Seadust Cancun Family Resort Vacations

4.3 - 9271 Reviews
Cancun, Mexico

A beautiful beachfront resort located at the south end of Cancun's Hotel Zone, close to shopping and nightlife. Seadust Cancun Family Resort features great restaurants and bar selections, a kids' water park, and an amazing spa.

Location: Beachfront, 15 minutes from the airport.

Our Opnion

Good 4.5-star resort in Cancun. There are great options with regards to buffet and a la carte items. The staff is friendly and pleasant. There are a lot of daytime activities and excursions available for those wanting to venture outside of the resort. However, there were only a few nightly shows. The only issues that guests experienced were the inconsistent operations of the air conditioning system throughout the resort and rooms. There can be quite a bit of noise near the pool area. This resort is perfect for families or those with young children.

Would not recommend staying here. My family of 5 stayed here and employees were super rude. They try to scam you after your check-in. We paid for all inclusive and it's not. They charge you extra for everything. I've stayed at other all inclusive and have never had this experience. Would never stay there again.

Very nice and family hotel above all

It has everything you need in one place, areas for children with guided activities, good food and everything clean

An excellent place to visit with the family.

It’s okay for families with kids but sucks for adults beers are watered down draft light, liquor are cheap and sweet all food is reheated and served until finished. I had to leave and eat tacos at street vendor in downtown to get good food and bought corona at Walmart to have a good tasting beer, even the music at the bars suck they only play salsa I thought I was coming to Mexico 🇲🇽 not Puerto Rico.

Very good service, in general all the staff are very friendly, the rooms are very spacious, the buffet foods have good flavor and a lot of variety (generally in other hotels this type of food is tasteless). The alcoholic beverages are not of such bad quality and there is a wide variety of drinks.

    The bad points are:
In my simple room for 3 people, although the bathroom is very spacious, the toilet is inside a very small cubicle, which is uncomfortable for very tall people; Furthermore, they do not have safety or support bars or in the shower for people with disabilities. For me, the mattresses are very soft and you sink into them. The minibar doesn't cool enough and on my 4 nights it was not restocked. The television control did not work very well.

The children's pools are very far from the family area, you have to walk through the hotel when wet.
The hotel grounds are not very large, for my taste there are few pools, the beach area is very small and with very large rocks. The elevators leaked water and are too slow.

My family and I visited this past Feb. and we had a wonderful time. The entertainment crew were the best. They were super great with having a slideshow video put on after one of the shows for my mother-in law. The one host was so great with our kids they truly made their vacation so special and it was such a lovely memory they will cherish for a long time to come. The attention they gave and care to the children was beyond what we could have expected.

The facilities are a little old but you hardly notice it, the Japanese restaurant for me was the worst, terrible food.

Good for families, nice slides for the kids but taking a spot at the pool felt like hunger games where people wake up at 5am to put their towels, slippers or something to reserve the spots for the whole day.

Very bad system where 300 guests have only 40 chairs to share.

Also lots of things are VIP members only, so paying for all inclusive isn't enough...

Jamie one of the bartenders during my stay at the end of January was absolutely incredible he went above and beyond and made the adult pool way more enjoyable i highly recommend him!

Spectacular! The food, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, English, American restaurants, has everything for an all inclusive, no need to go out, pharmacy nearby, tourist attractions, getaways, tranquility, beach with bar. Kids zone, very familiar, well maintained

Fun for the family and friend food good i will come back next year safe place for kids kids love it lot off room good people

I had read among the same comments that the treatment of Mexicans was different than that of foreigners, in my case they treated us very well and it's not like I look foreign, I think that if you are friendly they will be kind to you, if they arrive feeling that they are superior to the employees Well it won't work. Everything is very good with the hotel, the only drawback is that there are not enough lounge chairs

We spent only 4 days at the Seadust to close the vacation.
From reading comments I had some fears, but from the moment I stepped foot in the hotel until we left, they treated us excellently.
Quick check-in, spacious room on the 9th floor (921). Unbeatable view of the lagoon and sea.
Some complain about the open fields on that side, but if there was a tower I wouldn't have the view I had.

Although some sectors deserve a renovation (swimming pools on the front and those in the kids sector), that's not something you can't enjoy.

The atmosphere is very familiar and especially pleasant for children.

The kid sector is very good, pools for small children, slide, playroom area (Xbox, shuffleboard, ping pong and other games).

It has a sports bar, another adults-only pool on the second floor.
Regarding gastronomy, the hotel delivers. The buffet is complete, people usually gather at breakfast; but it is only a delay of 5/10 minutes.
The a la carte restaurants are not by reservation but on a first-come, first-served basis.
I tried the Manhattan and it was good, then the Big Ben (mention to our waiter Pablo for his good service) and we really liked it. Finally FLORENCE, the Italian and the truth is that it is also very good.
Nice animation. He highlighted Alessandro, Gustavo, Omar, Adrián, Yaray Erwin.
    We would return without hesitation.

The best hotel in Mexico, the stay was spectacular, first-class facilities, great

Amazing hotel and service. Staff very friendly and food is impeccable . Lots of things to do and best for family and even for couples . It has a very good atmosphere and very clean. Please do tip the staff there as they do work hard and it made their day and in return you get amazing above and beyond service from them. Cesar from bar made best cesar drink of my life. Worth visit !!!

(Justin) Great staff and service at this resort! Food was great and atmosphere was the best. Special appreciation and thanks to Milo, Saulo, Jaime, and Aylin - the best beach bartenders you could've asked for! Their energy was so fun and exactly what you need on vacation. They made leaving twice as hard, will definitely be returning to see my friends again!

Loved the experience, can't wait to head back there again, people were really nice.

My family had an amazing time. Very family friendly. Kids enjoyed it very much. For the most part they accommodated our child's gluten allergy. Could use a few updates. Would recommend.
