Under the watchful eye of Alastair the GM Blue Waters is a charming family owned hotel set in the most beautiful environment! The hotel is a fifteen minute drive from the airport which is great but not close enough that you would hear or even see a plane! The grounds and the hotel's three beaches are beautiful and the hotel has a really nice feel about it. Having travelled fairly extensively throughout the West Indies I have often found the service to be fairly average. In the four nights that we stayed here I can honestly say that each and every single member of staff we encountered has been truly charming and genuinely warm and keen to make your stay as memorable as it can be! This creates a truly unique experience and one that corporate hotels could not create. The Cove Suite that we had was wonderful with the most incredible view over the beach and beyond! I would always recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Antigua!
Blue Waters is one of my favourite hotels. Beautiful gardens extremely well maintained. Spacious beach and 3 pools. You never feel claustrophobic or have to worry about getting a subbed. The Cove and Barlet's has excellent food whilst the Palm is only average. Hence we are out every night apart from two. Alistair the general manager is probably the best I've ever encountered and can't do enough for his guests. We look forward to our fourth visit in the not too distant future.
We stayed at this lovely friendly hotel for 10 nights at the end of November. We had a luxury beachfront room in block 100 which was chosen especially as we love sea views and privacy. The room came up to our expectations and we were looked after by the lovely Beverlyn. The hotel is superb and the staff amazing. How they remember every guests name is incredible. The food was excellent and lovely cocktails. We made some great friends. There has been a review about the Palm restaurant being unhygienic, take no notice, there are 3 little cats who never beg for food, but are a delight to watch and I'm sure they pay their way by eating rodents, insects and lizards. As for the little birds, they are just downright cheeky. Nearly everyone we spoke to had stayed here at least twice before and those, like us that had never been to Blue Waters all said they were definately coming back.We loved the bands in the evening and just the general ambiance of this beautiful hotel.PS: can't be bad as Prince Harry was staying there two days before we arrived!!!
We stayed at the Blue Waters from 5th to 15th January 2017, on the recommendation of our travel agent. The hotel is situated on the coast with access to several swimming pools and two small beaches. The hotel is maintained to a high standard including the gardens. We booked a Cove Suite in Villa 2 on a breakfast basis, as we like to try as many local restaurants as possible. The room comprised a large bathroom, walk in wardrobe, and large bedroom complete with a large living area. The room led onto a private patio, with direct access to the "villa" pool and sun loungers. It was well equipped, and cleaned daily to a high standard.Breakfast was in the Palm Restaurant and offered ample choice. On the two evenings we dined at the Palm and the Cove restaurants, they were fine, but our preference is always to have dinner at independent restaurants. The hotel staff were excellent in recommending and arranging dinner bookings on our behalf at various restaurants on the island. All recommendations we have reviewed. The hotel has a number of taxis based on site so whenever we needed one there was never a wait. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hospitality team, comprising Nicole, Karen and Kelisha, were always on hand to organise anything you required. It was also good to see the General Manager, Alistair, walking the complex talking to guests on a regular basis.Excellent holiday in a great hotel.Would recommend.
We stayed at the Blue Waters from 1st-15th December on the All Inclusive option and were part of a group of 19 that were there for a Wedding. We had a HIllside room number 906 which was on the upper floor. There are two Superior HIllside blocks, the 900 block is behind Pelican House and the 800 block is behind Turtle Cottage. The rooms on the ground floor have garden views and all the rooms on the 1st floor have views of the sea over the roof tops. Our room was spacious with a king size bed, plenty of draw and hanging space, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, safe, TV, slippers & bathrobes, iron & ironing board, air con. and WiFi.The ensuite had a large walk in shower, his & her sinks, loo, hairdryer, an abundance of lovely soft towels and wonderful Elemis products (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and body lotion) which were replenished as we used them. The balcony was huge and very private and furnished with table, parasol, chairs and a lounger. We found the food at the hotel to be absolutely superb. Our favourite restaurant was The Cove and then The Palm.Blue Waters is a wonderful location for a Wedding, a special mention to Mandie who ensured that the day was just perfect and also to Santana for providing an exquisite Wedding Breakfast.Blue Waters is a beautiful hotel with lovely well tended gardens, 3 inviting swimming pools, 3 spotlessly clean beaches, friendly sociable staff and superb food. This was a very special holiday for us because of the Wedding but it was made even more special because of this hotel.
