What a great location! This modern hotel is conveniently located on sandy, white Accra Beach within walking distance to shops and restaurants on the south coast. The action of St. Lawrence Gap is a short five-minute drive away. With its waterfall and poolside bar, Accra's clover-leaf-shaped pool is a fun gathering place during the day. In the evening, after a fine meal in Wytukai (pronounced Y2KAI) - the island's first Polynesian restaurant - dance under the stars on the open-air terrace.

Location: 20 minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport and 10 minutes to Bridgetown.

Birthday Staycation

My husband treated me to a staycation at Accra Beach Hotel, and it was perfect. This hotel also has some of the best customer service I've received in Barbados. We got a room with a Jacuzzi that overlooked the pool and some of the beach. It was so romantic. The pool is also an good spot to relax and have lunch. The buffet breakfast was perfect, and I was informed by a waiter that all the baking is done at the hotel- which explains all the delicious breads they have available. I can't wait to return, we are already making plans!

Great hotel potentially, not so great experience

The hotel is a tad bit on the costly side but i loved the convenience of waking up and walking right from the hotel onto the beach, into the ocean and the ease and convenience of walking right back up into your room after my sea bath. The hotel is well maintained and kept clean. The layout of the hotel and the pools leading into the ocean is lovely. The room was big enough, nice and clean. It was cleaned daily and cleaned well. Breakfast was decent but i would have liked to see a consistently wider variety of Bajan local food. The reception staff, the baggage area staff, the staff at the breakfast area - all of these persons were very friendly and helpful.My 3 star rating has to do with my experience as a Conference attendee. The air condition was not functioning for 4 out of my 5 days stay. I did make up in a sweltering room then had to go into an even hotter elevator then had to sit in a conference room that was even hotter. Please bear in mind i am from the Caribbean and am accustomed to heat. The hotel did a poor job of providing the most basis item of water consistently given the situation wrt the lack of airconditioning. The hotel should have been on top of that given how bad it was but they were most defintely not.This spoilt my experience as the cost i paid considered air conditioning as something that i was paying for that was supposed to make my stay comfortable. Also given the air condition situation the hotel should have provided adequate water without being asked to. The majority of my stay was not comfortable.I may stay at Accra again, it is a lovely place but how they handled the airconditioning situation leaves me open to trying out other hotels in the area. It was not value for money this time.

Good Hotel Close to Being Great

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The staff are very friendly. And the rooms are very spacious and tidy. This room definitely has the potential to be great once a few areas are worked on. The conference room was very hot despite the air conditioner. The elevator is also not air conditioned so it's also hot. And my room was very hot too, despite the air conditioner being on the lowest setting. I also had to wait for two hours to check it as there was some challenge with the room. Once these areas are addressed, the hotel will definitely deserve 5 stars. Great location, great room design, great staff and great food.

Great hotel location!

We stayed at the Accra for 7 nights. Our room was not what i would consider to be "oceanfront" but at least we had a view of it. The hotel was in a great location because directly across the street is a little shopping plaza with all sorts of little places to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. We actually never ate at the hotel during our stay.

We read reviews stating not to stay in island view room do to noise. But decided it can't be that bad.Front desk was polite. Once we arrived to our island view room it looked out dated with lots of handy man patch work. Back of bathroom door has mold. Island view does not look like pictured featured on website and I agree it's very noisy. Room is facing busy road with taxi blowing horns all day and night. My husband had to fix the toilet twice due to chain coming off and not flushing. Rooms were clean, but no wash cloths. Everyday we had to ask for wash cloths and was frequently told there none available. So some days we had to go without wash clothes. This hotel is not worth the money. We still have 4 more day left and wished we listened to other reviews and booked somewhere else.
