Nice hotel located back lanes of the road beautiful sea view from the room some are small some have kitchen I have got all paid option everything on the house small pool side with sea view breakfast dinner normal as per Carribean style friendly staff overall mix feeling
Got back this morning from a lovely 2 week stay here. I will start with the negative points which prevent me from giving it an excellent score! We always go all inclusive for the buffet system because I am a very fussy eater and with a buffet there is always something good for me to eat, however, we were forced to eat in the a la carte restaurant 4 nights out of the 14 and I was really disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food is well cooked and beautifully presented but the menu options are of course limited and I struggled to find anything I will eat, my husband absolutely loved it though. Second negative is the poorly trained and unsmiling staff. They are, I suppose, polite, but I am used to much more friendly staff who feel like friends after a 2 week stay. I own a cafe so I do know a little about customer service and how sometimes you have to force the banter and a smile, but they just don't! Now for the positives, lovely clean room with the most spectacular views of the sea, the pool and inland, absolutely fabulous. The beach is clean and quiet with plenty of Sunbeds and an umbrella on request but be warned, the sea is very rough!I thought the pool bar was lovely with loads of seating and I found the Moscow Mules perfectly lovely if a little varied depending upon which bar person was on duty!Lots of lovely guests to chat to, and the entertainment was certainly not the worst I've seen. It's a bit of a trek to the bus stop, it's not so far but the pavements, where they exist are a bit ropey! The small white mini buses are an exciting experience and for 2 Barbados dollars, you can go anywhere, we loved them. It's an expensive island, prices compare with the UK and you have to be a bit careful as they like you to pay in US dollars but give your change in Barbados dollars so you lose every time!Be careful in the sun! That may sound simple advice but I've been to many hot countries and never burned as I did on the first day on the beach there, that wind lulls you into a false sense of security! Would we stay again? Most certainly after I have completed my list of the other islands
This is a 3 star resort at best. Hotel is tired and dated, but clean and everything works ok, well ... except for the hot water in my room. I did not have a hot shower for the first 4 days. They kept trying to fix it and gave me reasonable reasons why it was not working but never offered another room, ,until I finally demanded another room. Resort was not too busy and and one could find plenty of sun loungers, despite the elderly Brits trying to reserve the best spots early in the morning (this is not the Costa del Sol in Spain so you don't have to fight the Germans for them here..hahah!). The beach is right on the hotel and plenty of room with a very nice, clean beach. Room was ok but poor, hard pillows, but the toilet was behind the bathroom door at weird angle. TV in room had a reasonable selection of channels and my wifi worked ok. The food was really not that good as noted by others. Plenty of it but bland, and poorly prepared stodge. Every couple of days they shunt you upstairs to the a la carte restaurant instead of the single line buffet. The food there was much better, but it is a small restaurant and when I finished my meal there was a large line of people waiting to eat. I'd hate to see what it's like if the hotel is busy! They must know about this but somehow think it is satisfactory to make their customers wait like this! The pool bar was just ok with a poor selection of drinks unless you like rum. The quality of the mixing was terrible. Between the different bartenders it was a lucky dip. The most experienced guy, Maurice, mixed the worst drinks, go figure. I was a guest on local business and was hosted here, which I appreciated, but if it was me, I would never pay myself to stay in this resort. there surely has to be better on the island for the price (there certainly is in the Caribbean). I note a previous comment mentioned about no one smiling. I have to agree. They are not 'unfriendly' just not really over-welcoming or friendly. It does give the impression that they are unhappy with their lot. It's a shame. With a little oversight and attention to detail they could certainly make the stay more pleasant. At the time of writing I have 273 reviews from around the world. If you want a luxury all inclusive, this is not it. Not bad but try Mexico if you want luxury for the same price or less.
I stayed in this hotel for 5 days and did not really like how the hotel staff treated me. There are no smiles coming out from most of its staff and felt rudeness from them all throughout my stay. Food is terrible. They serve swordfish almost every lunch and it's not really swordfish, it's barracuda! The hotel management should put the staff in an extensive hospitality training....
Yes the resort is older but very nice Its the smallest one I have stayed at,but that's what we liked about it Lots of options for foodpictures of resort looks like beach is small but there is lots of room for everyone Rooms are clean and very niceThe staff are very nice and helpfulOne A La Carte but the food was greatMy husband and I went with 7 other peopleWe would stay there again
