We took our son there for his 10th birthday and he said it was "The Best Birthday" he'd ever had! The staff were very friendly from the minute we got there. When the receptionist was told that it was our son;s birthday, she and the restaurant staff gave him a special birthday greeting at dinner that night. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is exceptionally clean. Great getaway location and boogie boarding is a must for dads and sons to enjoy. We will be going back.
Room was dated, but clean and met my basic needs. Water in shower took a while to warm up and in the morning was difficult to regulate to a comfortable temperature. Staff were very helpful. Food was ok, but very little options for a vegetarian.
This was the worst hotel I've ever been to. We turned up and they didn't have a room for us. Then they found us one they didn't give us the type of room we had paid for. The whole place was dirty and you wouldn't even want to go into the swimming pool. It was all inclusive but it only offered 5trays of food, so all I ever had was potatoes for the whole week. Plus twice when came down for dinner the restaurant was closed so couldn't eat though nights. Also we asked reception to booked us into a restaurant for my dads birthday 6times and they never did it. It was awful. I can't believe this is a virgin and BA hotel. I would say never book it
If you would like a quiet clean no frills place to stay that is in a great location to walk to the Gap or Oistins this is a great choice. My wife and i spent Easter here and had an amazing time. Great people, nice beach close to everything would totally go back. ***If you are looking for fancy this and that, do not book here. this is for the everyday traveler who like supporting and being LOCAL. A good portion of the staff have worked here for years and really care about you and your experience but it is not a fancy resort so lets be done with the complaining.
We just got back from another stay at the Barbados Beach Club and had an amazing time. We certainly don't agree with the negative comments that are posted. We ate at both the buffet and at the second floor Reef View restaurant and the food was always delicious and varied. We had a beautiful ocean view room which was kept spotless by the staff. I also can't understand the negative comments about the unfriendliness of the BBC staff. Come on people, this is definitely not the case. They always have a smile and go out of their way to make our stay pleasant. I also don't understand people who post photos of a rusty pipe or a cracked tile. You don't realise the damage that this does to the reputation of resorts such as the BBC. If you travel with the intention of complaining, it would be best to just stay home. To those of you who read trip advisor before booking a trip, please don't believe all the negative comments and see for yourself. The food is great, the rooms are great, the view is great and the staff is great. We can't wait to go back. That you to everyone at the Barbados Beach Club.
