This resort was luxurious and we had our stay during autumn break. The rooms were a nice temperature, the staff was fairly nice, and the weather was perfect.

Our family visited recently for five nights and had an excellent time. The grounds, beach, pools are all immaculate. Between the beach and the pools it was hard to decide where to spend our time. The kids loved the inflatable play space in the ocean and there was always an activity available. Service was exceptional. The rooms while a little dated are clean, comfortable and have great views. I would argue even more comfortable than the newer resort next door. We tried a new restaurant every night and found all of them to be great. Lunch and breakfast are a little lacking but totally serviceable and the kids loved every meal. They do have you sign for all-inclusive which I preferred because it was easier to tip. The spa is excellent and a quiet oasis. We skipped the timeshare pitch and never felt too much pressure on that front. Highly recommend for any family.

Aside from the location, my family of four absolutely LOVED everything about this resort!
From the food, the setting, how clean it is, how pleasant the ALL the staff were, the pools, the Zumba classes…..
We have nothing bad to say about this resort
We have already spoke about returning in the future!
We stayed in room 2503B. Perfect view for sun rises and Sun sets
The breeze off of the ocean….perfect! Thank you to everyone who made our seven days PERFECT!
Gracias

We stayed here for 6 nights. This side of the Mexico does not have sunsets, but because we were high enough (floor 7) we were able to see the sunset on the other side of our hotel (when we got out from our room) and the sunrise from our balcony.

It wasn’t too busy when we got there so they were able to give us a room upgrade. Which was amazing. We travelled 3rd week of feb.

I can’t give a proper review of the food because we couldn’t eat the meat (due to religious obligations), but I can definitely say there are great options at each of the 5 restaurants on the resort for all diets. I would definitely recommend to reserve those restaurants before hand. And there is a bit of a wait at breakfast buffet every morning, but not too long.

Beach side and pool side service was perfect. Never ending drinks and meals (if you go with all inclusive)

Little bit of seaweed at the beach, but they did come and clean it once. It’s not the gross seaweed, it felt and looked more like wet grass.

Going to isle mujeres (island right across from resort) for one day was also worth it. Color of the water was insane, try to go a little early if you have little ones, it becomes a party scene because of all the free tequila!

There is a 5 diamond resort right next door to villa Del pelmar called garza Blanca I think. They have a free carousel that kids can ride as many times as they like. Garza also looked beautiful btw.

Side note: i was uncomfortable at one piont when I waiter asked for tip. Just happened once at breakfast buffet. But I get it, at an all inclusive kind of expected to give tip…

Also the concierge will tell you if you go on a tour of the garza Blanca resort you will get discounts for excursions, and a breakfast at garza and she’ll say it’s only 90 mins. But they ended up taking 3 hours of our time AND tried to sell us “time shares” which they referred to as the residence club. If you want the discount.. you’ll have to get to the last part of the tour.. which is the selling part and just give a hard no and get out. Because if you don’t they will just keep dragging it out until you fold.

Other than those setbacks. All the workers were really nice and friendly. My kids loved it. So I gave 5 stars.

Perfect place to stay everything’s nice.. thank you

We had a week at Villa del Palmar with a huge group of 16 total, 6 kids and 10 adults. The experience was wonderful overall, the rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. The food at each of the restaurants was delish although the service at some was maybe a tad bit slow. The beach was cleaned almost daily from the seaweed and you really do not touch any unless you go deep into the water. We went to Isla Mujeres for a day and that was very fun riding gold carts around and getting lunch! The rule of placing your towel on a chair to reserve it was kind of silly as some guests do so at 6 am and then you can see that no one sits in those chairs all day long. Other than those few minor things that I have mentioned- the trip was incredible and we would stay here again.

One of our favourite resorts in Mexico, the location is incredible - across from Isla Mujeres. Last time we visited was in 2017, and we weren't sure what to expect in 2023 after the pandemic. We were not disappointed - the resort and grounds were well maintained, rooms had been renovated and new restaurants added. Best part, the high caliber of service remained the same especially with Edgar, front desk manager, and his team including Gabriela. Edgar was kind, informative and attentive from check-in to check-out. He truly went above and beyond and made our visit to Villa del Palmar unforgettable! We will be back, thanks again to Edgar and team.

Be very careful, I chose an all-inclusive plan and it turns out that they charge you for many of the amenities and special dishes during your stay….

In the drinks it is not clear, those that are included and those that are not included.

On the other hand, you have to ask for the bill all the time and you must sign acceptance.

