One and Only Ocean Club
- What's Included
I was all excited for my upcoming stay at one and only ocean club in October 2016, a trip to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday! My trip was planned for the 22nd approximately 2 weeks after a terrible Hurricane had hit the islands of the Bahamas. I received a phone call 7 days before my trip, notifying me that due to the storm the resort would fortunately be closed for my trip. Although this was disappointing news, it was the nonchalant attitude of the reservation supervisor( I use that term loosely) Brandon [--]; that really cemented my encounter with One and Only as once enough for me! He offered no other recourse than to "offer" me a full refund for my advance purchase; something he is legally bound to do since it is his company that is canceling my trip. No offer to help arrange accommodations at Atlantis or even look into the possibility of their availability for the same dates( there is a business affiliation between the two resorts). No offering of a credit for future date possibilities, simply nothing ... I truly felt that this was indeed a One and Only experience...an extremely poor example of Customer Focus. This Supervisor lacked all ability to drive results for a pending guests and whose empty words of "I know how you feel" rung hollow and truly void of genuine acknowledgment of the huge inconvenience and financial burden( flight tickets) he now presented. If you dare to call yourself One and Only then the resort should indeed make every attempt to live up to the name in every circumstance!!!!Mrs. Kemp-Prosterman
Spent an amazing weekend here and love the resort. Amazing beach and great service at the pool. The food is excellent at the restaurant. We also really enjoyed the spa at this hotel. The staff is excellent. The shuttle to and from the airport was amazing! The rooms have a butler and are extremely comfortable with a nice terrace. Highly recommend for Bahamas beach escape.
Simply amazing and wonderful place. The Ocean Club is a luxurious resort on a wonderful beach. Both Grill Bar and Dune restaurants are wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. Rooms are big, comfortable. Everything in the resort is clean and all the details are perfectly managed. All the common area are simply perfect, Pool areas, the boutique, the bars, the gardens, the lobby.Spending time in Ocean Club is like living a dream. Breakfast are amazing. The only bad thing is the service. For a so wonderful place it is unbelievable a so poor service in some areas.
Lovely stay with friends, great service and terribly expensive drinks and food. If this was someplace exotic, I'd understand but $12 for a cappuccino, not so much! I understand that this is considered the nicest hotel in the Bahamas, but come on, it's right near the Vegas-like Atlantis and unless you stay in your hotel, you're quickly reminded why you don't want to venture out. Anyway, nice service but wouldn't and couldn't justify the prices.
The O&O is one of the finest hotel's I've had the pleasure to be a guest of. Our go to hotels include Westin, JW and occasionally a Ritz or rosewood property. The rooms are what you would expect in a high end property. Beautiful views, spacious area's, high end products in the bath, etc. What separates the O&O is the staff. They are the happiest most helpful people I have ever encountered. They anticipate your needs before you even know you had a need! We'd go to breakfast and the room was made up before we returned, we took a shower for an afternoon activity and the room was made up, nightly turndown service with chocolate strawberries and champagne. Not sure how they did it but we never saw a cleaning cart or housekeeping during our stay anywhere on the property. Same is true of the grounds, perfectly manicured but we never heard mowers or trimmers. the car service is a very nice perk as is the free access to Atlantis and water park. While at Atlantis, we were so happy we were not staying there, like a big Disney/Vegas hotel. Fun to visit but enjoyed the solitude of the O&O. I was asked why is it so expensive compared to other pretty high end chains and it is the little things that add up, they know your name, head to the beach they set up chairs and umbrella's where you want, sunscreen is provided at no charge and of course the attitude's!
