Divi Aruba Beach Resort

My wife and i went here for our much meeded honeymoon and absolutely fell in love with the resort, the island, and the people. The staff made us feel like long time friends, they gave us great pointers on things to do around the island. Our room was amazing, clean, and comfortable. I can't wait to go back!
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort. We arrived on a Saturday and checked out the following Tuesday. Check-in was a breeze we were on the fourth floor room 743 with a view of the Caribbean Sea and the pools. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay, had a one bedroom suite which had two full bathrooms. Every person we encounter was friendly. The resort is located right on Palm Beach so when you walk downstairs you have access to the pools, resturants and the beach. We did not have to wait hours to reserve a spot on the beach plenty of chairs, hammocks and playpas for you to use. We went down around 10:00 in the morning and was able to find a spot in the shade. The beach is clean and the water is so clear. The pool is open 24 hours which is wonderful on our last night my husband and I went swimming at 11:00 just us in the pool enjoying each others company. The resort has a swim up bar and two resturants we ate breakfast twice at purebeach and it cost $40 with tax and service charge. Be careful of the service charge, the buffet breakfast was decent but not really worth $40. We did take taxis to venture out onto the island with cost $14 each way or $6 depending on where you were picked up. You can catch a taxi right in front of the hotel. Walking around the island we visited the Renissance hotel and the Marriott which both are large but if you want a large hotel with more crowds this resort is not for you. The Divi is smaller but has all the amenties needed to have a wonderful time. I appreciated the smaller hotel with less crowds and one that was easy to navigate. They do offer a timeshare presentation which we did not do did not want to waste time. I booked my trip on Expedia and got a great deal. We ate our other meals around the island the best resturants were Driftwood and the Padlock very good meals. In total we spend around $450 on food and drinks for the four days which isn't bad for two people compared to the all inclusive plans which can become pricey. I will certainly be booking this hotel again in the near future and staying for much longer than four days.
Room was great.. staff was great.... food was great... island was great... weather was great.... After coming here for 27 straight years we still love this place. You will not be disappointed!!!We tried to find something to criticize but we can not.
I am beyond pleased with our stay at the Divi Phoenix. We used our Disney Vacation Club points to book here and I wasn't sure what to expect. Our room is great (one bedroom suite). When we arrived we asked for a room on a high floor (we reserved the Beach Villas). Wayne switched our room and got us on the 6th floor. Every night we have a beautiful view of the sunset. We have constant access to WIFI. Our towels are replaced daily (not something we get at DVC) and all of the staff is kind and helpful. Today (halfway into our vacation) I discovered my wallet missing! I was in a panic trying to retrace my steps. After ripping apart our suite and car I tried the front desk. To my astonishment, they had it! A guest turned it in (thank you Tara) and Divi was keeping it safe in lost and found for me. Nothing was missing or out of place and I am beyond grateful and relieved to be able to enjoy the rest of my stay. I have zero complaints about Divi Phoenix. This has been a wonderful experience.
Just got back from spending 1 week at the Divi Phoenix and it was great - again! We were in the 800 building on the 2nd floor so we had the larger balcony that easily sits 4. We usually like the 600 building on the upper floors for the view, but this time the 2nd floor unit was just right for us. It was the last room (824) so it was quiet and private and the palm trees out front gave us nice privacy. This was our third time visiting Aruba and staying at the Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort and it was just as good this time as the first. Want to especially mention Bethelie Peter in the Pure Deli - what a joy to see her in the morning for breakfast or in the evening for ice cream. She is always smiling and joyful - thank you and please keep smiling as you make everyone's day better when we see you! We took our snorkel and mask this time and were able to snorkel right off the beach in front of the resort along the rock jetty. It was nice and we enjoyed it. As always, the weather was great and the water was that perfect Caribbean blue. Also, the people of Aruba are always so nice and helpful and it's safe to walk around even at night. Love Aruba!!
