Club Peace and Plenty
- What's Included
We just came back from a vacation on the island of Exuma. The main purpose of the trip was for diving. The hotel is steps away from Dive Exuma. I can't say enough about the staff...they are ALL amazing people, the staff there cares about you and makes you feel special every day. The hotel manager, Magnolia is a wonderful lady who goes out of her way to make sure you are happy and taken care of. Monique, one of the staff members will always have a special place in our hearts as well. Every time we went out diving, she would always say "Be safe, let me know you are back, I care about you two!". Such a sweet and kind individual. Service was great too! I don't remember the names of all of the ladies at the front desk, but their smiles and caring attitudes will never be forgotten. One night there was a private party in the pool area for a staff member's friend who had his 50th birthday. Even though the event was private, they invited us to join them!! Open bar, delicious barbequed meat and fantastic and welcoming people...we had such a great night! Originally, we had booked a 4 day stay and we were planning on going to rent an airbnb for the rest of the days...but, given the fantastic time we had at the hotel, we decided to extend our stay until we left. They gave us a great deal on the price too. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting George Town. Thanks to everyone at Peace and Plenty, you will be dearly missed and we can't wait to be back!!
This was our 8th visit to Georgetown, but first stay at Peace n Plenty. What a great visit! We are a family of four with two teenage boys, so we had two adjacent rooms. The cost was very comparable (if not better) to the two bedroom condo we often rent at Palm Bay. We always rent a boat from Minns to explore the nearby beaches, and being able to walk across the street to the dock each morning was a HUGE benefit. As you see from other reviews, the staff at Peace n Plenty is amazing, welcoming, and truly some of the nicest people on the island. We certainly have our favorites elsewhere, but I have to say there wasn't a single person who was not smiling and cheerful to see each day. There is no beach at the hotel, but you don't need one if you plan on renting a boat or driving to more desolate locations.Breakfast and lunch were good and reasonable. Dinner is fancy, so we needed our rental car ($400 per week) to go elsewhere except for the nice Thursday night BBQ by the pool.We will definitely be back!
Our flight was overbooked so Delta put us up for one day here. The room was very nice, the view from the balcony was gorgeous. The food and drinks in the hotel were very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this lovely hotel.
Thursday Night Barbecue at Club Peace & Plenty was a let down. Fish very overcooked (for all three of us) and could not eat -we took one bite and threw them away & cheeseburger very undercooked (raw in the middle for two of us who also threw away meal). Nice people and pretty setting but lots of flies. Would not recommend Thursday Night Barbecue at Club Peace & Plenty until they get more organized with the preparation of the barbecue grilling so that food is prepared properly. I am sure there regular restaurant meals are fine buty have not tried.
We didn't stay there but ate there several times during our week long stay in Exuma. The staff were warm, welcoming, and accommodating. The food was excellent and the drinks superb. We met people who had been coming to the island and staying there over and over again spanning thirty years.
