My husband and I traveled from Toronto to Barbados to celebrate my 40th birthday, and it truly was a trip of a lifetime. We were lucky enough to stay at the Fairmont, where everything was just perfect. Even before we arrived, I had been emailing with Kevin Maynard, the front office manager, about arranging for surfing lessons. He was prompt, polite and arranged for me to have an amazing experience surfing with Dread or Dead. As soon as we arrived, Kevin was there to welcome us and get us settled in, including surprising us with an upgrade to a junior suite! I can't even put into words how gorgeous the suite was - a walk out onto our own lounging area with stunning views of the ocean. We were completely overwhelmed! Kevin also saw to it that we had all our meals arranged for the entire duration of our stay, and had an itinerary outlining everything delivered to our room so we knew exactly what we were doing and when. The restaurants he booked for us were unbelievable, and he even arranged a special birthday surprise at our dinner a the Tides. My husband and I truly felt like royalty! We ended our trip with the manager's cocktail party and the loveliest buffet dinner at the Palms restaurant at the Fairmont - an absolutely perfect way to finish our trip. We could never thank the staff at the Fairmont - and especially Kevin - enough for their kindness, thoughtfulness and attention to detail during our stay. An absolutely perfect piece of paradise!
We took our mom here for a girls week/mothers day present and from the second we entered the hotel to the second we left we felt like princesses. Greeted by Chantel at front desk, she checked us in and escorted us to our room. On the way she pointed out all the restaurants, the pool, tennis courts and beach access. Once in the room she explained how to work the air conditioning, where to find amenities like coffee, robes, iron etc. and pointed out the on beach activities from the balcony. She hit every point that we may have had questions about and gave us a true genuine Fairmont welcome. Once on the beach all of the employees made sure we were comfortable at all times, bringing us long beach towels, offering refreshments and always passing with a friendly hello. A big thank you to Ryan and Romario at the Beach Club for setting us up on paddle boards and giving us first timers a quick lesson, and for taking us swimming with the turtles, really made our trip memorable to be able to see turtles and all of the fish. We ate at Taboras every day for breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. I cant mention just one or two employees because they were all so awesome, from the hosts remembering our name and greeting us by name every visit, to the servers remembering our preferences and being quick and friendly. Best service and extremely appreciated. Also to mention the friendly service at the Beach club from the servers when we ate lunch a couple times on the beach! The room itself was very cute, well air conditioned and had a beautiful balcony, House keeping kept the room spotless on days we requested service and the water from turndown was well appreciated. We have stayed at many Fairmonts and this location offered a beautiful setting, amazing property and unforgettable service, we cant wait to return!
I have been coming to RP for several years but this year was made extra special by Ryan from water sports. Most of the time I have to use a wheelchair to get about and waterports do not feature normally on my list of things to do....however..this year Ryan made this possible and with my friend Lynne and Ryan we headed off on the open seas in a hobi-cat!! What a brilliant experience.Ryan is such a kind an generous person a true super star...thank you Ryan for making this holiday one to remember
We were renting a villa at Sugar Hill and used our day passes to enjoy the beautiful beach at The Fairmont Royal Pavillion. We have travelled all over the island and honestly believe that this is the most beautiful beach that we encountered. I absolutely can not fault this beach/beach bar. I have to say a special THANK YOU to Ryan, Mario, Kerry, Simone and Veronica to name a few!! They all made us feel welcome, relaxed and we really did not want to leave. The service, food and water-sports available here were exceptional. There is something else I'd like to point out and that is that this beach is so quite and relaxing that at times myself and my husband were the only two on it. So incredibly rare that I actually recorded the sounds of the ocean whilst we slept and I now listen to it at night whilst I sleep.THANK YOU to everyone we came across that made our holiday one to remember. We will be back and I KNOW you will remember our faces!! Incredible place - Incredible people Lauren and James
We have stayed in a few hotels across Barbados and really enjoyed our stay at the FRP. Room was spacious, pool was nice and the beach front location was amazing.Only negative was the food was a bit samey and not much choice on site. But it is the west coast and there are loads of great places to go and eat.We had two young children and the hotel staff were really nice and friendly.
