The property is beautiful on the beachfront.

The service was exceptional. Norby Carvajal was beyond helpful, kind and generous with his time. Norby was so personable and made our tour and experience 100% better. Exceptional customer service.

Great location. Rented ocean view room.

Good rooms (a little small), plenty of pools, beautiful grounds, unbeatable location and an amazing restaurant...try the NY steak!

Only not great thing is that the staff are all pretty grumpy... Smile and say Buenos dias, and you get a look a like they wish you would go away.

I really liked the trails they have and the animals that are in the surroundings.

The monkeys and nature with the sunset are wonderful

My family booked a tour through Diria which we believed to be a trusted source. The staff helped us with booking kindly. The volcanic tour and waterfall itself was fun, beautiful and as described. This is a two hour journey and a 3-4 hour journey coming back. The driver was rude never introduced himself and after asking him to please slow down and him saying okay several times he continually put us and the 8 others in a very dangerous situation passing cars around blind curbs and constantly trying to pass car after car even though it got us nowhere. There was traffic which is to be expected when visiting Costa Rica but at no point in time should that permit you to drive like a maniac. Multiple individuals became sick because of his driving and the ac worked on the way up but not on the way back but the driver could care less. Things happen but there was zero communication and a strong lack of customer service by even saying I’m sorry. After our arrival back to Diria the tour manager could care less about our experience and claimed it was because our driver couldn’t speak english and there was traffic. Again, I don't care what language you speak and if theres traffic or not it does not allow you to be a complete idiot on the roads and to not care about others safety. The tour manager was honestly ridiculous and the staff who helped is conveniently lost their ability to speak or understand english. One of these trips will end in someone getting seriously hurt or worse and it will not be because of the tour but because of the driver. Diria made it very clear nothing will be done because “not enough people have complained” this is not the “Pura Vida” that we have enjoyed here as a family. We will not be booking or using any of their services again.

I am reposting a review because the owner replied and was nasty
If he wants to talk to me he is welcome to
The room was not up to par and I will not go back and forth being accused of slander.
Sorry I hurt your feelings !

Great food, and drinks at the best prices around!!

We came to a super nice and very delicious event. The attention. More or less.

It is a beautiful hotel with very spacious grounds - and it's location is right on the beach.

Outstanding hotel and great location.

The location couldn’t possibly be better. An easy walk to everything. We visited during peak spring break/easter and it never felt overcrowded. Could always get a lounger at the pools, never struggled for a table or a seat at the bar.

Zero nightlife inside the resort, but there’s plenty of that in town so it was perfect. Chill vjbes. Lots of families.

Beautiful bar and outdoor space by the ocean to watch the sunset or relax and have breakfast in the mornings.

The rooms are nothing special. But if you’re coming to Costa Rica for the hotel room, I might suggest you’re doing it wrong.

Oh hey check out this monkey that visited us on the patio. The banana eating act was a bit on-the-nose, but he is a monkey so I’m fine with it.

One of the best hotels in Tamarindo. With sea front. Good pools, variety of restaurants and excellent location

We stayed in February 2024, it was our honeymoon and we had our 3 children with us. This hotel is sitting on a beautiful ocean front property with million-dollar sunsets. The main part of the hotel (ocean side) is stunning, the included breakfast is 10/10. Unfortunately, where this hotel lacks are its rooms... we had a room in the tropicana family area for our 3 kids the room was extremely small with two double beds despite us booking queens. We had to add a cot and it took up all the space in the room. My husband and I had an ocean front room, and it was tiny (dirty, had drops from the air conditioner dripping down the walls, terrible water pressure in a beat-up shower, gaps in the door going outside, hard beds). I would not return... good spot to watch a sunset and have a drink. The hotel does not have lounge chairs on the beach only on strip of grass.

Beautiful resort in the middle of the busy area with beach access at the most beautiful part of the beach. The sunsets here were amazing and the food and drinks were great too. Great service. Highly recommended.

We loved the hotel. We stayed in Tamarindo for 2 weeks and in 3 different hotels because we kept extending during the busy time so had to move about. Diria was my favorite spot. My only complaint was that the rooms really need renovations and the AC wasn't strong enough to really cool down the room in the hot Costa Rican March. Only reason, I'm giving the hotel only 4 stars. Other than that 5 stars all around.

If you want to experience miserable guests and workers this your place! If you sick of Pura Vida and culture come to Tamarindo and this hotel.

Rooms are tight, but nice. What you expect from a hotel. Mattresses could be improved. Both wife and I woke with stiff lower backs every morning, nothing we were not able to shake off. Hopefully you don't get a noisy hallway. We ran into a noisy and bus load of spring breakers staying in our hallway. Grounds are great. Beach is public so no resort chairs there. Would have to pay for your spot if wanted one. Beach is shallow and beautiful. Great place to learn to surf. Pay for lessons from the guys on the beach vs the resort. Best time to surf is early morning or late afternoon. Tide rolls out all mid day. Beware of the rocky areas. Soooo many people selling things on the beach. Be prepared to say no thank you 20 times a day if you are on or near the beach. Breakfast is amazing but as of 10am on the dot, you are paying for anything else you want. I wish the people serving breakfast (omelettes, pancakes, etc) were at least somewhat happy. They clearly do not like their jobs, which I can get, but its not the best customer experience first thing in the day. Night life is really great. For a family of 4, after this initial visit is over, Tamarindo will become a day trip experience from a near by beach town.

This place is amazing. Great location right downtown next to everything, you couldn't get any better. They also have another hotel across the street where you can enjoy all of those amenities too. It's sunsets here are the best. Highly recommend.

Staff was very rude at the hotel and the rooms are outdated and the price was extremely high at over $400 a night. I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone
