All Seasons Resort Europa
- What's Included
We stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of May. What a lovely place! The accommodation was clean, spacious and quiet. The staff were very helpful, friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were kept up to date with events happening at the resort during our stay.
This Resort "does what it says on the tin". Clean, spacious accommodation comprising front porch with table and chairs, patio doors leading to roomy lounge with sofa, armchair, coffee table, dining table and chairs, ceiling fan and cable TVand a telephone. Off the lounge is a small square and adequately equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, and oven. A pretty basic supply of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery are provided. A very roomy bedroom with large fitted wardrobes, US 'King Sized' bed ( which splits into twin beds ), dressing table, chair, suitcase rack, ceiling fan, bedside tables and bedside lamps. The wardrobe incorporates an electronic safe for use at a small daily charge of $BD5. An aircon unit is fitted but there is a separate charge for use. Off the bedroom is a bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and sink. There is also a hairdryer. All the windows are open/closing slatted glass with black-out curtains. On site is a Reception, a Bar with limited opening times and a popular Asian Spice Restaurant. The packages are self catering but a breakfast is an optional extra. A good sized pool is surrounded by sun beds, a large grassed area with palm trees and good modernised toilets and showers. There is also a gym with controlled access and a business centre. Adequate car parking space throughout the complex. The resort is an easy 10 minute stroll from a 'Cave Shepherd' duty free Shopping Mall, Bank and Coffee Shops which are next to the main coast road and regular National and 'Reggae' Bus Services to take you almost anywhere for $BD2 a trip! A medical centre is a further 5mins walk. A 10 minute stroll will take you to a 'Chattel Village' Tourist Craft Shopping Area, a garage incorporating a very well equipped Supermarket and KFC which is in fact in Holetown itself. Another Shopping Mall a little further on incorporates a few small Coffee Shops/Delis as well as designer clothes and jewellery outlets. The other side of the main Coastal Highway gives access to a number of nice sandy beaches and there is a "Surfside" Beach bar offering food and drinks. All the usual water sports are on offer by locals at varying prices. Adjacent to the Police Station complex are some small streets with a variety of decent restaurants, including Chinese and Indian plus bars. The Sunset Mall at Holetown is under redevelopment, completion about November 2017 and will incorporate a large 'Massy's Supermarket along with other outlets. Food is not that expensive, nor is beer/Rum for cocktails and we have experienced almost a 50% saving on our normal all-inclusive packages doing some self catering as well as eating out.For those wanting a value for money holiday with the freedom to explore and do your own thing, meeting and mixing with the incredibly friendly local people then this may well be what you are looking for.In the same area I have stayed previously in the Mango Bay, Discovery Bay and Beach Club( was Almond Bay before refurbishment ) Resorts on an all-inclusive basis, but found we still went out and about on tours, trips and away-days, spending on top of the AI package! The Management and staff at All-Seasons are very polite, friendly and helpful and you can organise most things via reception from money changing to booking tours and transport. If you want top notch Accommodation and plush surroundings, go to the much more expensive hotels...and there are plenty of them. If you want a relaxing 'do as you please' holiday without being governed by set meal times or bar opening hours then I can well recommend this Resort.
We stayed here, for one of our two week holiday to Barbados, at the beginning of May.It isn't luxury accommodation but the price reflects that and it is perfectly adequate as a base from which to explore. The beautiful setting plus very friendly, helpful staff more than makes up for any shortcomings in the rooms. Also, most time is spent outside plus it has a gorgeous pool and is easy walking distance to Holetown (about 15 minutes, although we usually caught a taxi home). The lounge area is quite comfortable and the bedroom large with plenty of storage space and welcome air-conditioning (extra charge but definitely worth it).The kitchen is small and quite basic but it has a large fridge, a cooker and microwave. My husband managed to produce a delicious meal using the facilities and the view from the window was a pretty distraction! The shower, again is a good size and powerful, although it did become very hot as there was no fan. There is a good hairdryer provided.During our stay we ate out most of the time but we cooked on two occasions, plus wanted breakfast, drinks and a few snacks, so needed to purchase supplies on our first morning. There is a convenience shop less than five minutes walk away, towards the entrance of Sunset Crest, but it was poorly stocked, apart from water etc. We decided to take the shuttle bus (from the covered area just past the Chattel Village on the walk into Holetown) to Massey's supermarket, about 10 minutes drive away. Get there early as the first, very small minibus, was full so we had to wait 20 minutes for another one! Massey's was very well stocked and, for those who like a reminder of home, they even have some Waitrose produce!!! Double check return times too as we caught a bus which wasn't even scheduled. The Indian restaurant on-site is superb and the staff, both management and waiting on, were outstanding! Delicious, authentic food too and a perfect setting next to the pool.Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this complex. We moved onto a stunning aparthotel in Saint Lawrence Gap, with a designer interior and views of the sea but...it was more than double the price. We will definitely return to this site and spend the money to stay in Barbados for longer!!! Many thanks to all the staff.
Women's retreat, we had an extraordinary weekend. The staff were very friendly and caring and responded to all our request without hesitation. They went over and above what anyone could ask. We will be planning for next year. The ambience and overall atmosphere is very beautiful. Lying beside the pool at night and gazing at the sky was very special. The conference facilities is very spacious and was a pleasant surprise for a small hotel like this. All our meals were well prepared and oh so delicious, Mark and his team did an excellent job.
Was there for a 3 night weekend women's church retreat. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They took great care of us. Enjoyed the gym and we were comfortable in our rooms. It would be a great place to stay for crop over since you have a full kitchenette. I really appreciate how we were treated. Thanks guys!
