Stayed at the BBC hotel for two weeks from the 22/3/17 until 5/4/2017. We had a lovely holiday . We were a group of eight adults two couples celebrating their golden wedding. We were a bit apprehensive after booking and reading all the negative and bad reviews. All in all we really enjoyed lovely staff and our rooms were nice and large plenty of room for clothes . And kept clean if anything was not working the hotel staff made sure that it was fixed straight away. No problem getting beds or umbrellas on the beach or being served with drinks . Music most nights which we like rather than shows . Weather was amazing and good location to get to the main road for the local bus which was 1 US dollar either way . There are of course other hotels which charge a lot more than the BBC and would be far superior.Depends what you want to spend .We would return to this hotel anytime . The ala carte restaurant was brilliant which we could eat there three times a week. Hotel is kept very clean .
As usual it was relaxing. Not fancy, good wholesome food, clean rooms, on the beach, in a quiet residential area away from the noisy main road, easy access to the bus to town or anywhere you want to go! Until the next time!!!
An okay hotel! Was on a an all inclusive deal so food and drinks were on the house (at the designated areas) internet isn't that great! Hardly any signal in the room. Dinner/ lunch buffet was good but on Fridays they take orders from the pre decided menu and it takes ages for your food to get to you! The bar is nice though! Not fancy but on the beach with lovely blue Carribean water to give you company!
On arrival we were met by lovely staff and the room was very nice with a big bed (king size) good air con, really powerful shower but this had adjustable in pressure. Our room was on the 2nd floor and we over looked the pool and bar area this was also a stage area for the evening entertainment. They had little entertainment but what they had was pretty good, the steel band was the best although if you stay for a fortnight you will see the same things on week two, this is also how the meals worked. But saying all this we would love to return next year. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay, when you got to the restaurant you were are asked for your room number and then shown to a table which we thought was nice although some people might disagree. The young waitresses could learn to smile although they are all very polite and very attentive. The pool was cleaned daily and so was the pool area. This Hotel is OK if you are less mobile IE mobility scooter is OK as there are lifts to all floors, but to get on the beach you have to go down three stairs, to a beautiful white sand beach. We ate in the A la carte restaurant which was fantastic, imagine you are with your wife /partner the music is playing in the back ground, you are sitting having a lovely meal in a restaurant with the windows wide open and the sound of waves crashing on the beach below you, you will think you are paying 5 star price but this is only a 3 star, this was heaven. Then you can go down stairs to join other guests if you wish or just sit and have a drink from the bar where Morris is happy to serve your favourite tipple. In our view this hotel would not be suitable for young children as the pool is minimum 1 metre and also the sea has a very strong current. For me and this is the only very minor thing they could do to improve on at this Hotel is have someone making smoothies in the mornings with some fresh fruit, I love smoothies and really missed having them but it's a very minor thing.I hope this helps people to choose this Hotel and if you do we think you will be saying you want to go back because we are hoping to return. A very clean quiet hotel with fantastic, helpful staff. We cant wait to return
We stayed here for 10 days. The staff is good especially Steven .. the guy who gets your umbrella and towels daily and Sandra in the restaurant. We are early risers and like to grab a coffee at 6 am this was never a problem except for one day when Sandra wasn't working. We quickly learned that Sandra managed the dinning area and kept everything under control. When she was there everything ran smoothly. It is a 3 to 31/2 star hotel however the rooms were clean and we had no problems. The pillows need upgrading so if you have room bring one, also a coffee travel mug would be great to have the coffee in your room as they do not have a coffee pot in the room. Lots of sun screen. The ocean can get a little rough but we loved playing in the waves. You can walk to the cap or Oistins from here or take a bus for two dollars Barbados money. We got a lot of walking in both ways as well as enjoyed our beach walks. If you are looking to be entertained this isn't for you they have some nightly entertainment however it not much. The bar service is good .. no line ups. The food is ok I'd like to see a lot more fruit and vegetables on the menu. It's our second time there and we would go back.
