2nd time and always great encounters. Fantastic beach!
It was an amazing week. The service is unmatched. The friendliness of the staff is being what we’ve experienced before. A la carte meals were delicious and the buffet offerings were more than satisfying. I’ve been to beaches all over North America and the one here is by far the best. Sand. like flour and gorgeous water. Our room on the second floor of building 61. (6156) had an amazing view and the beds were very comfortable. When you come here’s hoping one of your burgers is Rudy. He’s awesome!!! We highly recommend Sanctuary and will definitely be back!
This is paradise on earth!
The water is the most incredible turquoise I have ever seen and the sand is like powder. INCREDIBLE!
The staff here are so kind and friendly and go above to make sure that you are taken care of.
The food was plentiful and although it was a lot of the same every day, it was fresh, there was lots of choices and we never left hungry.
The rooms and resort itself needs some TLC but everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have.
I'd recommend bringing some toilet paper and if you are Canadian, please don't bring coins as they are not easy for the people to exchange.
Overall, it was well worth it and I'd definitely come back.
THE BEACH IS FABULOUS AND THE STAFF IS ATTACHING!
HOWEVER:
We arrived around 11:30 p.m. in our room during check-in, and it was dirty! The mattress skirt with slides of ??? A used toothbrush in our fridge, no bottle of water or anything else, no toilet paper! We cleaned the counters and drawers ourselves before settling in and the wipes were black with dirt!
Fridge full of rust (we can live with it) and although the Sanctuary was suggested to us because it was more VIP luxury, it was not true! We had to pay again to have the famous diamond club (we did not take it because initially we thought we had it!)
On the other hand, the view on the 3rd floor from our room was magnificent!
Rooms and public toilets are cleaner and less broken at Mémories. The public toilets at the Sanctuary are dirty and broken, doors that don't lock, no toilet seats to sit on and obviously no toilet paper (we know that!)
The food (we know, they are limited in their resources!) is the same thing every day for 10 days! All the prepared dishes are very fatty cooked in oil and there is little meat and lots of fat on each portion. Hygiene rules are questionable! Cold meats and cheese are on a counter for hours without ice underneath or anything else and it shows! The grills made on site of chicken, beef and pork are good but the staff uses the same utensil for all three and the bowls of raw meats sit unrefrigerated for hours on the side of the grill! The grilled fish made on site are, however, excellent!
We have been very ill the last few days, with violent diarrhea which forced us to stay in bed and lose a few precious days of our trip! And finally twice we were completely deprived of running water for several hours!!! Not easy when we are sick and we can't flush the toilet and take a shower!
Thank you for what you are, yes older buildings which gives the feeling of being in Cuba I love especially that cleanliness was there. Please pay attention to good drainage in the toilet bath or give something at the beginning... no flush when the bath is not empty, no paper in the toilet (the trash is emptied every day). Beach and 5-star service and I can say that food-wise they do the best they can with what they have, I loved it. Thanks again 🥰
Guys, we were having a great time here for sure. We are going to come back what people say about the place it was through. But anyways, we we don't care about it. The beach was amazing people are friendly and we love you on people. That's why we're going to come back next year.
This was the best Cuban resort experience I've had among several trips over the last few years. Excellent beach and pool, friendly and helpful staff, good facilities. You may occasionally need to breathe in the warm tropical breeze and be patient if you don't get everything you need instantly, and consider the conditions in which you are being hosted in this country. Special thanks to Lester who took care of reservations and any help we needed finding things. The beach and the pool were outstanding highlights.
We had an incredible time, all the workers were very friendly, attentive and happy. The room was very clean and the maid was very kind. I also really liked Armando's attention at the pool. and Mr. Ogledy was always with a beautiful smile
The gardens very well maintained. I saw them fumigating every day or I think that's what they did.
Everything is really working perfectly at the hotel. Even our song has been stuck in our heads and we already want to go back.
When we go to Cuba, it absolutely manages our expectations...
The food is ok but nothing more. There is choice, but no peanut butter and Nutella.
For the drink, to my great despair, there was no red wine. Stop at duty free to buy some. Toilet paper is also scarce.
The site and the rooms are super clean. But the rooms lack a little love.
The beach is exceptional. The algae is collected every day. And we can take long walks.
The staff is exceptional. The employees are always attentive to our needs. A special thank you to Lya and her manager mr. Santana. The concierge service is also great.
If you want to relax, this is the perfect place!!!

Incredible trip! The resort is lovely. The Staff are very kind and do anything they can to make your stay wonderful. Only one day they ran out of beer and vodka but lots of other drinks available. The food was delicious! Lots of selection and presented so nice. A la Cartes were good as well! The only thing I'd like is more night shows. There was an incredible guitarist who played one night. Would love to see him as a regular entertainer. The rooms were decent and always cleaned very well. The beach is like heaven! Probably the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Aqua blue water and white powdery sand. I never had an issue with sand fleas but in the evening there are mosquitoes so bring bug spray.
I loved our time here and will definitely be back. There will always be a bad review here and there but I'm being completely honest...this resort is worth it.
Rooms are dirty food is horrible always missing something cigarettes,beer,bread,coffee,coca cola and more most place here don’t take cash and employees are really badly treated by the owners who only thinks of there pockets I will never come on this side of the island again
It use to be good years ago before COVID but as they lost a lots of money during the time that we could not travel they are cashing in at the moment and not really taking care of us no more sea food and good stuff they also raised there price for everything in stores also new thing

You get what you pay for. It is very inexpensive, but the rooms and the resort itself is very rundown. On the plus side the beach is spectacular and the staff are very kind.
We were a group of 8 travelling together for the first time to Cuba. We enjoyed our stay, and everything was great! Very happy about the experience for our first time in Cuba. The staff were all bilingual and very professional and friendly people. Special shout out to Diego who was our butler who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was pleasant and enjoyable. He was pleasant and was available to answer any questions or resolve any issues at hand. The beach is beautiful and the pool area was great! If you are looking for place to relax and spend time in the sun this is for you!
