Coconut Court Beach Hotel
- What's Included
First understand this is a 3 star hotel. Dont go here expecting Ocean 2 quality. The room was okay, clean with a decent shower with loads of hot water. I had no issues staying here for the four days I was there as I just sleep there or have a late lie in. Regular, not occasional issues with towels as they would clean the room and leave face cloths. I found this so annoying. Each time I called asking for towels which resulted in one evening me having to call three times till i just went out and they were their on my arrival. I do understand house keeping has a hard job which i respect and I always tip the Housekeeping staff and for the first i did not. It is not their fault but usually somewhere along the line in logistics there had been a fault. Consecutive, as it happened on three out of four days. My hotel balcony opened to the seas and was beautiful on evenings. Really nice place to shoot the breeze and have a smoke. I did not enjoy the facilities as it is not my thing but i ventured onto the beach which was nice.Did not eat or drink whilst there so can't comment on Coconut Court Cuisine, but $10.00 for a hot cappuccino was indeed steep, had no interest in trying the food. My queen did not complain as that is all she wants on mornings.Lovely bar staff always smiling and eager to assist. Security is 24/7 and they are very mannerly and open for questions as reception is tucked away. I hope you have a strong back as I checked in with luggage and there was no one there to assist as loads of stairs to climb. No Porters. Not cool.....I was assisted by security in taking them up. Thanks to the security lady that was on that night. Really appreciated that. Fantastic sports bar with happy hour opposite the hotel. Good place to people watch and shoot the breeze with their wifi. GOOD NORMAL PRICES , Excellent bartenders. Down the street, little store to get the daily paper and knick knacks right beside the roti pace. Barbados is always the bomb. Usually I go by recommendation but winged it with coconut court. Nice hotel but I would not stay there again. We enjoy luxury but this was mediocre and it does state it is a three star.
This hotel is well located, offers wonderful service and has the most welcoming people around!Rooms: All rooms face the ocean, are clean with room service everyday (if required) and is spacious enough for two people. Let it be known that you won't be spending much time there since it rarely rains for long periods of time on the island. I would recommend taking a room at ground level since the stairs can be slippery after a short rain. Since I am a little sensitive to the air conditioning, my husband and I opted to leave our doors opened on the balcony. The temperature was just fine! As a bonus, we were lulled to sleep by the gentle surf and whistling frogs.Restaurant: There are two main areas to eat. The dining area serves a wonderful breakfast, lunch à la carte and BBQ, and great suppers! On some nights, the hotel holds a huge BBQ by the pool area. On those nights, for about $30.00, you can have all you can eat from 6:30 to 9:30. Believe me, don't eat. ANYWHERE ELSE! The food is awesome! I don't know what they do to their steaks but I think my husband had four! You can also opt to eat by the beach where a few tables are gathered along with many picnic tables. Antonio, will take very good care of you there, I assure you! Both restaurants have a happy hour at noon and in the evening and serve the best rum punch! The service is prompt and delivered with a smile. This was our second time at this hotel and I didn't think it was possible but it's actually become even more tasty. A great addition was the new espresso machine that made amazing coffee!Beach: The beach had a small man-made reef that broke the waves creating a great lagoon to snorkel. There were more than enough lounge chairs and no jellyfish were seen. Pool: I'm not much of a "pool person" but did enjoy the jacuzzi pool a few times. The whole area was clean and a monkey was seen no too far away.I would also like to mention the great help given to us by Vida (sp?) at the activities desk. She had a vast knowledge of the island's attractions and helped us make our vacation extra special.During our stay, only one issue was encountered. On one night, we decided to use the air conditioning and found that it didn't work. We were given another room for that night since it was quite late and everything was functional the very next morning. What service! It was with a heavy heart that we left and vowed to come yet again!
I am the manager of an over 40s cricket team that stayed at the Coconut Court recently. All 20 of us loved the hotel and the staff, we could not have asked for more. Our trip was 3 years in the planning so we needed everything to be perfect to ensure that our efforts were not wasted. They were not wasted, fantastic time was had by all. The rooms, bars, restaurants, beach and staff were all top notch! We presented a plaque to Shira at the end of our stay to show our appreciation for being so well looked after, Shira immediately placed it on the wall in the reception area, a lovely gesture. Many thanks to the staff of the Coconut Court, many great memories will live on for years to come.Regards,Lindsay - Revesby Workers Cricket Club
What a great spot. It's not fancy, but it's very clean, located on a gorgeous stretch of beach, and, along with traditional hotel rooms, it offers suites in several apartments across the street, which meant we could put our toddler to bed, shut the door, and enjoy the lively and appealing vibe of the evening on our big patio. The pools are great, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the neighbourhood is really cool- not quite as touristy as the neighbourhoods to either side, but close enough to access whatever you need. We had an awesome time, and are already plotting our return!
This is our second visit. I have no interest in ever going anywhere else. The hotel is so very comfortable. The staff all care so much. The beach is perfect, they have nice music most nights by the pool. the shuttle service and the complimentary breakfast you receive if you book directly with them is a very good value. If you have mobility issues, ask for a lower level room. The rooms are so new and modern, and the grounds are clean and well maintained...our favorite spot on the beach is beneath one of the seagrape trees, close to the charming bar where you can either drink or eat, so you dont have to break up that beach day at all.the clientele you will meet are very varied...older couples such as us, lots of families, and young couples...Its certainly our place, we truely Love it.
