great hotel, good value, great location. ticked all our boxes. We had an apart/room which came along with kitchenette which was really handy. Spotlessly clean and a great size for 2 people with everything you needed for your stay.
Stayed here 3 nights in studio apartment.Positives. ---- spotlessly clean room. In very good location with metro station almost at door. Small supermarket a short walk away. Walking distance to main squares and attractions. A number of bars and restaurants close by.Negatives ------ The area appears drab and in need of a good clean by day although appears much more attractive and lively at night when restaurants and bars are open. The room was very small and cramped. Have stayed in studios before but none as small as this! The large window opened onto a large courtyard where people go to smoke so no real privacy unless window closed and block out curtains closed which made the small room feel claustrophobic. This room was also close to the double entrance doors to the building and the vending machine, this made the room very noisy with people coming and going. No housekeeping included with a 3 night stay, which is fine if the towels were not almost threadbare.Tip--- if you are allocated room 3016, ask for another room.
Very convenient as a tourist, 15 min walking distance to many attractions. Ended up going to the Grand Place alot during our stay. There is a nice organic grocer next door, as well as many good restaurants in the area.Serviced apartment was also right outside the metro and made travel very convenient.
The hotel is well located in a nice square. Convenient. Access with subway, almost in front. Organic market around, lot of restaurants with various choices nearby, bars...I took the studio for my work in January and February 2 or 3 nights per week for six weeks. So I have tried different studio rooms. The quality varies. I had once a room with an uncovered electrical plug. Another room, the water was difficult to evacuate from the bathtub. I even felt down because it was very slippery. Another room, the toilet was very smelly, obvious problem with the pipe. I almost vomited. Another room, the telephone unit was broken.Overall, if it was better maintained, it could be a good choice. An excellent point is the politeness from friendly staff. Another good point was the price deal that I got.
Our studio room (#1217) overlooked the rue du Bois a Bruler - but as long as we closed the window properly at night, it was really quiet. It was great to be out of the bustle of the touristic centre, all the while only a few minutes' walk away from it. The metro is right outside the hotel, with only 1 change to get to the gare du Midi and Eurostar.Glad to find that dishwashing liquid and a sponge was provided!
