Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
We recently traveled to Aruba and stayed at the Divi Golf Village. We had to take the all inclusive package as we used our timeshare as an exchange. We were able to go to all six properties and have dinner or drinks with no issues. The beach was located across the road a five minute walk. The beach was very nice and the waves were small and relaxing. The staff were very friendly. We rented a car at the airport and even though there are not many road signs it was easy to get around the island. We had a one bedroom apartment on the third floor that was very comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay. Our studio was very contemporary and very beautiful! We had everything we needed there. The pools are beautiful, the ocean right across the street! The only problem we had was with the tv,and that was fixed immediately. The Internet was great the whole time.
If you stay here, do not do the all inclusive. We received basically no service from the from desk, restaurants, and bars. They see that your all inclusive and actually ignore you and then are rude when you ask for service. It is at there expense, as we always tip well to the wait staff. It was so bad, we left after trying to make the best of the two of seven days we planned.
Third trip to aruba, first one at the any Divi, and first one with the school aged kids. Wonderful place to stay for families! Lots of other families and older folks did not seem to mind the kids. We opted for all inclusive and it was worth it. We went to the Tamarijn and Divi all inclusive as to eat as well. Food was good and plentiful. We loved the main pool at Divi golf, the zero entry pool and slide were great! Parents loved the swim up bar and lunch was also available pool side. Nothing fancy just the usual lunch fare, but good enough, IMO.We had zero problems with the wifi and it was pretty quick on our tablets and phones. One down side, was there was only one kid channel on the TV in our condo/suite. Odd since kids are welcomed. Our room was clean and furniture standard, sliders and windows needed an upgrade, the sliders were tough to open to the patio. The resort was not impeccable but better than average. Will be back again.
We have stayed in Aruba before at the Hyatt. My husband and friends wanted an all inclusive resort. All of the divi resorts are older and cater to older people. There is no shopping or ambiance with this resort. The food is horrible and they treat you badly if you are an all inclusive visitor since most of the residents pay. We were ignored and some restaurants we were barely served. The better part of the island is in the northern area. You have to take their shuttle to get to the beach and you have to take cabs to shopping or to get out to see sites. In the northern hotels you have shopping and many restaurants across the street from them. All inclusive isn’t alway the better way to go. The rooms were ok but not something I would consider a nice timeshare. If you are 60 and above love quiet time and early closing of pools and restaurants then this may be a good choice. Not good for a first time couple. We travel all around to many islands this was our second visit and it was such a huge difference on how we enjoyed the island. It was more of a bother to get around and not a relaxing vacation. Waste of money especially for the prices they charge. I’d rather pay for a regular hotel and get local food outside of the hotels. Also this resort is not on the beach so don’t expect to walk out and get sand on your toes. The other divi resorts they take you to have rough water compared to the north and the tamarin has rocks on their beach.
