My wife and I went to the Cove for the Honeymoon in Oct 2023. As soon as we check in, the person didn't seem to be happy and seemed to be rude whenever I asked a question. Our first impression checking in wasn't that great.

The major issue is that were told by our Travel agent that there's a $150 USD credit per day to use for food and/or excursions. As its not all inclusive, we decided this would be great for us and made a decision to book. When we arrive, we were told only $75 is used for food and the remaining is for excursion. I called directly using the phone agent at the hotel. This group that is under the same resort management mentioned specifically that $150 can be used for food and restaurant. There seems to be a disconnect. The front manager was aware and applied this. However, there was another manager that didn't accommodate this. I had to speak to them several of times in order to receive the food credits. We only receive this credit for the full $150 for 50% of our stay. This was very inconvenient.

Other than the terrible front desk manager and front desk concierges' attitude, this was the only issue. We enjoyed our stay by trying out the water parks daily, restaurants, and casino. It felt like a Vegas hotel with an added water amusement park. They do have a great shuttle service to each of the resorts. Its fast and convenient.

The Cove has better quality hotels but I wouldn't stay here. If we do come back, we would go to the Royal as all of the main attractions are located there. The Cove seems more private, but we did not like the front desk service.

We enjoyed our stay. Our room attendant did a great job. Water park was super. Lots of different water activities.

Was not disappointed. Can’t wait to come back.

In short the culture of Bahamians is rude and condescending. Come and discover it for yourself. The attitude is everywhere. First and last time.

Not a fan. Very dated.

We stayed at The Cove over our spring break and absolutely loved it. My husband, my 17-yr old daughter, and myself enjoyed the trendy and quiet atmosphere. It was our first time at Atlantis so we weren't sure what to expect, especially when the front desk person at Margaritaville said that Atlantis was dated. We found that to be false. The common areas were always clean and the staff was super helpful. The rooms could use a little facelift-- replacing the carpets with laminate or vinyl would be a great way to update the room and get rid of the musty old smell we encountered in our deluxe king room. You could tell that the room had been perhaps a smoking room, or just someone smoked in there in the past. It wasn't unbearable and didn't affect our stay... but it was noticeable when we walked in from our other room.

We started our stay in a double queen room and those beds were SO COMFORTABLE. We moved to a deluxe king and the king bed wasn't nearly as comfortable as the queen beds. The view was superb though. We were also impressed that we didn't have to haul our luggage back to bell services until our other room was ready. They had it ready to go so when we left the first room at 11am, the second room was already ready for us.

The resort charges daily gratuity for the room, in addition to the resort fee, which might be odd for some people. However, we had daily room turn down service twice per day. We'd go out in the morning and see the room had been tidied. Then, we'd go out in the afternoon and come back to it had been tidied again, more shampoos, etc.

I was impressed with the staff and their eagerness to help, especially the bell services staff. We were supposed to be picked up by a Majestic Tour shuttle and unfortunately the shuttle waited at the wrong location and then just drove off. When this happened, the bell services staff, who knew we were waiting on that shuttle immediately ran to the bell service station and got on the phone with the company and made sure the shuttle came back for us. I was in awe that at least 2-3 of them went out of their way to make sure we didn't have to worry about even calling the company ourselves!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Cove and are already looking at when we can come back!

I’m going to the pool and the worker was blowing on me, I was covered in dirt and sand, until I told him to stop what you’re doing, he didn’t even apologize. I’ve never seen such a nightmare.
Never come here again.
Manager were unprofessional.

Wifi doesn't work. We asked the administrator to check if there was a problem, they took my phone and put it in airplane mode. CRAIG LIGHTBOURNE.
HOTEL MANAGER - BAY AND REEF Atlantis and the manager told me that he could send someone to my room after dinner, but at the moment there was nothing that could be done. The manager does not know how to solve the problem, he is not a professional at all, I don’t know how you can keep such people in such positions. I will never come here again and will not recommend it.

This is such an amazing hotel! We had a great vacation!

UPDATE:

They cannot change your bedsheets at any time requested - something UNHEARD of in a 5-Star Hotel (past 8 PM).

Additionally, they test their alarm system about every 2-3 days, so be prepared to be woken up at 8.30 AM! It's not like they could do it when people are out of their rooms (maybe 12PM?); instead, they prefer to bother you.

If you want a VIP treatment, look elsewhere.
If I could give it 0 stars, I would. It just keeps getting worse. Heaven for proletarian (broke) people.

