This hotel is very well managed and from the moment you arrive you are treated with genuine personal attention and I must say it felt great! Your bags are taken from the cab from the most energetic & upbeat bell-man staff and they escort you right into the lobby where you are greeted by name by a standing staff offering you champagne or water. The property is clean and while not brand new - it is well maintained and you can see many folks cleaning and keeping the property in tip top shape. The beach is great with plenty of chairs with tables and oversized umbrellas and the food staff continuously comes around to serve you whatever you need, A nice touch is the staff brings you fresh cut fruit and ice cold white clothes during the afternoon, There are multiple restaurants on site and we primarily at breakfast outside overlooking the ocean and service and food quality was excellent. We asked for some things that were not on the menu and the staff was very quick to get us whatever we needed. Great pool with additional chairs, umbrellas and two person lounge chairs. They gym is great and was actually better then we expected. The spa was good but not over the top. The outdoor bar was good and staff was very attentive. One night we stayed late and asked if they wanted to go home and they said not until the last guest leaves. Really made us feel special every step of the way.
My husband and I just stayed at Bucuti for a 5 night vacation. Bucuti is a small, quiet, adults-only resort hotel. If you are looking for a little rest and relaxation without the typical resort noise and activities, this is the perfect place to be. The beach is spectacular! The rooms are top-notch. We opted for a junior suite with a balcony and beach view, and we weren't disappointed. Management definitely pays attention to detail, which, I think, makes Bucuti stand out from other resorts. Champagne and a personal guide to your room at check-in, complimentary cheese and champagne awaiting you in your room upon arrival, cute little signs hanging on your door which read anything from "welcome back" to "happy anniversary." One of the best things about this resort is that you were guaranteed a lounge chair and umbrella no matter what time you make it down to the beach. The beach chairs are the best I've seen at any resort. They have cushions, pillows, and you get a big fluffy towel cover at the towel cabana. The food at Elements was always really good and the buffet breakfast had a lot of variety. Order anything with seafood, you won't be disappointed! The staff, most notably housekeeping, were always friendly and quick to say "hi" and "good morning." Our room was kept immaculate and the turn down service was a nice touch.Although this place was exceptional, no place is perfect. The food and beverage service, both on the beach and at the restaurant, are slow. Maybe this can be attributed to "island time," but waiting over an hour for a sandwich and drink at the beach was a bit excessive. The rooms could have offered more toiletries including conditioner (there was shampoo/conditioner combo is shower but was really drying) and cotton balls/q-tips. Sunblock at the small gift shop was insanely priced at about $18 per bottle. Actually, all items in gift shop were really expensive, but you kind of expect that while on an island.Tips: if you get a chance, book a romantic dinner on the beach. The sunsets are AMAZING and it is a "remember when" moment.Check out the parrots by the bar. They are fun to see and have a cute story on the wall about how they came to Bucuti. If hungry and thirsty, order your food and drinks early while at the beach bc it may take awhile to get them. Maybe even order 2 drinks at a time and ask for a bucket of ice.The pizza place "Bob's" across the street was fun and reasonably priced. A large pizza fed us for dinner and we had leftovers for lunch the next day.Overall, Bucuti is a great little boutique resort. If you are looking for quiet and relaxation, this is the place to go. If you are looking for more of an active party atmosphere this definitely is not the place to go since there is no night life or entertainment at Bucuti. I would definitely recommend Bucuti to other couples.
Love this place - we will be back. Many here are return visitors, and I can see why. Very friendly staff - from the minute you arrive. Beautiful grounds and beach - what a huge swath of beach for only 100 rooms. Ensures plenty of space for relaxation. Great bar area with seating for meeting people, or for hanging out and enjoying the sunset. Beautiful outdoor restaurant space for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Enjoyed the al fresco breakfast as well as a dinner on site. No rocks in swimming area; just smooth sugary sand. If you want low key, great service, and friendly vibe ... this is your place.
We had read of the wonderful reviews before booking this hotel and it was everything they said it was, quiet, relaxing and with great staff. From arriving and being greeted by Rik and his colleagues with a welcome glass of champagne everything went so smoothly, The beach has been voted one of the best in the world and it is easy to why miles of white powdery sand and some many great loungers whatever time of day you went down could always get one. We were impressed with the menu at Elements restaurant for the section of vegetarian/vegan choices so much so ended up going on three consecutive nights. We did find the service there a little impersonal and a bit chaotic at time. On the third night the supervisor still did not recognise us when checking in and still asked us if we were staying at the hotel! On that evening we sat down at 715pm and were served our first course at 8pm, eventually we ordered desserts but were served coffee before the cheesecake, when I expressed surprise the waiter could not understand why. Needless to say we did not go back for dinner.
