We just returned from 10 days and our trip was perfect! The staff is what makes this place work, from great job of the grounds crew and housekeeping staff, to the excellent service in the restaurants, to the friendliness of the bar and front desk staff. Such a great team you have to be proud of. The food was excellent; both in quality and variety. We never had the same meal twice. The room was cleaned promptly each day and most importantly, the bed was comfortable. We stayed in the garden view area, 2nd floor. While not ocean view we did enjoy the shade/view of the trees and the privacy they bring. There was noise from the busy street behind so if a light sleeper you may want to pack some ear plugs. The plus side of being so close to a main street is that it's easy to catch the bus to town, which we did several times. We were able to snorkel right from the beach and saw a variety of fish. I would suggest you take water shoes if wanting to snorkel since the best fish to see tend to be around the rocky areas (or use flippers that can be provided by the beach staff). We never had an issue with finding beach or pool chairs but the hotel wasn't full either when we were there. The water taxi is a fun way to see the sister resorts. We got off at the Colony Club one day and it has beautiful grounds but not as nicely maintained as the Crystal Cove. Since Colony Club is not an all inclusive we didn't stay long so after walking through it we went into Holetown for a bit before returning to it to get back on the water taxi. You can also take the water taxi to the Waves and in low tide you can walk to it in about 15 minutes. The Waves resort is a more modern layout (which is not our preference but some may prefer it). Waves is part of the all inclusive so we walked there for breakfast one day (you could also make a dinner reservation if you wanted but the food was so good at the Crystal Cove we didn't see the need to go anywhere else). We rented a car one day, an interesting experience since the roads are not well marked. After getting lost we followed the signs "To City" and those all lead to Bridgetown. Once there we were able to find out way to Turtle Beach where we had lunch (sister property part of the all inclusive, just take your hotel ID cards). We found Turtle Beach to be a nice resort as well. A good layout for families traveling with small children since there is a variety of pools there with various depths and an ice cream shop! The beach is beautiful at Turtle beach and adjacent to the Sandals however I suspect the surf could be a little rough since it's facing the south so likely more red flag days there than a Crystal Cove. Anyhow thanks to everyone on Crystal Cove team who made our anniversary vacation so very special. We really appreciated the hard work you do to ensure everyone has a great time.
My husband and I visited this resort as the last part of our honeymoon. We were greeted on arrival with a glass of rum punch (amazing!), shown to our room where there was also a chilled bottle of bubbles ready and waiting for us. The room was small but ideal, though it could do with little a bit of updating/sprucing up, regardless it was clean and tidy and cool! The weather for the most part was hot and humid and a bit of rain here and there which never spoiled a single day of sun-soaking! My only gripe would be the sun bed issue! As usual at 7am you could hear all the people dash to claim the best beds in the best spots day after day, for heavens sake! There are hundreds of beds on the beach and they still come out with drinks and all the treats as they do by the pools - I don't get it! The food was nothing short of excellent and the drinks were plentiful and tasty! All in all we had a brilliant time and would definitely come back one day!
This is our families third time back to the Crystal Cove in as many years and it didn't disappoint! From the warm welcome to the delicious food and the "little bit extra" which is always given by all the staff. We have travelled extensively over the years, with and without our children and have never experienced the genuine smiles and cheerfulness of the staff here, nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble. A special mention must go to Devon who served us drinks round the pool whist we watched the sun go down (he even remembered what we drank - madness)! Also to Leeta the Concierge who managed to nab us 4 cricket tickets and had them delivered to our room. Our waitresses, Sandra and Dawna were fantastic. To top off the trip we were lucky enough to witness baby turtles hatching not once but twice - an amazing experience! We stayed in the one bedroom loft room and it is superb - we have 2 teenagers so this layout of us upstairs and them downstairs, with 2 bathrooms works brilliantly - can't wait to go back next year! Thank you guys, The Smith family.
What a wonderful hotel.... Stunning beach, amazing staff and fantastic food. We stayed here after a week in Vegas and it was the perfect way to relax. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff who genuinely care.We will defiantly return ..
We decided to stay at Crystal Cove for our belated honeymoon, one year after getting married. The location, hotel, ambience and staff are faultless. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone made us feel very welcome and special. The variety of restaurants and bar areas catered for every occasion, formal and beach wear and the swim up Cave bar is an unique setting. The air-conditioned Vista bar gave a welcome break on hot, humid evenings, offering tapas snacks with our drinks. Our fabulous room overlooked the lovely gardens and spectacular Caribbean, a mere 1 minute walk to the pristine beach, very safe for swimming, along with a good selection of free water sports. Most evenings offered excellent entertainment, whilst we ate dinner and for those who like to keep fit, the hotel offers a well-equipped fitness centre.Overall, we had a superb holiday and cannot praise this hotel and staff enough! - We will definitely return and would highly recommend it.Keep up the great work, Steve + Shama :)
