Coral Mist Beach Hotel
- What's Included
Last visit was 6 years ago with children this time we have returned alone.Love it here lots of the same staff special mention to reggie and Liverpool and the lovely lady security who I had some lovely chats with ,and all the lovely friendly reception ladies.Room kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping everything you could need for self catering and a better location right on the beach you could never find.We even had a beautiful fruit and wine basket in our room on arrival for our wedding anniversary. We will be back and we won't leave it 6 years again our favourite place ever hope to return for many years
My family and I stayed at The Coral Mist for a couple of weeks recently. The rooms / hotel was quite basic but in a good way. The location was spot on. We had one of the best beach spots on the island. We travelled all over and were convinced that we were in one of the best places. Only a short walk to the local supermarket, Mojos restaurant and the Gap :-)We went for morning walks along the bay each day and got a good work out in the waves! The boardwalk is just around the corner which was really nice and offered a good alternative to the bay. The water is a BEAUTIFUL colour. The rooms were a great size and had all the essentials. The air con was fab on the odd occasion that we needed to close the doors in the evening due to there being no breeze - otherwise we kept the double doors open. The rooms and hotel were kept incredibly clean and the housekeeping staff were great. The hotel staff never seemed particularly happy which was a bit of a shame but they did leave a bottle of fizz in the fridge when we arrived because it was my birthday - this was such a wonderful touch and we really appreciated the thought. The beach facilities were a bit basic, the lounger covers were very tatty but umbrellas and loungers were available every day and a lovely guy was on hand to help put them up.They also have free wifi, although the signal was a bit patchy it did suffice for the two weeks!
Ran down and needs to be renevated badly. The refridgerator was rusted and mold is all in the shower. The super 8 looks better than this. The only thing nice about Coral Mist is that the ocean was right outside our patio. I will never stay here again.
We stayed here for 4 nights and the service was generally friendly and accommodating. The bathroom was old but the room itself was clean and had everything we needed (even to watch the Patriots play off). The AC did not run strong which was not a problem when we went in the winter but could be in the hot summer months. The balcony of our room overlooked the beach and it was serene and private. This section of the beach is really pretty and we even took the hotel kayak out and snorkeled around a nearby coral- spotted a giant sea turtle, so cool!
Paid upgrade for one bedroom suite but ended up in Superior room on ground floor next to sea where the crashing waves kept us awake most nights. Asked to be moved but hotel full. Management never offered again during 10 nights stay. Problems with fridge freezing all salad in salad drawer and even froze milk in fridge drawer. Took days to sort out by hotel, but no reimbursement for lost goods. Lack of sunbeds and brollies for shade meant we had to put sunbeds out before 7am to guarantee shade on beach. Will definitely not be returning to Coral Mist after this experience.
