What was missing!!

Beautiful location lovely staff genuine very helpful and respectful. Would I come back ? To answer this I pause and wonder why I cannot say yes automatically. An opportunity to do so much but to expensive to enjoy so many facilities go wasted. I.e. 9 tennis courts beautiful left empty. The gym and health treatments left empty. It was 41 dollars for a hamburger. The calibre of food was okay. Lunch amounted to 200 dollars. It was cheaper to go out by taxi, eat out, and return by taxi. There were so many opportunities lost ? The hotel had provision for 250 people. There was only four people total there. We had a brief meeting with the general manager and his wife over limited drinks and canap├ęs.Very nice but lasted only 15 minutes !!The bugs / sand flies not to mention a lagoon to the rear of the hotel contains many insects and all biting. The shoreline contained many branches trees and glass along the shore line so beware. It's a shame as we loved the hotel and the local people.Recommendation The General Manager should be replaced as I don t think he has the ability to want to change or listen to the customer.

Amazing family holiday!

My family stayed here in February. We had the Carlisle suite on the beach and it was stunning. From the moment we arrived at the hotel everything was perfect and staff were lovely, it was our first long haul holiday with our children 3 years & 1 year. They loved the hotel and staff were so helpful it made it easy for us. My only issues were that there was no cot in our room on arrival for my daughter and as it was 8pm and she was already asleep in my arms this was a bit annoying. We had specified this through elegant resorts, maybe the message didn't get passed on.We also chose to do the private beach dinner one night which was disappointing as service was very slow and food was not actually what we had ordered! However the manager dealt with our issues and was very apologetic. Overall we would absolutely return again, location and staff are what make his hotel amazing.

The lure of Carlisle Bay

I admit it - I'm fussy and hence it is rare for me to return to a hotel but the wife insisted that we return to Carlisle Bay and everything was just as good as last year and a few things even better. This is five star all round and the staff are quite wonderful. I can quite see why so many people just keep returning. The exchange rate makes things a bit painful but all-in-all, I think it is worth the premium price

Caribbean dream

We stayed in February for two weeks in the hotel after spending one week in Barbados. The first impression on the island and with the hotel, the ride from the airport was difficult but from the moment on entering the hotel we enjoyed all the days of our stay. First we have to highlight the comfort and elegance of our ocean view room.20 steps and we were on the beach equipped with everything you would need and with an excellent complimentary service (cold water, fruits, ice, etc.) Although the four restaurants offer good and varied meals usually we were going out for dinners, we preferred the hotel restaurants for lunch. We only missed the afternoon and the night bar intimate. We had our dinners with visiting the most attractive parts of the island like the English Harbour, the Jolly harbour, the places along the coast. In selecting our destination, booking the restaurant, ordering the transfers the staff was always very helpful and courteous. All in all, we had one of our best ever vacation in the Carlisle Bay hotel.
