This has been An amazing experience so far. We loved the resort and the staff is very friendly. Willie and erlin have been the best servers and have been so friendly. Our drinks were ready even before we said and that’s amazing when someone knows you. Loved the food. It’s our first time here and I think we will be visiting again soon. The vibe is amazing .

Tryp cayo coco is like my second home. I feel at home there. The staff at this hotel are extraordinary, with incomparable kindness and dedication. A lot of work is underway to restore the Tryp to its primary function of receiving tourists. We had a wonderful week, the food was very good and we didn't want for anything. Twice we ate lobster and what a lobster!!! For a little extra. It had been twelve years since I last traveled and the hotel staff remembered my partner and myself. Surprisingly, Canadian and American money is accepted everywhere, no need to exchange your money but plan for more than not enough. Some the hotel needs a little rejuvenation, but if you want a beautiful beach and turquoise and crystal clear water and attentive staff to your every need..... the Tryp Cayo Coco is the destination of choice

Room is not clean. No water in the shower. Food is terrible, pool is ok beach is gud. Service is good. Drinks are ok. Lots of fly. No cleanliness. Very poor hygiene. I wouldn’t recommend to go with kids. I will never go back here

Old hotel, cockroaches in the supposedly ready and clean rooms for check-in. Many of them without air conditioning. In the main dining room there was no air and there were cockroaches on the food trays. Full of mosquitoes, which is not the hotel's problem, but they sprayed us in the face without even asking permission or at least notifying us. The comments below of mine above you realize that they are all locals sent to give 5/5 because the same thing happened to everyone if they read. Look at the names if not. All Cubans hahaha. They are the worst.

Great value. I would go back.

Service was good. Food ok ok. I liked the grill option. You can also order lobster for extra charge with advance notice

The only place we will go. Never disappointed

An excellent place, unparalleled quality service, thank you Leisell, the best cocktails and first-class service, I love the entertainment Indira, Steve, I will return soon

The hotel was wonderful as was the food.
The only bad thing is the great indifference there is, the treatment towards foreigners is not the same as that given to Cubans
I think it's something they have to change.
Everything else wonderful

Dream holidays. The hotel is beautiful. It is a paradisiacal place where you will connect with the real Cuba. Staff and food 10

The rooms without water or to flush the toilet, the food is scarce, there is no air in the rooms, the shower does not work, tremendous stench in the lovy bar and above all, there are cockroaches, I do not recommend it, I am here in 2024, this lack of respect for is incredible. The amount of money one spends is shameless, what we live here

Location is great! The management from what I have seen genuinely cares. I watched a manager (DaIkel) try to enforce the no smoking policy indoors and be disrespected, called slurs, and more. Yet this man remained calm and composed, and was still able to be friendly and receptive afterwards. Genuinely impressed by the level of professionalism he showed in spite of guests getting in his face and taunting him

Still a fantastic place, we started staying at Tryp Cayo Coco 13 years ago and just returned for our 4th trip.

The resort staff and Cuba people are so friendly they make the average Canadian look rude, it truly is a warm and welcoming place.

For first timers, Cuba is struggling as a nation due to the changes in the global economy and their unique trading situation. As such, they sometimes may run out of something at your resort. That said we just returned from a week there and never wanted for anything. My daughter is fairly picky and it was to the point that when she walked in the lovely man working would start making her a little cheese pizza as soon as he saw her.

The rooms are certainly not as up to date as a newly constructed hotel but the AC works great, wifi reaches most rooms and beds are comfortable. But who comes for the rooms? This resort is situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with soft white sand and plenty of shade structures to keep our winter Canadian marshmallows from getting too toasted.

We will certainly be returning again and it was a pleasure to meet so many new people this time around and see some old friends. Be sure to look up Fis at the omelette bar in the mornings, he is always so cheerful and is incredible to watch, truly a culinary master!

