If you are a young person and want to have a good time, this is not the resort for you. Needs a lot of renovation and is at best a mom and pop type of "resort" The people who work in the establishment are very nice and friendly, but it definitely gives you a vibe of staying at your grandmas house or worse. I went with my friends during crop over and of course we went to parties and the Gap. Coming home at like 2 in the morning we would find the doors closed and you would have to knock on the door to be let in. Never in my life have I seen that at a resort. The food was not great, medicore at best. If you got to lunch for example late there would be nothing left and they wouldnt restock. If you got there early sometimes they wouldn't be ready. The bartenders were nice and the drinks were good. They have no motorized sports so if you wanted to jet ski for instance you would have to go the the resort beside the beach club to get jet skis. The rooms were clean but they need to update the furniture and decor, very old fashion. This resort needs a new paint job and expanision. If you want more of a family type of resort that is fairly small then this is the place for you.
Loved it, very quirky peaceful hotel in Barbados, the beach near by is beautiful beach bar sells lots of drinks only stayed here two nights but loved our stay. Beds comfy, air con great, rooms spacious, hotel pool fine and clean. Sea view is stunning
Went on a mini two night break with the parents. Resort was very quiet but we had a great time. Had rooms on the fifth floor with balconies facing the ocean which were great to wake up to in the morning and to see the sunset in the evenings. The rooms are dated but sizeable and clean and the bathrooms were also good size. There is a safe which is US$2 a night to use, a good selection of hangers, and an iron and ironing board in the room. There is also a decent sized fridge but no kettle or microwave.Since the occupancy was quite low there was a mixture of a la carte and buffet menu offerings over the three days. The food was excellent at every meal. The first evening was a a buffet barbecue dinner with grilled fish, barbecue chicken and fish and a range of a sides. Breakfast and lunch the next day were a la carte with a small but varied selection and the staff were very accommodating with our requests for a couple of substitutions. We also tried the a la carte restaurant for dinner on the second evening and the food again was top notch. Lots of fresh fish available at every meal and very well prepared. The beach is relatively small and the water a bit rough but if you walk a bit further on to the Sandals beach it is much bigger and calmer... Only downside is you can't use their sun loungers. The hotel pool is small as well and there are not that many sun loungers but as the property was not busy it was fine for when we stayed and we chilled and lounged by the pool both days. The bar is well stocked and a wide range of cocktails, spirits and other drinks are available Overall it was a very relaxing mini break and the high standard of food was a unexpected and very welcome bonus.
I was worried about the hotel being a 3 star & when I got there, I think there was ony 15 rooms occupied is what people said, but I hear it was the time of year I went. The hotel was actually quite nice & totally fine, rooms were clean & normal. The food was AMAZING & the unlimited drinks were great! The staff was very nice, fun & sociable & overall I would definitely stay here again!
Stayed in this hotel in March we came to watch England play the West Indies at cricket. The rooms are clean and yes a little dated. The room has a safe which you have to pay for also a fridge and a hairdryer. Are room was on the 3rd floor which had a great view of the beach. The food is good but not too many choices but what there is has been cooked well also they do a good Sunday roast. Only 1 bar in the hotel but has a good selection beer served by the bottle and the wine is also out of a bottle it also has a good selection sprits and lots of choice of cocktails. The beach is amazing with plenty of free beds and umbrellas (just tip the guy in the hut and he will look after you the whole holiday) you also get and exchange your pool/beach towels here. Don't believe the bad reviews it's a well run hotel in a perfect position .