Summary: it is an all inclusive that does not include everything 🤦🏾‍♂️

I had one of the worst experience at Villa del Parmar.
First of all, their check-in process is not smooth, the front desk doesn't inform of any thing about the resort, like what restaurants, what all amenities does the property have.
We had one dinner at their restaurant 'Legend'. The food quality is poor, the staff doesn't really look after the guests (each time I had to get up and call the server), and the worst part is the restaurant had flies flying around most of the tables, basically it was pretty unhygienic and poorly maintained.
On the pool side, again you always have to go up to the server and order, whereas guests of different skin color clearly got the best service.
During checkout, they don't accommodate even a one hour late check-out while it was clearly visible that the resort didn't have a lot of guests, but they still want to charge 100 USD per hour of stay.
Although they claim to be a 5-star property and has apparently received 4 diamond rating, but honestly their quality and service is comparable to a 2-star property.
I would definitely not book and would not recommend anyone to plan their vacation/stay in this resort.

LOVE THIS RESORT!! The entire place was great. The staff were always eager to help and very polite. We had the 1 bedroom ocean view room. Jetted tub, beautiful decor, and great layout. We are at all the restaurants and never had a bad meal. The choices and the quality of the food was amazing, and that's coming from a picky eater. Well worth the trip and every penny. We could go on and on. We are already planning our next trip back.

Our favourite resort in MX. Might never go anywhere else. Strongly recommend.

We just got back from
Staying at Villa Del Palmar Cancun. We had been going there for 10 years. We love it there. Benjamin and Antonio at the pool took really good care of us and they helped my husband w my birthday celebration !
Benito our waiter was amazing, he is very attentive and kind !
Our favorite part going there is partying w Loui and septeto Son Clave they really put on a great show and play all kind of music and instruments, they are all amazing !

On a side note this resort doesn’t have many activities like it used to anymore . They need to step it on this aspect. This is a must and it has been overlooked. Management hope you read this ! You have a beautiful resort but it needs more fun / activities not just at Garza Blanca but also at Villa del Palmar Cancun !

Food is disappointing. Showers are so hard it's painful. The location is a little too far from downtown. Everyone who works here has been amazing!! It is a really beautiful resort and would be great for families. They do have a deli and store on site, which is nice.

We recently stayed at this resort for our baby moon, and it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff provided exceptional service, ensuring our every need was met with a smile. The food was outstanding, with a variety of delicious options that catered to every palate. We indulged in the spa services, and it was a truly rejuvenating experience. Overall, our stay was nothing short of perfect, and we can't wait to return in the future!

The Villa group continues to amaze it's timeshare owners and the general public with all their resort destinations in Mexico. This location may be the crown jewel of them all. They smartly built this resort out of the "Hotel Zone" so you don't have to deal with all that chaos and noise. And as a added bonus the island of Isla Mujeres is a short 25-30 minute transport ferry ride with the ferry dock/launch a short walk from the resort. We visited the Isla 3 times during our stay on days we did not have the all inclusive package. The Isla Mujueres sits on the Caribbean side and you immediately notice the change in the color of the Sea, so blue! Rent a golf cart to cruise around the whole island, it is not very big! Plenty of places to sample the fine cuisines of the Island and partake in your favorite beverages! Shop for souvenirs in the colorful vibrant downtown then hop on the ferry to return to your resort. We also took advantage of many tours offered by the resort with the highlight being a snorkeling trip to Cozumel which was amazing! The boat guides were fantastic and knew all the hotspots to maximize your adventure, the sealife was amazing! The resort is also a fully loaded experience, you really don't need to leave it if you don't partake in the excursions. It has an onsite mini-mart, usually called the Palmita where you can stock up on snacks. Alcohol, soft drinks, water, etc. There is a grill for a freshly made breakfast burrito, espresso, lunch offerings to. The staff at the resort is top notch and very accommodating. We liked this location/resort so much we rebooked it 3 years in a row. The onsite restaurants are great especially the Sushi restaurant. They pride themselves on their cullinary teams so the food is top notch, not a fast food type atmosphere. Fresh ingredients, great vegetables and seafood. There is something for all appetites!

Luxury, an unforgettable experience, congratulations.

David, Brisa, and Santiago the activities team made my trip so so special!! I will 100% be back to this resort just for them. They provided the most fun for a short trip with my friends and it was an unforgettable experience. The aqua zumba, dancing, and games were so just amazing and the energy of the activities team is superb. I 100% recommend this resort and I can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely an amazing place to stay! Particularly, the activities team: David, Brisa, and Santiago made our short stay so welcoming, enjoyable and fun filled. Would return just for the experience they provided us!

My hubby and I loved staying here to celebrate his birthday. The rooms were clean, food was good (just remember to do reservations at restaurants in advance so you can secure your bookings for those that require - we got booked at everything we wanted yay). We enjoyed the entertainment as well, and such a friendly helpful staff. Would definitely go back. And it was very convenient that a lot of our excursion transportation could pick us up as well as get shuttled to the airport efficiently (booked through Travelocity). Then, when we booked an excursion there through Mexico Travel Solutions, it was convenient to walk across the street to take public transportation.
