The hotels, especially the Arena Blanca, need renovation of the common area. Few activities for guests. The strip of sand is being eaten away by rising sea levels - it was non-existent at the VIP and small at the Blanca arena. The room is ok and spacious. Bad drinks and desserts, but the food was surprising due to the hotel's conditions. The receptionist herself advised me not to use the gym as it was in poor condition. Wouldn't go back.

On paper this is a good choice of resorts in the area. We stayed in the "VIP" section dubbed Cayena. The only VIP thing I can distinguish is the "private" pool and bar/restaurant that the regular side of the resort cannot access. Our ocean view room provided us just a sliver of a view to the water, the included wifi in our room was not operable, and any other benefits or upgrades were imperceptible. The view really surprises me since capacity is far less than half and I'd think you would put your guests in the best rooms!?

Check in was smooth, size of resort was easy to traverse, beach is really close, drinks were good. Unfortunately, the beach has eroded away so much, there wasn't any were to sit on the beach right in front, but the neighbor resorts have beach areas and ours has lounges up on small cliff. Food has been mediocre at best. Usually the ala carte restaurant has better food than the buffet, but we found the most acceptable food to be anywhere it is freshly prepared while you wait. Egg stations at breakfast and pasta station for dinner were standouts in a weak field.

The attached dive shop (reviewed separately) has its own issues and the equipment is quite dated. Biggest issue we had was the weather, wind specifically, which can't be controlled by the resort. Going into the ocean wasn't really a consideration for most. But it's important for those of us who scuba or snorkle. The staff seem to be used to this, so maybe this just isn't the best location to choose if that will be a concern for you.

Would I return? Nope. If pay more to go to a different resort/ location.

My first day there that my wife, son and I arrived at the hotel room I thought that our safe security box was broken so I went down to the lobby for them to fix the issue, when I get there they told me that to use the safe it would be 2.00 a day, I said cool, but when I got upstairs my wife was mad at the fact that the maintenance guy came into our room while she was naked getting dressed. When I got there I asked the guy why didn’t he knocked and he said he did when in reality he didn’t, he didn’t even announce himself when he enter the room other than that the hotel service and staff is great, but when I went there wasn’t much to do, only 1 swimming pool was open and at the buffet there wasn’t too much of a variety….. also in the night time there is not much to do, by 11:30 the night was basically done, then again you get what you pay for.

Perfect location!
Absolutely top beach, very quiet and relaxing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Few rooms, therefore very few people.
Excellent staff at all points in the VIP Club.
Evening shows or fitness not worth mentioning as absolutely bad. Didn't bother us, we wanted to just chill out. Here you really have peace and quiet in a small circle.

It is the VIP of the VIK hotels in Punta Cana, there are few rooms, we reserved 3, spacious with a mini-kitchen and a living room, additionally it has access to the beach from the back. The staff is excellent in their cleaning, food and reception service! We highlight the kindness and affection of Melanie and Barbara. Cayena's restaurant is delicious, a la carte, and the view is unique. the beach is clean and very comfortable. In the Cayena, everything is close, you don't need cars or long walks to get from one place to another. it is very quiet. We will stay there again without hesitation.

This place is the VIP area of the Vik Arena Blanca hotel. Few rooms, through the doors/balconies there is an exit to the beach, literally the backyard is sand, lounge chairs, palm trees and the sea. The rooms facing the sea are not renovated, although they are clean and well maintained. Those that have a little sea view on one side are renovated with great taste and materials. The attention of the staff is spectacular! The food is very varied à la carte during noon in the dining room that is in the VIP area, located between the sea and the pool, the view is amazing, breakfast is also served here. Dinner is served in the dining room of the Vik Arena Blanca hotel. After the pandemic, the level of cocktails has dropped a bit. Building maintenance is good, but linens and mattresses leave much to be desired. It
The best thing about this VIP hotel is the attention of the staff, the privacy that you have because there are very few rooms and the exit to the immediate beach. The night shows are always the same and with little artistic development, they leave a lot to be desired. The gym that is shared with the hotel that is not a VIP is very abandoned, dirty, the machines do not work well... The 2 stores save everything, because they have everything one may need. It is a very quiet place to relax.

Our experience at the Vik Cayena Beach hotel has been fantastic. Very good attention from the workers. The beach is very clean and monitored by the hotel at all times. I would repeat my stay there.

Luckily we were upgraded from VIK to Cayena Beach. The restaurant is very good. It's not a buffet but always a la carte, plus a salad buffet. You can order something different from the menu every day and the waitress will bring the food to you that is totally fresh and delicious. Staff at the pool bar also 1a!

Excellent resort with spacious sea view suites and magnificent beach!

Very clean and unlimited meals and drinks with an excellent view of the sea and an inground pool with spa