Oh and bring cat treats if you're a cat lover! The resort has many outdoor kitties that are very friendly and work hard keeping all the typical pests at bay.

we were there in Jan./18 and enjoyed everything..reat food . excellent service..GREAT DRINKS......we went back to Tryp on January 27/2024 and everything was great

First time, I am going back! I loved it...so, so clean, service from employees done with a greeting and a smile, polite, everyday! Food, was great...from the lobby, to the beach, I was amazed...Ola, with a smile!!!
Gracias, I loved my 10 days....and got to meet many people, from everywhere, and a special person...

My husband and I took our first trip to Cuba in early February 2024 and stayed at Tryp. We were nervous about what to expect, seeing such a variety of ratings for all resorts, but we had a great time!

Cuba is a third world country and as such, some western standards need to be suspended when visiting. We arrived to gorgeous weather and a smiling, friendly rep who guided us to the bus, this resort is only 20 mins from the airport so no long transfers which was good after an early morning flight. The resort is beautiful, a little run down but not in a way which compromised the experience. Our room was clean, bed was comfy and shower was hot. We got spotty wifi in our room and strong wifi near the lobby and buffet areas. The resort wasn't busy which was great as it was never crowded on the beach or by the pool.

Staff were so friendly and positive towards guests, always doing their best. Entertainment was different every night and drinks were readily available. Don't be too fussy, they might not have your favorite fancy drink but spanish coffees and rum and cokes are always there, even right on the beach.

This resort has a snack bar near the lobby (not on the beach or by the pool) with fries (sometimes) and small snacky sandwiches, good for a nibble.

The buffet was good! Yes there are flies but what can you do. We didn't have any supply issues we noticed, eggs every day and fresh meat and fish, butter and bread. Some of the options were new to us, lots of pickled stuff and plantain but always a variety. Those people who want a plate of pasta and sauce could have that and those who wanted grilled fish and veggies could have that too. Food wasn't always piping hot but again, it's a buffet, it's just how it is.

Our biggest recommendation is to bring CASH. Creditcard machines are rarely available and dont always work. We never once felt like we would have money stolen or that it wasn't safe to leave things in the roo.. Tipping culture is big, we left singles with our servers, bartenders and all the staff we came into contact with really. $5 for the maids everyday, who swept all the sand we walked into the room, left the beds in perfect folded condition, and even left us some towel animals each day!

Staff will try to sell you things, cigars, extra bottled water, fishing excursions etc, but not particularly aggressively or in a way that was uncomfortable.

Finally, bring things to leave for staff if you can. Sanitary items, toiletries, advil, clothing, all appreciated.

Beautiful scenery. The people/staff were amazing friendly and always took care of everything. Lots of different foods. Only thing was 1 of 4 Ala carts were open and no beach snack bar (under renos). Other then that everything was fantastic and I would highly recommend. Also the trip didn't break the bank!

Great value for the money. We paid $825 for a week in February and this place exceeded our expectations. I have been to Cuba several times.

The staff is friendly and is the reason why many people return. We also met a lot of great people on the resort.

The beach is gorgeous

Food: There are food shortages but we had plenty of options. Both restaurants were great. The buffet had a crepe and omelette station for breakfast. There was also a smoothie station. For dinner there were stations for a grill (fish, chicken, beef, pork, calamari), pizza, stir fry/pasta. They didn't have 7up, ginger ale and soda most days but did have coke and tonic.

There is a foul smell from the stagnant water under the bridge on the way to the buffet.

Entertainment: They had a variety of shows from dancing, circus, singers and a flute player. The lobby had dancing after and we made the most of it even though it was a small group (we danced 3 of the nights)

Accomodations: The rooms are dated. I didn't see any cockroaches and there were no mosquitos in the room. There were a few flies but apparently that is unusual for this time of the year.

I was there with my wife in 2004, then the hotel was excellent, food, room service, everything was great and everyone was smiling.

Very good attention, food, drink, Odalys, the excellent disposition of the Hotel staff, *Odalys, William, Leisell, Yubey, Osmany, Alexander... a great dancer in addition to an excellent moso, makes it more beautiful to the hotel...which is excellently located,
The beaches are wonderful, the lifeguards are also very friendly...
Highly RECOMMENDED hotel.
