Honolulu, United States
A century ago, Hawaii’s last and most beloved princess lived in the heart of Waikiki. Her story unfolds at the site, which today graces the former royal estate of ‘Ainahau. Just a two minute walk from Waikiki Beach, or the International Market Place, this historic property offers an enjoyable poolside atmosphere, as well as ‘Creation’, Sheraton’s Polynesian cocktail & dinner show.

My family stayed three nights in a newly renovated room in the Ainahau tower. It was on the 22nd floor, facing west.

We arrived way too early for our check-in. However, we didn't have to lift a finger once we got out of our cab. The bellman took care of the bags (12 in total), and the front desk took care of everything else. We got some good sightseeing recommendations from the concierge while we waited for our room.

The room (2dbls) had a partial ocean (more of a mountain) view. It also overlooked the International Market place. I really like how the open-air mall wraps around the banyan tree -- very cool. However, the air conditioner units on the adjacent buildings make it quite loud. It was consistently noisy at all hours. We drained most of the noise with the room fan set to HI.

The rooms were so new that they still smelled like paint, However, you could see what was new and old. Personally, they should have removed the (old) tub and replaced it with a shower. The beds were fantastic, the sheets were soft and lots to watch on TV.

The hotel provides lots of cultural activities throughout the week. It was a great way to get a feel for Hawaiian culture without forking over big $$$. You need to book the activities ahead of time to participate. Also, there are other table games to play on the main level.

One of our favorite moments was dinner during the live music and hula dancing. The drinks were strong, the food was delicious, and the service was amazing. We came back every night during our stay.

Overall, our family really enjoyed our stay. The Ainahau tower is renovated, and you want to face east, towards diamond head. There are sections of this hotel that are NOT renovated, and need some serious attention. The hotel is right in the heart of Waikiki, making everything extremely accessible. The hotel doesnt feel busy, and had access to all amenities. We loved every cultural activity onsite, and the recommendations provided by the concierge (ask for FREE things to see/do).

We always go back to the Princess Kaiulani, our 3rd visit.. the live music is just so amazing to take in from the balcony... the location is right near Kona, the Cheesecake Factory, the International Marketplace and so on.. basically everything you need is right there.. the beach is across the road which I guess is not as convenient as some hotels.. but its 2 minutes away.

Our kids did some classes this visit and the games room is really nice and modern too.. the only thing I found on this visit was the room walls seemed thinner than I remember.. so you could hear conversations etc.. but really its a minor gripe in another great visit.

Great location, small pool, and the rooms are a bit small and outdated. But I have nothing to complain about, and everything was nice and pleasant, GREAT value for a 3 star property!

Stayed here a few years ago. Room with partial ocean view. The room itself wasn't bad as it had a lanai, but I could hear the noise from the street until late at night, so I didn't think it was a hotel suitable for a quiet stay.

Located in the middle of Waikiki, you won't have any trouble finding a place to eat as well as the beach. It is close to Duke's Statue, where JTB and JAL Pack's HiBUS, HIS' Lea Lea Trolley, and Waikiki Trolley stop, making it a great base for sightseeing on Oahu (incidentally, Kuhio Street, where the municipal THE BUS stops, is also nearby).
The room is a little old, but the staff's smiles and service are satisfactory.

I stayed at this hotel just to sleep, so I wasn't looking for that much service, so I thought it was better than the reviews I had read.
The location was good and there were many things around, which was helpful.

[Guest room]
It was a construction view lol
Construction was being carried out across the road.
I don't mind that, but 8 o'clock? It was a little noisy as construction started around that time.

【sound】
On Friday and Saturday, I could hear outside noise and it was very noisy.
But wasn't there a neighbor? There was no problem there.

【shower】
Difficult to use, water pressure is weak.
It was so noisy because even though the tap was closed, it kept dripping.

[Amenity]
There were slippers, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc. that I thought I didn't have.
(Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. There is no body soap left lol)

[Resort fee]
I'm grateful to have water, and I'm grateful to be able to draw water.

Did the travel agency offer you a honeymoon? For some reason, we received a set of sweets (quite a lot) in an eco bag and a ticket for one free drink at SPLASH BAR per person.

