Melia Nassau Beach Resort
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
I came here for a family trip for a week and had the time of my life. All I know is that the people who left bad reviews are on something else. From the time we arrived we were treated like royalty. The people that work here are so kind and truly go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing stay. My room was cleaned everyday and left spotless. Everyone greats you with a smile and a very friendly hello. The hotel was immaculate, yes there were little spots here and there that needed fixing but i'm sorry what place dosent. The restaraunts were really good and the bartenders even better. Shout out to Giovanni from Nikkei! He was amazing. Edmund was also wonderful and Sharon and her staff at the marketplace you all were amazing!!! Also shout out to Q who rented all the water sport equipment. You can snorkel, kayak and go on a water tricycle for free! Including some other stuff i can't remember right now. Make sure you leave tips for these hard working people yes, I know its all inclusive but they really do go above and beyond.
Came here for my 30th birthday from the UK. We loved it! Brilliant food, staff and service. Room was clean and spacious. Mini fridge was stocked daily. The beach and surrounding were well kept.No complaints from us and we will see you again that's for sure xx
The Melia was my choice for my last days in The Bahamas I knew the reputation and I have been sending co-workers there for 5 years. The reservations staff is one of the best. The front desk can use some work. The bartenders are great, the restaurants are okay. But you can have fun
The room and view were beautiful. The food was average but good for the price we paid. The employees, especially Dwynique (entertainer) and Little Mo' (waitress on the beach), made our trip all the better. Dwynique is sweet and went the extra mile to make our vacation special and memorable. The pools and beaches are great. We can't wait to go back!
Let me start by saying I have been coming down to Nassau Bahamas for over twenty-five years and unfortunately it seems that the government cannot keep up with the projects that The Bahamas is involved in such as the Baha Mar, Grand Hyatt and Rosewood which unfortunately is a multi million dollar project that sits across from the Melia and Crystal Palace which I believe was supposed to open in 2014 and still sits there basically rotting away and which I believe destroyed the landscape of Nassau. Anyway, let's get down to The Melia:1. Tried calling to make reservations for restaurants two days before going to the Bahamas and to no avail even after speaking with the Concierge no one ever contacted me to make reservations. When we arrived and the young lady at the desk knew who I was and incidentally a very nice young lady who said I could not have a reservation at the Japanese restaurant that night I started to get a little annoyed as I explained to her that I had called and funny enough they found a place for us that night. (Incidentally, if you don't book the hibachi portion in advance which no one mentioned you don't get seating there so in advance if that is what you would like to do, make reservations in advance). All in all we had reservations every night at 6:30 and I have to say the staff at the restaurants were terrific along with the food.2. Personally I thought the drinks were not good, such as the Pina Coladas so if I wanted a good one I went off premises to have one. I was disappointed that as I was not a "Level 1" we could not even have Pinot Grigio wine which is what my husband and I typically drink. Chardonnay or another type of white wine was our only choices.3. We are not people who like the screaming of the young people at the swim up bar and was chased off the beach which was reserved for "Level 1" people which years ago The Raddison did not do to their customers which I felt was not great as we inquired to the Level 1 and it was an additional $180.00 more a day for what we thought was pretty expensive.4. The fridge in the room which was to be stocked everyday was not, I believe they came for us two times as we stayed for 6 days five nights. We had to call for the bathtub as running the shower we were standing in high waters which we called and was fixed right away. The tv remote was not working as the batteries were dead and we asked the gentleman who stocked the fridge to help and he changed the batteries. The tv itself was snowy so we watched only certain channels. All in all they really need to update their rooms. For the most part I have to say it was a very pleasant visit and would definitely return.
