Club Peace and Plenty
- What's Included
Nice location, as I could walk to a few places and the water taxi, which I took to Stocking Island, was right around the corner. The people are very nice and my room had a great view, seaside. It definitely has a “motel” type feel and was not high end, if that is what you are looking for, but I slept well listening to the ocean and besides that I did not stay in the room much. *I only stayed 4 days, travelled solo, used Exuma Water Sports for a day tour (which was pretty awesome), and spent some time on Stocking Island.
Understanding that Exuma is expensive, and most accommodations are modest, unless you go the luxury route, this is a welcoming spot with a staff that wants to make your trip a very pleasant one. Locals will tell you this is the "real Bahamas," and it is. Stunning views. There may be a few higher-end rooms in this complex, but most rooms are modest. You get only what you need. This is great place just to relax and hang out. The restaurant may be a bit pricy but it does not disappoint. The food is consistently good. Don't miss Thursday night's BBQ party. Lermon serves some pretty tasty, powerful drinks at the bar. Let the staff explain the excursions that are available--and take them! The all-day and half-day trips are WORTH IT! There is no beach access and the pool isn't really a pool. You take a boat over to Stocking Island across the way to hang out on the beach and experience the scene at the Chat n Chill. Try to get over to Lumina Point--a resort on the other side of the same island, especially if you want to get away from the crowd. Exuma is a very special place with very, very special people. But you have to lower your expectations in accommodations and understand everything is expensive--the locals pay the same prices. Everything needs to be imported from the northern Bahamas. In five to 10 years this island will explode with tourism. So enjoy the under-developed aspects of it now. The water and views are some of the best in all of the Caribbean. Swimming pigs are not to be missed.
Amazing as usual. The staff is helpful & friendly. They accommodated me in everything I asked for such as arranging a rental jeep, excursions, & informing me of what's happening around town. The food is wonderful. I loved everything they prepared...Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. Breakfast sandwiches are perfect. They even prepare boxes lunches when I venture off to the beach. The cocktails are spot on & the bartenders have some great stories. The view is spectacular. I love it! It doesn't get better than that anywhere else in the world! God bless the P&P and the wonderful hospitality of the people of Exuma.
Not many options in the area permit cost inflation to exist. Meals are marginal and costly. Facility is dated but a great place to hang out.. barbecue nights are very good, rooms are adequate. No beach, but the pool and patio are good. Staff are generally good.
Wanted to visit for long time and finally got the chance. It was a sisters' trip and we loved Peace and Plenty. It is centrally located, only a short walk to restaurants and water taxi to Stocking Island. Only got to enjoy P&P's restaurant one night as they were closing for maintenance and to give staff time off. We locked ourselves out of the room twice and Precious, who works the front desk, was more than happy to help. She was so patient with us and all our questions about this and that. Can't wait to go back!
