The Mill Resort & Suites Aruba
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
The Mill Resort is Ok if you pay at most $100 per night. At this price evrything you get at The Mill is fair. Anything over this price you better look for a different place to stay. The pros are: close to the beach where you receive private chairs. The cons are: you will not receive shampoo and soap in the room unless you call the reception every day and ask for; the swimming pool is filthy (people are taking their drinks), sometime the iguanas are swimming too inside the pool. Also at 9 am all the pool chairs are allways occupied by towels even if nobody is at the pool. You have to wake up and come at the pool at 7 am if you want to have a seat by the pool. Also, there is a night club just in front of the resort. If your rooms are at the street or on the East Side, there is always noise from the club all night long. I guess if your rooms are on the other side you will hear noise from the cars passing by.
Me and my friends went to aruba this week for a girls trip, we booked a room at the mill. We have no compliants about the room and the location was great, it is right across from the Riu, the beach, and close to the bars/nightlife. The Mill nightclub is where everyone from all the other bars go at 3am-6am for after hrs which is amazing bc we were right at our hotel to end the night. From the second we arrived at the Mill, the front desk receptionist Patricia treated us horrible. She is extremely unprofessional, rude, and literally ruined our stay. Her attitude to answer simple questions was unnecessary and uncalled for. Every single day we would dread going near the desk to even ask for a taxi bc she made us feel like we bothering her, rolling her eyes and huffing & puffing. Aruba was amazing, but i will never stay at this hotel again due to how we were treated. Its unforunate bc all the other hotel workers were very nice, friendly, and helpful!
We stayed here due to the snow storm, it was a cheaper option and we were like hey we are still in Aruba lets enjoy it. Walked into this place and thank GOD it was only for 1 night. It looks and feels like a motel. The beds are cheap and everything is out dated. Depending on were you room is located you might have to walk laps around to get to your room. Pool is filled with an Elderly crowd. Only plus is the room has a jacuzzi, real motel like one. If you're looking for hip and upbeat, skip this place.
The rooms are in disrepair and have gotten worse over the years. The staff is undergoing changes and morale is low. The beach lacks shade and the shuttle to the beach is old and needs replacing to be safe. The exterior of the resort is also in need of some upgrades and safety measures.
This was my 3rd visit/stay at The Mill over the last 10 years and I am planning to visit again in 2018. The price is affordable, the staff is friendly and kind as are the natives of this island. The bar staff is awesome and the food is great. This is a very kid/family friendly place. It may not be The RIU but you can NOT beat the awesome services for the price you pay. Definitely recommend The Mill Resort!
