Bucuti Beach Resort
- What's Included
Let me start of by saying that my husband and I like quiet. We aren't looking for a resort with loud bars and blaring music, we want quiet tranquility and Bucuti delivers. Bucuti & Tara is located in Eagle Beach, which is a cab ride away from the high rise area (Hilton, Marriott) and night life. It's also a cab ride away from downtown (it's only 9 dollars each way). The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. Frank the concierge is a hoot and Jazmine at Elements is a doll. The nice thing about Bucuti is that they leave you alone. The beach staff don't come by unless you raise your flag for service, so there is never a "hard sell". The daily complimentary breakfast is quite good, and the made-to-order waffles are worth the wait. Bucuti is located adjacent to a nice strip mall of sorts that has Fusion, Twist of Flavors (excellent food), Baskin Robin, etc. There is also a casino if that is your thing.I love Bucuti & Tara and would return again. Maddie helped us arrange a nice snorkel tour on the Tranquillo, a private boat, and it was worth the cost - highly recommend. My only reason for a 4 star is the hotel is very basic. The room was nice, but nothing spectacular. When arriving and walking down the hallway corridor we both cringed as it was dark and old, but our room was on the ground floor with an ocean view and we used the balcony door for all our needs. The Tara wing is closed and is undergoing renovations, so perhaps once that is finished they will upgrade the Bucuti wing next. I look forward to a return trip to Bucuti & Tara in the future.
The reviews only begin to hint at what awaits you at Bucuti. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was everything we could have hoped for. From Frank the doorman, to Mary Ann in reception, to Manuel at the beach; everyone is wonderfully attentive and an absolute pleasure to talk to. Rick, the Resort Manager, made it a point to talk to most everyone during breakfast. We stayed in a Junior Suite in the Bucuti wing and were enthralled in our room; wonderfully furnished and absolutely no quibbles. Elements was an outstanding restaurant and the morning breakfast spread was plentiful. The beach is beautiful. If you want an adult-oriented peaceful stay, we couldn't recommend Bucuti highly enough. The staff should be proud of what they've built up here; this is truly paradise.
I stayed here last year for a week and its an amazing hotel. Staff are just the friendliest I have come across. Aruba is an expensive destination but this hotel is very near a small shopping centre with a few restaurants around if you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to eat out. The hotel restaurant was amazing though and did treat ourselves a couple of nights. They don't offer an all-inclusive option but not many hotels in Aruba do.Took a couple of day tours out and also visited the high rise area and am so glad I didn't stay there. The beach at Bucuti has to be one of the nicest on the islands so this is definitely the place to stay.If I was going back I would upgrade to a suite though as they seemed to have much nicer sunbeds reserved for them, the standard room was ok nothing special but was best we could afford at the time!
I don't even know where to start in reviewing this resort! We went for our honeymoon in June for 8 days. From the minute we walked on to the property we were given the royal treatment. We had our receptionist greet us at the door and give us complimentary champagne as a welcome drink. When we checked in we were given all the information we needed for our stay. Our room wasn't available quite yet so we walked across the parking lot to Pizza Bob's and had a beer and pizza which was great. The resort is quiet and on the low rise side which was the best opportunity to relax without any hustle and bustle. Once we checked in, our bags were already waiting as well as a welcome message on the TV. There was also a gift from the resort of a bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge along with bucuti and Tara champagne flutes that we got to take home with us as a souvenir! We also had some treats waiting for us. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom has a tv in the mirror which plays music that we put on every time we got ready for the night. The Tara suites were under construction but we didn't hear much of that and there was very minimal people in the resort which was nice. You can use your tv in the room to view information about the resort in case you forgot or your room tab. It was very useful to have that at your fingertips. The room is equipped with a pretty decent size fridge and a microwave which came in handy when we took home leftovers! The beach and pool area is absolutely beautiful. I think it's the best beach in Aruba. It felt like we were the only ones there. The beach chairs are so comfortable and they give you a towel to put over the chair and another to dry yourself off with. The umbrellas they have are excellent also! Top notch on the furniture. The waiters on the beach and pool area are super attentive and quick to serve with a smile. We booked a 2 hour couples massage on the beach. The spa is also under renovation so they do the services on the beach under a cabana and it was fantastic. I had no problem being on the beach, hearing the waves in just pure relaxation. Our massage therapists were excellent! Two hours of pure bliss. We finished with a champagne toast and it was the icing on the cake. Definitely book a service at the spa! The restaurant we had breakfast every morning was fantastic. Great little Buffet where some items changed daily which was a nice touch. It was great to get up go to breakfast and leave whenever we were done. Everyone at the restaurant is so helpful, kind and inviting. We had lunch a few times there too which was equally delicious with great variety. The sandbar was a great spot to get out of the sun and have a drink. The bartenders are awesome! The smoothies are unbelievable! I would have those for lunch some days. They have movie night on the beach I think twice a week at 8pm. We took advantage on a Sunday night and it was one of our best nights! They set up the beach chairs with the towels so your comfortable. They have a waiter manning a popcorn maker and hands out free popcorn which was a nice little surprise. 9pm starts happy hour so we would just flag down the waiter and get some drinks while we watched the movie too. It was a relaxing night under the stars. Across the street is a marketplace and little plaza with some shops, restaurants and a casino. It was great if we wanted some snacks for the room or needed anything. We liked to walk around there and have drinks. We went to fusion piano bar one night and that was great. Live music and some wine and they had delicious tapas on the menu. Every single person we encountered at the Bucuti & Tara were not only extremely kind, but helpful and fun! Everyone there really just wants you to have a great vacation and we definitely did. On the plane ride home we were trying to figure out when to come back. We cannot wait to come back to the Bucuti & Tara . All of you are amazing and run an excellent establishment. Hoping to see you on our anniversary!! Thank you so much for giving us our honeymoon of our dreams.
We stayed for a week for our honeymoon, and I wouldn't change a thing. We were greeted by cool towels and champagne, and a welcome gift in our room for our honeymoon. Every single staff person is pleasant and attentive. The food at Elements is good; it wasn't the best during our private Palapa dinner, but the view and service made up for it. Eagle Beach is probably the most beautiful white sand beach I've ever seen. We paid a bit extra for a "deluxe" room with an ocean view, and it was worth every penny to wake up to paradise every morning. The adults-only policy gives the resort a private, quiet, romantic vibe. The modern design and luxurious amenities made our honeymoon feel as special as I had always imagined!