Very small rooms

Leaving this review because I was so impressed by the service Lee gave! We were waiting for a tour bus to pick us up in front of the hotel and he approached us to provide helpful information and assure us we were in the right place. He gave this same great customer service to everyone in the area. I don't see this level of service often but loved that he took the initiative to give it. He deserves some serious recognition for a job well done!

After 20+ years of spending multiple summers in Waikiki with our kids, my wife and I took in this trip just my brothers due to our dads passing a year ago. The plan was to make this trip for him and I feel like we did right by him by going to all the places we knew he loved when he was stationed here and when we would come back. We actually spent my mom and dads 50th anniversary here and couldn't wait to honor him for all he did for us. Now back to Sheraton Princess. We have walked by this place hundreds of times but had never stayed here. I will say that for the room, it's worth it. The pool, bar, and restaurant are solid but nothing tremendous.

First of all we're in Hawaii and it's hard to find any place wherein the employees and hotels are not wonderful. That being said the staff here were amazing.

For me this hotel is so good because one of the morning said I was there I decided to go out for a run and broke my arm. I watch back to the hotel and they immediately help me obtain Medical Services.

The rooms are okay but not amazing.

My girlfriend and I stayed here thinking this is a good budget hotel. The staff is mostly super friendly and helpful. The location is good as it is centrally located on waikiki strip. The only issues I really had were with the actual hotel itself. They currently have construction going on and the walls are super thin. We can hear our neighbors and anything going on in the halls, rooms are pretty small. Also every morning around 7am you hear dumpsters and trucks since our room was facing the back of the hotel. They offer beach chairs during your stay but they were pretty dirty and broken down, I would suggest just grabbing some $30 Tommy Bahama chairs from costco. I am a bit disappointed with this Marriott property and definitely wouldn’t stay here again, although I do really enjoy Marriott hotels.

It was a tour, but I got an upgrade and stayed on the 26th floor of the tower wing.
A club nearby? You can hear the noise until almost 2 a.m. even if the windows are closed, as if they were open.
I couldn't hear any noise from the room next to the connected room.
The room itself was clean and the bed was soft but comfortable.

The room was quite ordinary. The following points were not very good.
・The room is dusty
・Water pressure in the shower is quite weak
・I can hear a lot of outside noise
Perhaps because there is a construction site in front of the room, there are many homeless people, and they are screaming every night.
Cars and motorcycles are running loudly.

My room didn't have a microwave in it. I had leftover food I was unable to heat up. Very nice staff and great location

Hotel response is good
The shared toilet is dirty
It’s a pity that the number of users is small⤵️😱(/.\)
The view on the 27th floor is good

Very beautiful hotel with lots of beautiful people ❤️

There are many staff who can speak Japanese.
Washing machines and dryers are $5 each.
Credit cards are also accepted.
It is located on the first basement floor using the central elevator.
There is also a microwave in the basement.
There is no kettle in the room, but you can have one brought to you if you ask.
Don't forget to bring your own towels for the pool, as they can be rented by touching your room card.
There are many convenience stores and restaurants around the hotel.
The staff at the hotel are all friendly, making it a comfortable hotel to stay in.
However, the walls of the room are thin.
I could hear the baby crying in the next room.

Very close to everything! Across the street from Waikiki Beach. Renovations are taking place, but we stayed in the renovated rooms, and it wasn't bad. We had a great view. The only downside would be the street noise. They should put noise makers in the rooms that are on the higher floors because everything echos there and it is loud at night. Otherwise we would stay here again as it was walkable to everything.

I love coming to this hotel to hookup. There are a lot of flight attendants I meet on Grindr that stay here overnight between flights. It's no hassle to get up to the room, give him the business, and be on my merry way. It's nice not being hassled by guards cause I don't look right.
Also, every member of the housekeeping staff I run into in the halls is polite and helpful. Great budget hotel that doesn't seem "cheap". Seen plenty of the rooms, and they're always clean. I would recommend this place to friends or family visiting. It's also smack in the middle of Waikiki, walking distance to everything.
