Is booking online safe?
Yes, All online bookings on Escapes.ca are done over a secure server. This means that your credit card information is scrambled before even getting submitted over the internet. Secure servers make it virtually impossible for unauthorized 3rd parties to access your personal information.

Do I have to book online?
No, if you feel more comfortable booking over the phone or in person, then by all means feel free to contact us and one of our vacation specialists will be glad to assist you.

Am I getting the best price?
Yes, we guarantee the best price. We've checked the competition and found that Escapes.ca's prices are amongst the lowest around. However, if you find a lower price we will gladly match or beat that price. Please see our terms or use for the complete rules on our "Best Price Guarantee".

Is it safe to book with Escapes.ca?
Escapes.ca (Skyland Travel Inc.) is a British Columbia registered travel agency operating under the registration number 2143-1. Skyland Travel Inc. has been in business for over 20 years, providing honest and reliable service to all our valued customers. Whether booking online or over the phone we will do our very best to make sure your travel plans run as smoothly as possible.

What happens if the tour operator/airlines goes bankrupt?
Registered travel agencies contribute to the Travel Assurance Fund. The fund is used to compensate consumers who do not receive any travel services purchased from a registered travel agency, travel wholesaler or travel supplier. The fund covers losses related to leisure travel but does not apply to business travel. Note: By booking directly with an airline you may not be covered should they go bankrupt.

How do I get my tickets?
This all depends on what type of flight, package or cruise you book. Generally with vacation packages you may choose to pick-up your tickets at the airport on the day of departure or have them mailed to you via Xpresspost. If you choose to have your tickets mailed, there is nominal delivery charge of $10-15. For airfare only, ticket options are the same as vacation packages, however, certain flight are now ticketless in which case you will just receive a confirmation number either verbally or via email. Cruise tickets are generally mailed out via Xpresspost.

At Escapes.ca we do our best to deliver tickets the way our clients want them. Please feel free to discuss your ticket delivery options with one of our vacation specialists. Customers who live in the Vancouver, BC area are also welcome to come by our office to pick-up their tickets.

Can I cancel my booking?
All bookings, once purchased by the customer, are subject to strict cancelation penalties depending on the tour operator and the number of days until departure. These penalties vary by tour operator and in many cases the packages can be 100% non-refundable. It is recommended that you carefully plan your travel dates and make sure that you have proper documentation before booking your travel arrangements. We also highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. (see next question)

Can I purchase travel insurance?
Yes. We highly recommend travel insurance and will gladly assist you in deciding which insurance plan is right for you. Travel insurance can protect you and your travel dollars against unforeseen medical emergencies and travel mishaps.