I will PERSONALLY fight to have this hotel's stars removed, so Atlantis; get ready for it!
Mark my words.

---

While the resort may look pretty and has a lot of activities to offer, I would recommend people think twice before booking here. Atlantis has recently changed owners, so perhaps that is the reason behind the poor service!

First of all, the rooms (Lapis Ocean Club Suite) are old, and for the price they ask simply not up to par! Best part about the rooms was the view.
Our room frequently smelled like Marijuana, coming from the bathroom (vents?).

However, the issue at Atlantis does not necessarily lie with the rooms, but rather with the service;

Partly the staff does not even know they are a 5-star hotel; some think it is a 4-star (which in my honest opinion is a more suitable rating, if that!). Imagine employing people who think they are working in a 4-star hotel, when in reality you are a 5-star hotel; maybe that is where the first issue lies.

Ordered a romantic room set-up for my girlfriend and I (rose petals, champagne, whatnot!) - they delivered the flowers, but forgot to clean our room; so after a relaxing spa experience, we came back to our room with a surprise! Bed not made, towels still dirty, etc. - How romantic! (See Pictures attached, and pardon the broken camera!)
When I first asked for this service, I was assured this would be possible for the next day - however it took around 3 days for them to actually get it done (if you can call it a full service!).

Next, the food is absolutely atrocious in all establishments - with the exception of Nobu which is great!
I was even brought moldy bread for my breakfast - again, not something you would expect from a 5-star hotel.

Generally, I'd say this hotel needs to adjust its service and quality control, or adjust their hotel rating; I've seen better 4-star hotels!

Most people working there simply do not care about anything;
the only exceptions were Nassette and Neyvis. It seems they are the only two people in that hotel that care about the establishment, so hats off to them!

If it were up to me, I would rate this hotel a 4-star AT MOST! Do not come expecting luxury:
It is more like an "American tourist trap".

I am used to the finer things in life, so I can say from experience that this is simply not a 5-star hotel.

If anything, go to Aquaventure, the Spa or the Casino and Nobu; everything else is NOT WORTH a penny!

Wonderful hotel, excellent structure.

The Cove is an excellent hotel, nicest at Atlantis. Not at close to all the action as the Royal, or as family friendly as the Coral, but the most beautiful and upscale.

Double turn down service, friendly service, beautiful views, and cool breezes. We would go back for sure. The property is amazing.

Overpriced and outdated. Arrived at the Cove to find my room wasn’t ready (check-in is 4pm and I arrived at ~4:30pm). While this would not have been a big deal, several people arriving after me (including people in my party) didn’t have this same issue—their rooms were ready. The front desk staff never offered to take my bags while I waited for my room, nor did they tell me about a “transition” room where I could’ve changed and enjoyed the pool or beach while I waited. They also missed the chance to encourage me to enjoy the bar or restaurant. They just told me to wait. No one even bothered to provide me an overview of the grounds even though this was my first time visiting. One of the desk staff was rude and ultimately, begrudgingly found an available room, which I believe was a lower grade room than what I paid for. This is assessed on others in my party who paid the same price yet had ocean view rooms. Overall there were a lot of other minor issues, spotty wifi, outdated room that didn’t appear fully cleaned, empty minibar, no bottled water in the room, inconsistent availability of beverages, etc. I had a great time because of the group I was with, but this place is overpriced and overrated—not worth over $1k night.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms and stunning sea views.

Pros:
- Nice rooms & views
- Water park was busy but good fun & beach was nice
- Shuttle bus service was very efficient

Cons:
- Pool staff were incredibly rude and judgemental (questioned me every time I visited the adults only pool about my age & I was never asked if I would like anything, despite many staff members wandering past me).
- Still pretty busy / noisy
- Food was decent but nothing special

If you have a family and want something that's not quite as hectic as the main Atlantis hotel, then this might be for you.

If, however, you want a truly luxurious 5 star stay in the Bahamas, go to the Ocean Club.

The pool was amazing the staff exceptional always helpful with any of your needs or any questions love this place can't wait to return food and drinks also amazing and maids did an excellent job also

What an amazing experience !
Lighting was brilliant !

Fantastic accommodation worthy of its 5star. I will stay here again next time. The view in both sides is heavenly. The ambience is perfect for one who want peace and quite after an all day affair outdoors.

We went to breakfast there and really enjoyed it. The water effects are beautiful as you walk around. We could have sat for hours just in the walkways watching the fish.
