Comfort Suites Paradise Island
- What's Included
OverviewFor those in search of value and convenience, Comfort Suites Paradise Island can be a precious find. This hotel has nicely furnished suites that are well equipped with modern amenities. But the hotel's prime location is really its biggest selling point - guests are practically on the doorstep of the Atlantis resort and have full access to their fabulous facilities including their beach, pools, water slides, Lazy River Ride, health spa, tennis and Atlantis Kids Camp, and more.
We've stayed at the CS Paradise Island 4 times in the past 8 years, and always had a good experience. We had a good stay again this year, however the quality of the breakfast items has gone down. They still have scrambled eggs, however we stayed for 7 days and saw sausage at the buffet one day for a brief period, and they no longer serve bacon, instead they have some kind of hot dog meat in red sauce. Meats have been replaced with french toast. Quality of pastries has gone down to the point where i only tried them the first day or two. They used to have different flavored danish and doughnuts. Coffee and orange juice quality was also poor in my opinion, no more cranberry juice. Fruits are now melon instead of apples, bananas, oranges and grapefruit, and i understand this change as they don't want people walking out with fruit. So I went to super value market and bought my wife some grapefruit. While i really like the value of the CSPI, I would pay a little more for my room in order to get a better breakfast each day. I can only eat so much french toast over the course of a week.Another improvement would be to heat the pool during colder months. CSPI has such a nice pool area, but in January the water is too cold....we would be willing to spend time at the pool if the water was warmer.Overall CSPI is a good value as you get complimentary access to Atlantis.
Stayed here for a business for four days. Everything was perfect, great room, good bed, clean bathroom and great pool. Hotel staf is most polite and helpfull. Really good stay. Good location next to Atlantis.
To be woken up by the operator by mistake at 5:30am is NOT the way I thought my first day of vacation would begin....Guards out watching what and how much you consume at the poor breakfast set-up is truly sad! $5.00 a day per person for housekeeping is downright robbery ....are they giving this to the housekeeper??? I highly doubt she/he gets $20. for a room of 445 minutes to checkout, many other clients dissatisfied in line before me, no view whatsoever .......one learns by their mistake and this hotel was a mistake.
Traveled with 2 young kids and booked due to proximity to Atlantis. We should have asked for a room closer to the Atlantis side because it was quite a walk from our room to the exit but probably wouldn't be a big deal for older kids/adults. Breakfast was slightly better than expected for "free" and was nice to be able to fill up in the morning without leaving hotel. We are breakfast every day by the pool. We also ate at the restaurant a few times in the evening (pizza for kids, chocolate chip cookies, dessert, dinner) and always enjoyed it. Service was very friendly and my son called our waiter his best friend the rest of the trip. The room was clean and comfortable and the separate seating area was nice to have. In addition the on-site restaurant, Marina Village is across the street with lots of restaurants and Ben & Jerry's, although we didn't eat there. There is also Anthony's and Margaritaville within walking distance (both non Atlantis). In the plaza with Anthony's is a small grocery store where we stocked up on drinks and snacks, although some of the prices are crazy ($11 for oreos), but they did have better deals on some local items that we took home like jams, hot sauce, etc.You can also walk to the water ferry, which is a 10 minute ride to Nassau, which we enjoyed.
Booking at this hotel is a great way to do Atlantis on a budget. The cost of the hotel room is about half of any of the Atlantis properties. it is a short walk to the property (although the short cut path is currently closed) and breakfast is included. The rooms and property are renovated and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Be aware that no matter where you stay, plan for $75 per night in extra fees and taxes assessed by the Bahamian government. Also this hotel charges $25 per person for over 2 people.
