Stayed 3/10/16 to 17/10/16. We have just returned from our 2nd visit to All Seasons Resort Europa and it was just as beautiful as our 1st except for only 1 major problem. There was an obnoxious wedding party from London staying there too. They were loud, rude and a real pain in the backside and seemed to have absolutely no regard for the fact that there were other guests also trying to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and tropical paradise that the resort has on offer. 2 very young boys (around 9 or 10) with the party were even rude to other guests and used some very unsavoury language on a couple of occasions, but an apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and it was clear to see where they learnt this behaviour from. We made friends with 3 other couples during our stay and we were all overjoyed to see this awful group leave!!These people left a rotten review (see DJ Leroy from Essex) and all because they feel they were not “accommodated” whatever that means? They accused the bar staff of overcharging the children at the bar which I find very hard to believe. Barbados relies almost totally on tourism for its main industry and the only thing worse that a bad review is possibly bad weather. Well I can’t prevent a hurricane but I can speak out against this spiteful review. It’s true to say that the bungalows are a little weathered and worn in parts but the furniture is recent and in excellent condition and offers plenty of comfort. The kitchenette is functional and reasonably well equipped and the bathroom spacious and clean. And as the resort does not advertise itself as 5* luxury, it is charming and offers exactly what you can expect for the price. The pool, gardens and rest room facilities are excellent although finding some shade at the poolside if you are not a sun worshipper can be a little be difficult but not impossible. However, I don’t think you can put a price on customer service and the Europa delivers absolutely first class care for their guests. We had a couple of very minor issues with our cooker on arrival, these were addressed and put right immediately and with a very sincere apology. All of the staff are warm and friendly, the daily maid service went above and beyond by even cleaning our dirty dishes if we left them in the sink and we always had a plentiful supply of toilet rolls, washing up liquid toiletries and clean towels and bed linen. The staff are very attentive and happy to deal with any problems and will endeavour to do all that is required to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and we really valued knowing that they appreciated us mentioning any problems rather than simply going home and complaining here on TA after the event. For a budget resort, you will get excellent value for money that is typically Bajan, if you want 5* USA, London, Paris Rome etc. luxury then you will have to pay for Sandy Lane.Thank you all at ASR for another wonderful holiday
Arrived 8th October for three week stay. Halfway through and we are really pleased. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Your welfare is their priority The pool area is lovely with well maintained gardens. Excellent maid service as rooms are cleaned and stock like toilet rolls is replaced daily. Apartment has lots of space with large living / dining area and huge bedroom. Large walk in shower. Small kitchenette with enough equipment for simple cooking. Any problems and the staff are quick to rectify. For a budget self catering establishment it exceeds expectations.
Once again enjoyed my trip to this resort,(prices on the island are higher than my last visit),but the staff are brilliant and rooms clean and looked after, the only complaint was regarding the review by the large wedding party from London, they were loud, rude to staff and had no regards for the other guests.
I traveled to Barbados from 10/8/16-10/15/16 and was referred to this resort as part of Diamond Resorts - "Affiliate". Having stayed at other Diamond Resorts I was excited as their resorts are of high quality. Maybe my expectations were too high??? However this resort is a 2 star at best if that is all you require. We arrived at the Resort ~2:30pm and were told that we were not able to check in until 4pm. No exceptions. We ended up going to grab a bite to eat and coming back and the room still was not ready by 4 (~4:30ish). Each "unit" has a covered porch with a small table & chairs. Also a lounge chair. The room was clean - however HOT as it had probably been vacant for a while and took a long time to cool down. The furniture was very worn/dated. The tiled floor was worn. Living area furniture was more like "outdoor furniture". Very uncomfortable chair & "couch". Flat screen tv installed on the wall. Direct TV Service which service varied when the heavy rains came with errors of weak signal. Why is this important? When you are stuck in the room due to bad weather - it matters...There is only 1 a/c unit in the place. Located in the bed room for which the room key is bolted to a a/c card so that you are unable to leave the a/c running if you leave & lock up the room. The bedroom does cool off - however the cool air rarely cooled down the living/sitting area which lies adjacent and where the only television was located. We tried running both ceiling fans but never cooled the dining & living area down to where it was comfortable.Kitchen is comprised of a Fridge/Freezer, Toaster, Microwave, Electric Stove. Basic utensils & such. They provide you with dish soap & sponge. We purchased paper towel from the local market. All was functional.Bathroom was all tile - very slippery. You need to request a rubber mat from Reception. Water pressure was poor & we needed to have someone come fix the plumbing which happened towards the end of our stay. They provide you with limited toiletries which were replenished once during the stay. The light fixture was loaded with dead bugs which you could see when you turned the light on. Toliet paper must have been at a premium because they would leave 1 roll and we had to call frequently to get more.. "Can someone please spare a square???"The "king" bed which felt like two twin beds pushed together. It was low to the ground. The mattress had no support and if you have a bad back like myself - you wake up miserable.... Two side tables w/lamps (both with broken shades). Room stayed cool when the ceiling fan & a/c running. No dressers - clothes/bags are stored in closets. There is a safe located in a closet which is good to store your valuables & travel documents. The resort touts that it has shuttle service - which they do: however it is a beat up green van: (no a/c) which only is available twice a day. We used the shuttle once - to go to a restaurant while we waited for the room to be ready -- the shuttle driver said he'd be back in an hour - he wasn't. We had to call to have him come back. Another couple gave up waiting and walked back to the resort.... It was then decided that we would rent a car as this service was not going to be reliable....The pool was nice. Never too busy. Plenty of lounge chairs. You can request towels to use for the week but if you want clean ones - there is a charge to change them. The beach is about a 15 minute walk. We rented a car which was better. The resort does not have any chairs or umbrellas to borrow for use. There is a small supermarket located about a 15 minute walk as well. The restaurant was quite tasty: Asian Spice (Indian Food). Pricey, small portions - but tasty. The service was very good. One of the employees at reception was very nice - helped us get a car with a local company. I was not wowed but other employees - not overly friendly. Housekeeping kept getting annoyed with us as we had to ask for more TP because they would not give us more than 1 roll. Room was visited/cleaned once a week by housekeeping. To sum up - if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay and not concerned about comfort or convenience & expecting a "2-Star" then All Seasons may work for you. Personally I was disappointed and don't believe I will return there.
Just returned last night from a week at this wonderful little gem of a place in Barbados. As previous reviewers have said, it is a perfect spot if you are looking for reasonable, comfortable accommodations on the beautiful west coast of Barbados. Cheryl and Sophia could not have been warmer or more helpful. Our cottage was perfect, had an ample kitchen, was spotlessly clean. All Seasons is not a 5 star resort, but they do not advertise that. I found it exactly as I expected and more! Great pool area. I found the food at Asian Spice quite good, and was pleased to have the offering on arrival after a long flight and travel day. Can't wait to return!
