Well we stayed here for 3 weeks over the Christmas & New year period and had no complaints, when we arrived there were not many people staying at the hotel so we had A la carte service on every meal including breakfast. The staff were always helpful and friendly, it is not a 5* establishment but it doesn't market its self as such hence the price you are paying for all inclusive in Barbados. Our room was perfect we couldn't of wished for anything nicer with a priceless view of the sea, we had no problems with the toilet or powerful hot shower [room 407. ] The beach area is lovely it is small and quiet, over the festive period when the hotel was full you had to be quick to get a sun bed if you wanted a specific spot, but a lot of people only went to the beach for a few hours so there was always availability somewhere, if you are looking for the hussle and bussle of the Spanish Costa's this is not the place for you.
ANOTHER GREAT TIMEArrived on Christmas Eve Evening meal was a SUNDAY roastFirst class start. On 4th floor great view sea and pool.Christmas day entertainment stilt walking, tuc band, dancer.Lunch and evening meal was brilliant Thank you, Felix and all the staff, once again first-class holidayNew Year’s Eve was excellent there were some Scottish guests and at 8 o’clock Bajan time one played the bagpipes for the UK midnight chimes. This was so moving the entertainment for the night at the Sea Rock Dome meal was great and the night got better there was a singer Aubrey Mann great voice, Live band then at midnight there was fireworks we had hats, blowers, tiaras happy new year and champagne the music from the DJ was brill until 2.00am the staff let their hair down and it was great to see them relaxing Two weeks relaxing it was so good.Keep up the good work BBC staff hope to be back later in the year again
We arrived on Dec. 1 for two weeks. We started off in room 202, right beside the elevator..yikes.(.we were neighbours of a previous reviewer,) and experienced a few issues with the room. We were moved to 210 (getting moved was bit of a process...) overlooking the pool and were very happy here for the rest of our stay. Our Air Canada rep,Virginia was also very helpful with the room move. The hotel is dated but well kept and clean. I kind of like the classic Caribbean vibe here.We found the staff to be lovely and helpful, our 2nd floor housekeeper was always friendly, smiling and up for a chat. We also got a nice bottle of sparkling wine in our room on arrival. The beach was great, we never had problems getting chairs, but occupancy was low. The water sports man will bring you a beach umbrella and secure it in the sand. There were only a couple of days the water was too rough for me to go in comfortably..Mother Nature, but other than that it was beautiful. You can walk easily to the Gap along the beach. We also enjoyed the pool, it's smaller but wasn't crowded, lots of loungers. The food was mostly buffet, with the ala carte open 3 nights a week. I found the buffet a bit limited and repetitive. The ala carte was enjoyable and the staff there were very accommodating. Overall the food was okay, we certainly never went hungry. We did go off resort for dinner a few times, Oistens, being our fave.We loved the pool/beach bar! We especially loved Morrison and Akeem(sp) the bar tenders. Nicholas also. Take some time to get to know them! You do have to buy bottled water, it's not included. There is a store across the street, or you can buy it from the bar. The tap water is fine to drink. You also pay for the in room safe, it will be on your bill when you check out.The evening entertainment was better than I expected, with a couple of good bands and some DJ's. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, we met some super people and had a ton of fun. The hotel is conveniently located, so walking, catching the bus or ZR van to anywhere was easy. We got the two week vacation for very good value, so we had a good idea of what to expect..(or not) We had some great adventures on the island, and I have to say BBC certainly met our expectations. We knew we booked a 3 star, so keep that in mind if you are expecting a 5 star. We had 5 star fun, we loved all the staff and would certainly consider returning for the same value.Oh, and check out the 4 tortoises in the garden outside the front door! Thanks BBC for a great vacation!
We reserve a king suite but arriving at the resort, our room was given to someone else so not available. They try to tell us that the Queen suite was the same and that they won’t charge us more for jt! It’s a down grade!!!!The A la carte restaurant was supposed to open on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday but was never open for the whole week! Buffet (smallest I’ve seen) all week, morning , lunch and dinner. Only instant coffee so don’t think they will serve you coffee! Bed was so bouncy it felt like a trampoline! Toilet was leaking so a towel had to be put around it all week. No pressure and hot water in the shower. We anyways only put the hot water on and we were always freezing in the shower. Smallest bar I’ve seen!!! Banks was good. It seemed that you are always bothering them. Book somewhere else!!!!
I wouldn’t be in a rush to book here - we were told it’s we’re the locals visit as it’s cheapThe food is good but limited but the whole place needs kicking down and re building The staff are moody - we are not complaining couple but one morning I went crazy (enough was enough)They will push and push - they don’t want you there and they will let you know all about it - everyone was complaining about itRudest Barbadians on the islandIt’s located well - $20 to st Lawrence gapRooms are clean but really just leave this as an end optionThe staff will ruin it for you
