We spent 10 days at Viva Whyndham Dominicus Palais to enjoy the 2 complexes.
Given the many negative comments we were very apprehensive about staying there. Think again, fabulous holiday, beautiful beach under the coconut trees, basic food but we lacked nothing and the a la carte restaurants were great. Very kind and helpful staff. The rooms are certainly basic but clean, a little renovation would be nice but I think it is planned. Make up your own mind and don't rely solely on negative reviews.

The Palace hotel (which is supposed to be more expensive) is located next to the “Viva Beach”. Both are beautiful . Beautiful facilities and the a la carte restaurants are Divine!!!!!!

But I have several things to say
-The beach facilities are where there are really activities. At Palace NO. You don't eat better either (the palace buffet is SUPER far from the beach. It doesn't have a good view. We always ended up eating on the beach)
- The palace rooms are quite basic. Water was falling from the bathroom ceiling!!!!
- The palace beach is NOT RECOMMENDED. Full of stones. The best part is in front of the beach

Conclusion I do NOT consider it worth paying to go to the palace instead of viva beach

General hotel comments to add:
- the staff has bad vibes.
- Room cleaning consists of a sweep and having your bed made. NOTHING ELSE
- the wifi in some places does not work
- At the buffet you have to wait a long time for a waiter to greet you. The tables are dirty and take a while to clean while you wait standing for a place to sit. They start arranging the plates while you eat making a very annoying noise. She is not complaining!!!! The staff really don't seem to be comfortable working there.
- the food at the buffet is “good” (nothing too remarkable either at the beach or at the palace). In a la carte restaurants you DO eat well! And they are beautiful
-In the palace there is a waffle place, the girl who serves it has a lot of bad vibes. You ask for a waffle that has three ingredients and they only give you one. It never has the fruit that the waffles on the menu have...
- The concierge “RAY” asked us to please come and listen without obligation to the offer that Viva makes you for membership (they play with pity by asking you to please go because they take a commission for sending people) he assured us that he was going to be only 30 minutes. We finally spent an hour and a half listening to a salesperson. When he made us the offer we asked him for time to think about it. The seller got angry and mistreated us, saying under his breath that that's not why we should have gone, and he left without even saying a thank you. A RUDE.
-The DJ at the disco is very bad. Bring the DJ from the theater!! That one was good!!!

The animation gives it a good vibe and the place is beautiful. The attention is LAX!!!

Palace is very beautiful. The beach, on the other hand, has a lot of people. Food is ok too. But be careful of the staff with the green T-shirts. They want to offer you a sales pitch. What kind of sales pitch please watch video on YouTube. Peter Giesel rip-off in the Dominican Republic.

We went on a wonderful holiday in March, especially for the excursions we went on to Saona Super and Viva Safari... I highly recommend the latter. Very beautiful place, especially well-kept in the green, huge beach - wonderful sea like a postcard. resorts large swimming pools gyms and activities there is no shortage of bars restaurants inside, international cuisine fresh drinks and cocktails the beautiful and fun staff, super friendly staff. I would like to thank Jessica and Mauro Jonatan of Alpitur and the bar staff of Viva caffè wonderful guys. It was a special experience that will remain in my heart forever!

Thanks to my favorite travel agency: JUSTINE VOYAGES in Duvy for organizing this dream vacation for me.

Hi,the hotel is very good and i love everything about it but the desserts taste not to good(things like muffins taste better than giant cakes, simple things are better)so if you improve that it would put 5 stars. Also the treatment is not the best is acceptable. But its a nice hotel with a lot of activities to do and you will never feel bored

We are currently staying at the Viva Palace. We checked in two days ago and an expensive diving watch and Bose headphones were stolen out of my luggage before our room was ready. We were told our belongings would be safe. There is a camera in the Viva Membership room that could have identified who stole my items but the security and Nadine from management insist that they cannot do anything and that the police must be called. After talking with other guests the petty theft at this resort is out of control. The resort itself is pleasant. If you do come don't bring ANYTHING valuable and watch your luggage! Would hate for anyone else's vacation to have the same start!

Excellent hotel. Very clean and excellent food. We went as a family and I really value the comfort and tranquility.

Much to be desired as all inclusive, in the minibar they give you 1 soda per person for the entire stay and it is not replenished. The drink and drinks are of very poor quality and all plastic cups. Hot beer. And they serve you everything, even the coffee, standing in line. The employees have excellent attention. I do not recommend it. I'll stick with the palladium all-inclusives, another level.

Well what can I say about this experience, it ended in a great way except for the last 2 days due to food poisoning but I was taken to the Viva Dominicus clinic and subjected to some tests. The really shabby, not at all professional and very rude part I have to say is the customer service and support they DO NOT give to customers. I have been struggling for a week via call (permanently blocked number) and email (without response) to contact someone to send me some very important documents regarding my stay in the clinic, but the reaction is 0. I hope that if someone reads here, contact me as soon as possible.

