Excellent value, perfect location. Self-catering units right in South Gap, very close to popular restaurants and nightclubs.

Location: St. Lawrence Gap, 20-minute drive from Grantley Adams International Airport. Golf course nearby (20-minute drive), and beach nearby (5-minute drive).

Customer Care at its Best ...

I love staying at the South Gap Hotel, the friendliness of the management and staff is exemplary. Even before I arrived from the the Uk they kept me up to date of all that was going on at the hotel.My partner & I came over for the 50th anniversary celebrations in Barbados, and the South Gap Hotel seemed the ideal place to stay, as it was in close proximity to all that was happening on St Lawrence Gap.When we arrived, we were given a gift for our loyal custom. Nice touch!We only stayed for a week or so, but it was enough for all the island celebrations.Looking forward to returning again once the refurbishments are completed in August 2017 ... all the best to a great - and hardworking - team!

Great hotel, terrible soundproofing

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a trip with friends and had a very mixed bag. The staff were awesome, the location is near restaurants and not terribly far from the beach (though note there is not beach access from the hotel itself), and we loved the pool area. However, the rooms that are not on the pool level (which are pricier) are SO LOUD all night long due to karaoke from next door. My husband didn't sleep at all. We asked the front desk if we could move, but they said it was sold out other than a much more expensive option. We were not willing to pay the extra charge, so bought ear plugs instead. In all, I would not recommend the regular rooms to light sleepers or those looking for an earlier bed time. The suites seemed to be the much better situation here. The lady at the front desk did say the hotel would be closing for renovations--I can only hope they add serious sound proofing. Too bad next door's business ruins a great spot.

Super-loud music from next door

It felt like I was in a club. I was there for one night so maybe I got unlucky. Otherwise it was fine - welcoming staff, comfy bed. But I just didn't get any sleep, which was really really frustrating!

Excellent time there. Staff was helpful and friendly. For example, Lana in housekeeping, Avery from maintenance, Analee front desk along with Tennille and Tashawn and Carl from security were all helpful and very cooperative. There are no words to example how I was treated. The staff was wonderful and I know anyone staying at South Gap and lucky enough to meet these workers are all in good hands. Looking forward to my next vacation at SOUTH GAP.

South Gap Hote

Hotel was what I thought was situated in an ideal location - however we had an early night on our first night there only to be kept awake from the LOUD Karoke and Live Band then party from 10pm to 4am only to realise that it is every night. My partner said it felt like the room was moving from all the music and when if finally stopped, we still felt wired awhile after from all the noise.Everything else about the hotel was great, reception helped us look for alternative accommodation, all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The pool and view was gorgeous especially in the evening and the cocktails and food was YUMMY!!!If you want somewhere to party all night this is the place for you, if you want to sleep - ask reception to put you as far as possible away from the noise - er I mean music :-)
