Stayed in July and had a lovely time. Rooms were great, Kevin the manager was fantastic. Food was good - if pricey. Excellent gym. High levels of service overall. We really enjoyed it and will be back.
I spent my 30th birthday weekend at Carlisle Bay, Antigua and couldn't ask for a more perfect getaway! We were a group of 7 and as soon as we arrived, we were treated like royalty. We were offered a refreshing welcome drink (fresh pineapple juice with a hint of mint!) and some cooling towels. The resort was beautiful and we all felt extremely welcomed and well pampered throughout our entire stay. Our rooms were absolutely beautiful and calming. I fell asleep on our verandah a few times hehe; every room also has a small cd collection (we had classical and Norah Jones) and an array of books and English classics. I fully enjoyed a bubble bath and the snacks and yummy dried fruit in our room. We had our lunches and breakfast at Indigo restaurant- I definitely recommend the Caribbean breakfast and for lunch the prawn cakes, catch of the day and seared tuna salad. For dinner, we ate at the East restaurant- definitely order some sushi and the spring rolls! The food is truly amazing and so fresh. Michael Eutrope also ensured my birthday dinner was nothing short of perfect! He made me feel extremely special and ensured our group was well looked after. Also definitely check out their spa- their service is impeccable and one of the best massages I have ever had, no joke. Michelle was my masseuse and noticed tension in my back and helped relieve all the knots. We also thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on their beautiful beach where again the service never ends- waiters came offering us afternoon tea, fresh juices and yummy oeur d'oeuvres. Beach activities are wonderful, we kayaked, paddle boarded and used the hobicat. They also have lounge floats to relax in the calm water at your disposal. We also spotted a few sea turtles! Was truly amazing! I cannot recommend this resort enough and want to sincerely thank Michael and his entire team for such an amazing birthday!
Such a friendly, beautiful and peaceful paradise! We came as a family 6 years ago and have come back definitely not disappointed. The beach is wonderful with powdery sands and warm water with the odd ripple so easy and delicious to swim in. Massage in the spa was a heavenly experience with Eve. There is tennis, hobie cat sailing, donut rides and boat trips. The food and service is excellent. Five stars!
This was the second hotel we visited during our trip to Antigua, when we arrived we were greeted by Antiguan "Ant & Dec" who's opening line was "welcome to your new favourite hotel in Antigua". Their obvious enthusiasm for the place was infectious and they made a great first impression. We had a Sea View Room this was great, freshly decorated with everything you could need from a beachfront room, when I say beachfront we were literally 5 steps from the beach, during our stay I visited the gym, really well equipped and Air Conditioned and the Spa where I had one of the best massages iv'e ever had. We also took a couple of their complementary bikes out for a trip to Jolly Harbour. Breakfast each day offered a smallish Cereal and Pastry Choice plus some great hot menu options, I can particularly recommend the Caribbean Breakfast (when in Rome etc....). Facilities on the beach were superb, a huge choice of sun loungers, umbrellas and hammocks together with complementary water bottles in iced coolers as and when needed, full waiter service available at the beach, had lunch once whilst there again excellent choice, quality and service, all the staff were superb but I would particularly praise Ant and Dec (the greeters and Uranie who can not only take the tops off bottles of Red Stripe with nothing more than a spoon but went to the effort of getting her Aunt to make an authentic Roti and bring it in for us the next day. Often when you read reviews people feel they have to put a negative in to add some balance but I really cant, this is a superb hotel in every way
We visited Carlisle Bay for a week with our teenagers in early July. From start to finish of our special holiday was excellent. The hotel is set on the most beautiful, calm and peaceful bay and everyday was gorgeous. Most morning on my sea swim I saw starfish and turtles and the beach is immaculate with comfy sunbeds and cool boxes for water. Every meal was superb with staff and management doing everything possible to make sure we were looked after and nothing was every too much trouble. The gym and spa was first class too. We shall definitely return to CB soon!
