We stayed here 2 nights - Nov. 4 and 10th/17. My husband and I stayed here before and after visiting Bonaire. I usually give a lot of information about a property that we've visited but this time I would just say don't go.Front of house staff that we dealt with except for one were not friendly. It's under construction - Saturday at 8 a.m. we heard it starting right in front of our room.We had no idea it was under construction until we got there. It's next to a night club that is open until at least 6 in the morning. Housekeeping entered our room when we had the privacy note on the door. Gym is disgustingly dirty and equipment is in poor condition. 1 out 3 rooms only have a window. We could hear people talking in adjacent rooms. I will say that the rooms were clean. Time share guests seem to have precedence over other guests. I would never go back to this property.
Reservations were not found when we arrived, fortunately, we had the online reservation confirmation, After a lengthy discussion with the unfriendly desk clerk, we were finally given a room that was not prepped for guests - we had to go to the front desk to ask for towels and a coffee maker, the same desk clerk ignored us while she stapled receipts to invoices. The towels were brought by a very nice housekeeping person. Then the air cond unit leaked all over the floor by the door making a very slippery situation, maintenance came and told us we had the setting wrong...hmmm...unit could not keep the room cool, condensation on the floor due to a 2" gap in the sliding door that would not close tightly. Bathroom was disgusting, very old, what is that stuff they use for the countertops? It is bumpy and chipped, although it is shiny. The sliding door to the small patio area was hard to slide, in fact we had to keep putting it back on the runner. Since we were only staying 2 nights before heading to our condo, we sucked it up Never to return! The restaurant serves great food and the waitstaff is very friendly.
We stayed at the Mill Resort from 11/6-11/13. Great place. Our room was comfortable and modern and everything worked. We had a huge sunken tub AND a separate shower. Great location near the beach, shopping and restaurants. Nice restaurant on site. Very nice and helpful staff. We had a car and there was always sufficient parking. We would go back.
I’m currently staying here at The Mills the pictures from the site where I booked are not what we currently see. Pictures are very misleading. The hotel is under construction and was expected to be done by October it’s November a month later and they are still at it. I was expecting a balcony with a view instead I received a large roof top window with a view of men in hard hats. The oven to the kitchen stove doesn’t work. I called down for dish washing liquid because all the pots were dirty the clerk told me that I would have to go out and purchase what I needed which is 15 mins walking distance. I was a little heated being that I had already gone out and spent just about $100 worth of food and now I can’t cook it. plus I have to go back and buy dish washer liquid , paper towels and little things like that. The shuttle only goes to the beach and back. So without a car or the expensive taxi service you are stuck. The restaurant staff was nice. If you don’t ask questions nothing is offered I found more information from other guest. **not the best place to stay**
Visited here recently and I think the highlight was the friendliest and really fun bartenders. Our rooms were cleaned everyday with no issue. Even though they were under construction they offered alternative locations with shuttle for pool and beach. Some of the guests seemed very irritated about the construction but I feel they did a great job with offering the other options and with that we were able to explore around during the day more than if we stayed on site suing that pool the entire week. Even though the pool was smaller we still had plenty of room to enjoy a swim. The food was good as well we had lunch and breakfast a couple days on site and was very nice.
