Overview
What a great location! This modern hotel is conveniently located on sandy, white Accra Beach within walking distance to shops and restaurants on the south coast. The action of St. Lawrence Gap is a short five-minute drive away. With its waterfall and poolside bar, Accra's clover-leaf-shaped pool is a fun gathering place during the day. In the evening, after a fine meal in Wytukai (pronounced Y2KAI) - the island's first Polynesian restaurant - dance under the stars on the open-air terrace.

Location: 20 minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport and 10 minutes to Bridgetown.

great location, great beach

loved the hotel bc it was clean, open aired lobby and pool scene.the beach was crystal clear, had sizable waves if you like body surfing.a little further south twd the wall the water was calmer.the best part was all the different casual food choices within walking distance so I did not go broke on hotel price food. we had a street view on busy street, but the patio doors are completely sound proof.the staff was nice for the most part

Highly recommend

We stayed for 5 days & enjoyed our stay very much.We had a hick up upon check in as our room wasn’t ready & had to wait quite some time, however, the front desk staff were very simpathetic that we were frustrated & we were compensated with complimentary dinner & 2 breakfasts. The rest of our stay went smoothly, we found everyone very friendly & helpful. We enjoyed the theme nights & drinks at the sunset bar watching the wonderful Caribbean sunsets. Our room was just fine, very clean with ocean view, everything worked, we had a good view but I guess the view would be better on a higher floor.

Far More Professional & Kind than US Spas

The hotel is beautiful. The staff is very gentle and willing to assist. The Chakra Spa was the best I've been to, ever. I wouldn't go for just a mani/pedi though. If you go, go for their treatments or waxing which are more specialities. The Chakra staff is kind and very professional. They make you feel comfortable and calm. The treatment itself was well done. I would do it again, even though the price was above my comfort zone because it was well worth it in quality.

Lovely Thai buffet

We recently had a lovely evening with friends and family at the Accra hotel. The buffet was well stocked with a nice variety of tasty dishes, which were quickly refreshed as/when required. Our server was very nice and looked after us quite well - but wasn't particularly attentive (hence the 4/5).

Overall a good choice

We stayed at the Accra Beach for 9 nights on a Room only basis from 26th October to November 4th. In initial summary we were happy with our choice. The hotel is in a great location with lots of shops and restaurants around it. Easy buses and taxis to Bridgetown and to Lawrence Gap or beyond. Our room was ready when we arrived at 4pm. We had booked an ocean view deluxe room. We got a first floor (131) room which did indeed look over the sea and pool. It had a small balcony. It was very clean and had been recently repainted I think. The air con was good, beds comfortable but was by no means deluxe but it served our needs for the holiday. We had little intention of spending too much time in the room. We deliberately chose room only to give us choice to eat. I was surprised to be given a 20% discount on all food and drinks we purchased during our stay. This made a difference and did indeed encourage us to eat more in the resort. Overall the food was of good quality if not a little over priced. The breakfast buffet was very over priced at $60 BBS each so we reverted to the menus which was better value and better food. My main criticism is the staff. The bar and restaurant staff were generally quite rude and unhelpful. It seemed a chore for them to look after us and often 3 or 4 would sit around and chat before asking if we wanted to order anything. The system for charging to your room is a joke. You are asked your name and room number at least 3 times plus the spelling of your name and then presented with 4 pieces of paper! Very time consuming when you just want a beer at the pool bar. All that said the bell staff at the concierge desk were very friendly and helpful so it’s not true for all staff. Special mention to Jamal. We only opted to eat in the hotel for dinner once. It was a bbq night with entertainment and was overall good fun. There were no bars open by the pool until 12 each day which was irritating having to go inside. The beach was very clean private. A few beach sellers but nothing too intrusive. My last Criticism was the kids club. The lady who runs the club was off the week we were here and her stand it was very uninterested and would often only open the club if she felt like it or was not too busy! Despite the hotel pledge to offer a club 6 days a week. Irritating for my 9 year old that wanted to visit for a few hours with her holiday friends each day!Overall as I said I was happy with our choice. It was good value for money for our budget, clean good food and a good location. Would we come again, probably not but that’s because we never visit the same place twice!