Unforgettable holiday

Beautiful I want to come back 1000 times

Diarrhea and vomiting, nightmare holiday, hospitalized for 3 days without any concrete assistance. Too many people, sunbeds always occupied, crowding in the common areas, poor buffet food and apparently dangerous since in the hospital they told us that about 20 people a day came in with the same problems of vomiting and diarrhea. They gave us antiparasitic drugs since it seems normal to take them. We were afraid to use the recyclable plastic cups made available at the various stands and all the raw food such as fruit and salad. It doesn't seem to me that these fears should arise in a 4-star hotel that make the trip a nightmare.

We have only been in this hotel for a day. The facility is very beautiful and well maintained. We have a modernized room that satisfies us completely.
Now to the reason for this post. We had a very nice day at the beach and only Italian was spoken everywhere. According to your app, the show “Moulon Rouge” should be shown this evening, so get to the venue early. There we saw the rest of the children's disco (only in Italian), followed by 20 minutes of dialogue between the animator and the audience in Italian. From the costumes of the remaining entertainers (Disney look) we could conclude that there will be no Moulon Rouge today. At the reception I wanted to ask if it was like that every day. There was no German-speaking contact person (not there) and the English was also very “thin”. It was not possible to clarify whether all animation and shows are now only in Italian. There are a lot of Italians in this hotel.
I didn't want to make a public post either, but rather contact you directly on the homepage or your own app, unfortunately this function is missing.
A small note: Today entertainers came 3 times in our direction with a friendly smile, heard that we spoke German and immediately went on to Italian-speaking customers. In my opinion, all of this is quite a disgrace for an international hotel with this price. I'm curious to see if anything happens soon.

the attention is very bad. I asked to speak to a manager more than 2 times and he never helped me. They always sent me to speak to customer service who obviously did not have the capacity to solve anything... other than sending an email... the truth is that it is unacceptable for a hotel of that category that has such poor management

Terrible experience, we always go to the Iberostar chain and this time we decided to change and I honestly regret it, bad service, the food is pathetic and the rooms are even better, I send a photo so you can see what it is, it's a shame I can't send a video of how It was raining on the ceiling of the bathroom and showing the musty smell it had, in order to change at night I had to iron all the clothes because they were so damp, if there is something to save from that hotel it is the beach, just that. I paid for the Palace thinking it was better than the beach and it is a scam. You pay less and have more benefits, you can't believe it.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. To begin with, the attention is very bad, people who seem tired and stressed. At check out the man who served was in his socks, disastrous.
In the case of food, the restaurants are of very good quality but the buffets are a burden. There were times when you couldn't find chicken, beef, rice or potatoes. one loaded
Regarding the facilities, there is something to talk about. The outside of the hotel itself is beautiful but the rooms are disastrous. For the price, they are very old and dated rooms, even the housekeeping service was so bad that they didn't change your sheets. There was no coffee maker and they didn't refill the minibar. Also, the Wi-Fi service was terrible. To have some you needed to go out to the balcony that would grab you by praying, nowadays I consider it essential
The best thing about the hotel is its beaches and outside facilities but for the price I don't recommend it one bit. The beach is a much better option, cheaper and prettier. However, I would never visit this hotel chain anywhere again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

We're almost at the end of our trip.we have had a lovely time and we're well looked after by all staff.our room was lovely just on the beach.great selection of restaurants and bars, bars o.n the beach too!! All soft drinks you can help yourself and wine and beer too yo You just need the bars for cocktails freshly made.

The resort as such is great, but there are a few things that I would like to see changed. The approach of some of the staff is intimidating considering how luxurious the resort looks. You absolutely can't communicate with them, they don't know a word of English, and if you do, they are terribly unwilling to do anything, it seems more like they are poorly paid, burned out employees. Another problem is wifi. If you want to send something or arrange something on the Internet during your stay, then say goodbye to a hundred options right away. Wifi has a speed of about 1kb per hour, so it will barely start your whatsapp, if you are the lucky one and manage to connect after 5 minutes of trying, the wifi will still tell you after a while that there is no internet access and try again. The last problem is any peace when you need it. If you catch the day, it may happen that at 10 in the evening, when you want to sleep a little bit next to you in the main building, a lady will be yelling into the microphone at the disco for the little ones, not to mention how terribly the cleaners are yelling at each other in the corridors and they are not there just a little while before they clean up, they stay there all day. Apart from these things, the hotel is a beautiful place, I just didn't think it was important to write it here because the other reviewers also captured it beautifully

A wonderful vacation in paradise
