It was a nice friendly hotel but the food was a bit repetitive. We enjoyed our stay and goid lication for my huxband to go and watch cricket.See was quite rough in this area, swept both my husband and i off our feet along with many other people.
The hotel itself needs a major refurb, pool not too bad , food pretty poor , everyone so overlooked it's a joke. If you go there please feed the tortoises outside the main door in carpark , they live in a little closed of section but no one knows they r there . We took bananas and lettuce etc .. For them . Some of the Reception staff are friendly apart from the odd girl who doesn't want to help . No one ever in the middle bit of reception where you book all your trips . Whatever you do DO NOt use the Laundry service , all your clothes come back worse than they went in . Big stains , we fought with the receptionist over this as she did not beleive us . 3 times it happend . Laundry Very expensive so be careful ..pool bar staff were all moody apart from 1 young man , didn't get he's name , oh actually Morris was nice once u got to know him . Champers the restaurant is10 min drive which is lovely . Mamma lucias was nice . Best restaurant of all was a place called " Tapas " 10 min drive too ! We were on the 2nd floor near the lift and all u hear in the night is the lift pinging ! Breakfast was the best meal of the day I suppose . The door to the restaurant is filthy so don't touch it unless u have a hanky to open it with ! Wine is pretty crap , pina colada's are quite nice . Evening entertainment well there wasn't any at all apart from a Tuesday , show quite good but food is crap so don't bother , not cheap either !
We had a week off from the ship and chose to come to this hotel, it has a good size private beach which offers boat ride and water sports, the staff are lovely and so helpful, outside the hotel there are plenty of restaurants and bars, an amazing place to visit!!!!!
The place is very old and run by a team who do do care. The buildings NGOs are lacking maintenance, the fixtures and fittings have seen better days. The food for all inclusive so bland and bland and badley overcooked. It is truly a bad experience. Inclusive cost is an insult, bad wine, bad food, and nobody gives a damn really nobody gives a bloody damn. They have all worked here for so long, they do not see what kind of filthy hole they are running. British Airways and Virgin should get a grip, they do not look or they would drop this place. It could be ok but not with the current staff or chefs, they have all forgot what customers mean to them. Reception rude, not my fault, restaurant repetitive overcooked rubbish, bar local cheapest junk available. This place is not up to the standard of BA or Virgin lower end destinations, both airlines should take a share of the blame for filthy low standard offered. The room cleaning was terrible, the public facilities stank, when it rained, water poured in, in many places. The egg station for breakfast is a health hazard to behold, I have never seen such a filthy griddle and surrounds, by God it was gross. My other worst nightmare was the door to the restaurant by the pool, it was so greasy and dirty, no cleaning for years and nobody gave a damn. Come on BA and Virgin, drop this disgusting place before someone dies from food poison, or lack of maintenance. The building needs £1m refurb and staff that understand cleanliness and food preparation because at present nobody has a clue or gives a damn.
Visited this resort from the 3-8th Aug 2016. I must say my stay was excellent. Great food (especially lunch) clean environment and unlimited bar access. They also hosted my wedding, which were amazing and everything went smoothly. I had the best time there. I will always visit again.
