This hotel offers wonderful atmosphere and tradition, and is surrounded by many lovely restaurants, shops, nightclubs & discos.
Locations: On the beach set in downtown Puerto Vallarta, 20 minutes from the airport.
San Marino is extremely basic, with one buffet restaurant and small pools. The rooms are simple, but beautiful and clean. The staff is lively and upbeat, as are the activities and the music at the pool however the hotel can get full on weekends causing the service to suffer a bit. The beach and pool at this property are so-so but there is an impressive pier just in front of the hotel. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's located right downtown, just minutes from restaurants, shopping and nightlife. No taxi needed! This hotel is gay-friendly, and offers both all-inclusive and European plan (no meals) packages.

The beds are super hard as are the pillows, but the cleanliness in the room was good.
The food has no flavor at all, the only moderately good thing is the desserts, they don't have very good organization to assign tables to guests, we had to wait a long time in line even though there were many tables available.
The only moderately good drinks at the bar are the michelada and the cantorito, from then on the other drinks taste very bad.
The staff for the most part was friendly and attentive.
The worst hotel in Puerto Vallarta, the doors of the rooms are very old and deteriorated, in the notice they give you it says that if you damage them they will charge you 10,000 pesos, if they are super old, they want to charge you for everything, the attention one of the security personnel and a detestable bartender, the other staff very friendly

The room...I didn't really like the super small bathroom, badly located, the room had a musty smell,...the pool was too small for so many people, but what I did like is that it is just a step away d the beach ☺️

The San Marino Hotel has a new area called Vista Pier, with an exclusive pool for adults.
All rooms have sea views.

Excellent location, comparative price - good option hotel, it is not a hotel that offers luxuries, but facilities in good condition, delicious and varied food, we traveled with my sister and our children, they really enjoyed the heated pools and above all the beautiful beach and views, I am very happy for the service and attention of all the staff, I promise to return.
You pay for a 3 star hotel and that's what you get, I hope they maintain it, it's nice. Good ubication. And VERY good price.
⚠️ *NOT HAS INTERNET IN THE ROOMS*, IT IS NOT A HOTEL TO WORK IN, it only has internet in common areas.
1. Room: ❌musty smell, cockroaches, bathroom doors that you struggle to close, pillows with a bad smell, uncomfortable like plastic, there is no ceiling light, only dimly lit lamps. Old design.
2. Service: ✅ Some people were very friendly and others were normal, but they always attended to our requests.
3. Location: ✅ Super well located to go to beaches in the south of the city, quick access to the beach and places to go out to eat, very quiet environment.
My visit in August 2023.
4. Common areas: ✅ Common areas such as pool, hallways, etc. They are well cared for.
✳️ If you are at the beach remember that they close the access doors at 7:00 p.m. and you have to go around to go through the main entrance (I don't see a problem).

Rich food, and room facilities lack maintenance and cleaning
Bad experience, the food is very limited, there was no variety, apart from that, some foods were raw. At the time of the snacks they only put a tray of potatoes for all the guests, once it was over they didn't put any more.
The bar hours were very short and they only had one person serving, sometimes you had to wait up to 30 minutes for a drink.
Lastly, the staff were very reluctant to serve.
I would never go back to this hotel.
I paid for an all-inclusive this weekend and I was surprised, the food is terrible, they are not seasoned, the rooms stink of drainage, they are not clean, the staff is friendly, the bar hours are very limited and everything they offer It's not good to eat, don't go, don't waste your money.

They do not have the necessary capacity to offer complete services (many people, little space in the restaurant, to mention something)
It only has one restaurant and does not have the capacity to provide an all-inclusive service at a medium occupancy. PS old rooms
Hotel with horrible rooms, urgent remodeling, old furniture, no light in the ceiling, ugly bathroom with bugs, the only redeemable thing is the location.
