Our Opnion

The Smart Cancun by Oasis is an OK hotel to stay at in Cancun. This place is more fitting for those who are in Cancun for business rather than leisure. It is highly recommended that travelers who are looking for a peaceful night's sleep, to request a room near the hotel zone, as a majority of the rooms are situated near the city (making for an incredibly disruptive sleep). The food options here are OK. While the quality of the food is good, the restaurant offerings are limited. For those who have a busy itinerary, will be out of the resort grounds often, or those doing a short-term stay in Cancun, Smart Cancun by Oasis is a good hotel to get you by. However, for the price you pay, it's better to look at other options in Cancun.

The hotel is very nice, with a good location, very attentive and friendly staff, it is a clean and quiet place, with all the necessary services to enjoy a vacation or a business trip.

It is poorly located but everything else is good service, food, rooms.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location because it is at the entrance to the hotel zone but don't be fooled by the photos. It looks good from the outside but the rooms are old and dirty and the staff service is in line with the very rooms. mistreatment

100 % recommended! I love the customer service here everyone is so kind. Nashyeli is the best, I will forever be thank you for giving us the best experience at Smart Oasis Stay. Breakfast is delicious and it’s different everyday. The pool was clean and not crowded at all! They even have a lifeguard on duty. Bar, and restaurants onsite. Location is great because is close to a lot of restaurants, Oxxos, bus stations and taxis are available in front of hotel if needed.

We had a menu in our room but they said we could not order from it?? That was odd but we found a yummy street food place just actor's the street that was fantastic!!

Avoid. The supervisor Maria was rude and the room was in poor condition, especially the bathroom.

Yo! So basically me and my hood gang was pulling up to this hotel I guess. And first we had to wait there in the trenches that they call their lobby. The supervisor, Maria treated us worst than any getto New York Harlem slums would ever. (Trust) She acted like we pulled up the wrong gang sign in the wrong hood and I was like yo! Your trippin dawg I don’t wanna listen to this yappanation Tarnation. We waited in that stinking rat trap lobby for like a hour to get into our room that was horrid. Our bathroom looked like it one from a prison like Blud. Me and my gang are not that hood. Then I take a look around and the ceiling is straight New York projects style like Yo! I’m not taking this disrespect or watching any Chanel’s on that five below TV. Thank you and read it all before I call my gang on you (ps. I took a massive dump in the toilet and now it’s clogged your welcome!💗💗💗) I forgot to add that they locked us out of our room like we were some ghetto hoodlums. We stormed down that elevator that was about to set on fire and explode any millisecond. We went up to the two workers and we was like yo what’s up?! Why’d you lock us out, at the end of the day they came up with some retardation story that was so ridiculous. They also was laughing when we told them and like bro I’m not taking this disrespect! So Maria and Wendy your both getting fired hope you like scrubbing diarrhea filled toilets at McDonald’s!! Then we’ll see who’s having a little giggle.

Very good hotel, pleasant service. They can also rent the rooms for personal events and the hotel will serve the banquet and provide the venue. Good served.

Nice hotel within walking distance of some fabulous restaurants with authentic Mexican food. Nice gym, huge pool! The food in the 24 hour cafe was really good, we did that for breakfast each day. The bar area had good burgers and the potato wedges were awesome 👌

They stole our wallet, they are thieves.
I hope the hotel explodes or falls in an earthquake.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a week duration. The location of this hotel is good, as it's close to the town and street markets of Cancun and most of the excursions do collect and drop you in front of it. The have good facilities like 3/4 different outdoor pools and 4 Jacuzzis and food from restaurant (we only had breakfast) was good with different options.

However, the negatives were greater than the positives on our stay. The reception staffs were awful, delusional and did not carry themselves to help (they thought we didn't understand Spanish!!). We put forward queries which they could not communicate back to us prior to our visit and on the day of arrival; they did not do anything till the last day of our stay to mention about this coupon we were supposed to receive which by then was too late.

The room (616) shower is horrible and does not have a mixer which means it's either cold or very hot. Also, the shower pressure was weak, and water was dribbling rather than flowing so after a long day out, we had to suffer in cold showers. The shower area could have been a bit cleaner. Hotel personals could not rectify after 2 visits but after complaints, offered us another room which unfortunately, we found the bed had stains and was unclean (shower had the same issue so no point of moving across) - room 611 and 612. We took pictures and showed it to the reception supervisor.

Our room was on the roadside and so it was noisy and can be difficult to sleep at night with all the noises.

About the restaurant - They have to start opening for breakfast earlier than the time they do which is 7 - 11 because most excursions start at 6am and so there is no way to have breakfast! They must be more understandable and find a reasonable solution - it's a shame that we could not enjoy what we paid for

Our vacation could have been better if our stay here was good. We wouldn’t consider this hotel for the future.

Only use this place as a meeting point for different tours. Even though you can see that the place is beautiful.

Hotel with a good location that is the important thing!!

Pros ➕
+Good location (center)
+excellent beautiful area with swimming pools
+clean rooms
+help with luggage and speak good English at the reception
+good price/quality ratio
+lack of bars and clubs nearby

Cons ➖
-bad shower, needs to be replaced
-noisy (near the road)
-at the reception they said different information (we needed a late check-out, at first they said to pay extra, but in the morning another person said that there was no need to pay anything (check-out 1:30-2:00)
-you have to wait in line for breakfast
-at breakfast, juice diluted with water, no seafood

Overall the hotel is good, pleasant, I had a good rest

Room is nice and clean. However, check in was difficult. The front desk lady told me that I'm at a wrong hotel and sent me to the hotel next door. Then the other hotel sent me back because it turned out that I was at the right place the first time. Also I was charged an additional 180 MXN/ night environmental tax

The staff here are RACIST, and I’d honestly recommend you look elsewhere, or proceed with caution if you do consider booking here! Security stared at us for 20min before approaching us and asking why we were there. Keep in mind, we had an online reservation. He then nodded while raising his eyebrows as if he didn’t believe us, stood next to us without talking for another 2-3min, and walked away to an area where he could watch us from a short distance. The man working the excursion booth wouldn’t even raise his head to answer our questions, and when he did answer he’d give careless, 1-2 word responses! But when another family came up, he immediately stopped what he was doing, greeted them with much enthusiasm, and even shook their hands before the conversation about activities ensued. As I write this review, I now see that this hotel has several one-star reviews based on the security staff alone. There’s no excuse for their behavior; they are simply a racist group of staff members. And it looks like it’s been going on for a while now based on the reviews and their ease of mistreating people.

Very good location, perfect hotel for a work stay, it has everything you need.

Aesthetically very nice hotel, with a good visual impact, the rooms could use some improvements, the space is certainly good, the room is large, but not very quiet, and the air conditioner is very noisy, impossible to keep on at night. The room amenities are sufficient but the power sockets are not present on the sides of the bed, they are far away and is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast offered is of a good standard, very varied and tasty, the outdoor part with swimming pool, gym, relaxation area, everything is very nice. The location is excellent but I would say that in Europe it would be worth 3 stars not 4.

I put 1 star!! Because you cannot do less than this, TERRIBLE SERVICE, NEVER GO TO THIS HOTEL. When we arrived, on January 30, 2024, they charged one of the minors as an additional fee and an extra cost of around $200 and then they refused to give us breakfast because According to them, it was not included in the accommodation when the voucher they gave us indicated that it was accommodation and breakfast. TERRIBLE HOTEL, NJNCA GO
