Location: 20 minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport and 10 minutes to Bridgetown.
Sadly, we didn't get rum punch or a cool towel upon check in - but i must say the upgrade from pool view to pool/ocean made up for it. We got a cake and bubbly to toast our 9 year anni courtesy of the hotel..i was very impressed with this hotel. I loved the fact that it was close to everything. The strip mall across the street was great, I LOVED OISTINS!! Be sure to exchange your US dollars - they go a long way. I can't wait to return - but in Fed-July next time. We ate at Champers which was divine!! We stayed 9/13 - 9/17Ps. Mr. Victor - who doubles as a taxi and the visitors/activities desk was super nice He drove us to Harrison's Cave and gave a tutorial on Barbados along the way. he even waited for us once the tour was over.
This was our third visit and once again it did not disappoint, we returned home this morning and are already planning our next trip. Hotel is in a good location with lots of bars/restaurants close by and although we only booked for bed & breakfast we did end up eating at the hotel on several occasions and the food was superb.The staff at the Accra are second to none (though the night security could be a bit grumpy - probably just tired lol) and the hotel has lovely pools and nice rooms.Some of the bad reviews on here amaze me as I wonder if they have stayed at the same place as me. A friend who had never been to Barbados and couldn't understand why we would keep going back to the same place joined us this time and has now also been hooked on the Accra.We did have a bit of a delay with our room being allocated on arrival but we were made quite comfortable in the bar with a rum punch so it wasn't an issue.I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff at the Accra for another amazing holiday.
Currently staying here and just had the worst Service ever. First let me start off by saying the bar staff is nice but a few minutes ago my girlfriend and I went to the beach and asked for two chairs. All other staff looked and walked away. Had to wait ten minutes for the supposed attendant to come to only have him take the two chairs off the stack and place them in front of the the stack behind current beach goers. We asked him to move to a clearing which was still working the confines of the property and we were rudely told that no he can't and basically walked away with a don't care attitude. He didn't ruin my afternoon but surely makes me think twice about recommending to any family and friends.
I was booked for 6 nights at this hotel and checked out after 1 night. The location of the hotel is nice but it suffers from poor management. Room was not available upon arrival, could not tell us when it would be ready, when we ultimately got the room it was dirty. In general the level of cleanliness was poor and the rooms are in a poor condition. It desperately needs an upgrade together with better management. We checked out the next day and found a better hotel.
Currently staying at Accra at the moment, again service exceptional, spotlessly clean as usual and I would be happy to stay here on my own, ideal location right on the beach and close to some great restaurants, however, my one worry is security seems to have altered, I noticed a guest being pestered by somebody (not a guest) asking for a cigarette which security ignored, there was also a large group of guests having what seemed like a 'pool party' on a couple of occasions and I know other guests complained and were told security were dealing with it but it continued, but I did see security tell two children they had to eat their chefette in their room, that can't be right can it?. New beach bar seems to be a hit too, this is my fifth visit and much busier this time, but there have been some wedding parties staying here. Have spoken to several returning guests too so this hotel is obviously doing something right, however they all had room upgrades as returnees sadly I have not had this pleasure although it would be nice to be shown some appreciation for your custom. However no doubt I will be returning, this is a great place to stay!.
