Aruba Ray's comedy club

Went for the first time in a long time to the "Aruba Ray's Comedy Club" at the Marriott in Aruba. Can't say enough good things about the whole 2 hour experience. Tony V, if you haven't heard of him, is the best of the best of the best comedians who plays at this club regularly. If you like night club type stand up comedy, that's pretty clean and utterly funny, go see Tony V when you're in Aruba. You won't regret it. P.S. the other three comedians this particular night were pretty damned good too, in particular Ray the host and Peter Lee, the guy from Wisconsin of all places. Tony V, from Charlestown, Somerville Massachusetts is a must see wherever you find him. He's going to appear in his fifth or sixth big Hollywood budget movie which releases soon, the name of which I can't remember because I'm old.

Beautiful hotel

I enjoyed this hotel. They have beautiful rooms with great big balconies. Wonderful tropical pools. An adult pool. Beautiful big beach. Did not like there pillows they go flat even with three. Casino was okay, wish they had some older slots that are popular. Table games do not open until late in day. Nice evening music in lobby, Ruth Chris restaurant right in hotel was excellent. Star Bucks in hotel but if you don’t like it go next door to oceans club they have really good coffee pastries and breakfast sandwiches which are reasonable priced for a hotel. We went there everyday, the people running it are very efficient and nice. We ate the breakfast buffet at the hotel, it was very good but pricey so be hungry. My only complaint is the how they do the palapas, they have free ones that you have to get up before seven to try to get, and the free ones are not worth it. Even the paid ones are hard to get and not worth it at 30.00 a day. Let me explain , they all sit way back from ocean. And since it’s a public beach they let people park at their hotel and use their chairs that they put in front of the palapas so they block your view. We love to people watch so I did not like paying 30.00 dollars and then lots of people staying at hotel and not staying there move in front of you and block everything. So here’s a trick we learned if you want front row, go to beach and to your right you’ll see a beach activity spot. Rent a umbrella from them for 40.00 a day. You will be front row and if you ask they give you a cushion for your chair. Marriott chairs do not have cushions. Very comfy by other guys and front row. And no waiting in lines and having to get up at crack of dawn. Well worth it. Marriott needs to control the public using there chairs not fair to people paying 800.00 a night. Also, do not go on a Aruba holiday, the public used the pools and the chairs at the beach. This needs to be controlled. I will not be coming back because of this. I’ve never seen a high end hotel allow this. Plus, anyone telling you the wind is not a factor is lying , we’ve been twice and the wind was horrible both times. To expensive for allowing public to use facilities and the wind factor.

I have been in the restaurant biz for 40 years. I just had the greatest hospitality experience in my life. FRANCIS aka The POPE, made our experience feel like we were visiting a friends house for breakfast Service was great, his sense of humor and warmth were off the charts Hands down the best waiter ever

Another trip to Paradise

The Marriott Stellaris never disappoints. Another 6 night stay, Room 511, Premium Ocean view. Had a complaint about excessive noise emanating from roof of Fitness building but it was resolved within 15 minutes of an in-house chat on the Marriott app. Actually saw maintenance dept. go onto roof and make some adjustments. Many thanks to Rosalinda whom we never got to meet in person. Was even willing to switch our room if we wanted. Everyone friendly and hotel in immaculate condition. Looking forward to our return.
