Heavenly Holiday

Wow. If you are lucky enough to be able to come here, do yourself a favour and do it.We saw lots of photos before we came and not one did it justice. The grounds are beautiful and the reception/ bar area is relaxed and cool. With a view across the resort and out to see, it is an idyllic welcome to your stay. The room was big and spacious with a balcony onto the beach which was no more than 5 metres away.My favourite part of the room was the awesome coffee machine but my wife was more impressed with the spacious bathroom and huge bath. The beach is absolutely beautiful and there are at least 3 pools dotted around. One was for adults only but we only saw a single child all week anyway. Staff were so helpful and lovely but just don't be in a rush, this is the Caribbean !The main restaurant is mainly a buffet but does a la cart too, but the buffet changed every day and was delicious. Our favourite was the BBQ which was lovely. Our favourite place to eat was by the Spa on the (deck I think) It was pricey but absolutely worth it. The lobster tail was the best I've had and it was a lovely venue right on the sea.I used the gym which was far better than I had anticipated - a cardio room with machines and a separate room with free weights, squat rack and lots of machines. It was too hot for tennis but the court looked good.We loved this place and would absolutely love to come back. We would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great Stay In Antigua

We stopped for lunch off a cruise ships in December and were so impressed ... we decided to come back for a short getaway. The hotel blew us away. Great service. The food at the Cove Restaurant was amazing. This is the best secret in the Caribbean. Don't tell anyone because they'll get super busy!!!The room was lovely. Nothing crazy but traditional Carib classic. When you're on property... you truly feel that there is no need to go anywhere else. The hotel is filled with britts from the UK and I must admit that it's great to hear so many talking with their accent and truly providing their pleasant attitude. I cannot say anything wrong. They over achieved and the staff was great. We will be back. Stay here. You will have a great experience.

Wow!

Have been to stay at Blue Waters for at least 6 times. They have always maintained a fantastic standard, but this year they seemed to excel themselves I think it maybe that the staff seemed to be even more friendly than normal. Management also obviously keep ploughing money back into the business, as every year we see improvements and general maintenance being completed to a very high standard. Well done Blue Waters.

Totally first class

We recently stayed a Blue Waters for a week all inclusive. The experience was fantastic from arrival to departure. The big pluses are the staff and location, it is a paradise location. Our room was spacious and well located for the main areas of the resort. There is plenty of space whether around the pools or on the beach and no hassle from anyone as it really a private location. Al a Carte food in the three restaurants was all excellent and a good variety. The buffets that are provided at lunchtime and in one restaurant in the evening offer good variety but its mass catering and as a result quality not as good. However Al a Carte available at all times so not a problem.Nothing to much trouble for the staff who were very friendly and made the experience. There is some entertainment on some evenings but if you are looking for lively night life this probably isn't for you. Quite couples location with a few weddings thrown in but not obtrusive.

Paradise

Just returned after a week at Blue Waters and my husband and I absolutely loved it! Our first stay at BW and our first visit to lovely Antigua... won't be our last. We stayed in the Cove Suites and were very happy we upgraded from a beachfront deluxe, although I'm sure those rooms were wonderful. The Suites are huge and the view from our balcony breathtaking. Large bathroom, comfy bed and good mattress.... our only complaints were that there was not enough counter space in the bathroom to put toiletries and we were awakened every day EARLY by the loud clomping footsteps of the family staying above us in the penthouse. Each villa of suites has a private pool but since it wasn't too crowded, we generally stayed on the beach or at one of the main pools. The suites are a short walk from everything and come with concierge service. These women did a phenomenal job spoiling us all week! Special hugs to both Karens and Nicole! We enjoyed the 3 restaurants and all the bars. We did AI and would never do otherwise there. Most of the people at BW were of middle age, but there were a few younger people and some families with small children. One suggestion I have would be to make the Cove Restaurant only open to children over the age of 12 as it is too nice and too expensive to be marred by screaming children and there were screaming children every night we dined there. We did not go early either...went after 8:00 pm each night. After dinner, there is really no night life which was fine by us but some may not be happy so be forewarned.Be sure and treat yourselves to a boat tour by the captain, Owen. He is a treasure, as is sweet Carolyn who runs the pool bar and restaurant on the beach. As others have said, almost everyone there calls you by name from the moment you arrive and I was just amazed by that. It is a fabulous resort, not too big but big enough to offer plenty of amenities with class.
