Husa President Park
- What's Included
It was my second stay at this hotel. My first stay was some 4 years ago. The hotel is 5 star in terms of its reception area, rooms, cleanness, service, internet wifi. The breakfast is good but nothing special. However I ate twice at the hotel restaurant and on both occasions the food was excellent. Its price is 'normal' for Brussels. The waiters at the restaurant and the receptionists were helpful at all instances. The only drawback for the hotel is its location, some 25 minutes walk from the Gran Place centre. I would stay again at this hotel.
Worst hotel I have stayed in my whole entire life. The structure is really nice, but I had a few issues since my arrival. At first they charged me 10 euros just to be checked in one hour earlier. Did not appreciate it but needed a shower so I ended up paying. At night I wanted to order a pizza, I asked the receptionist for help because I do not speak any dutch and I figured that Domino's attendants would not speak english. Even asking for help I was told to call myself from the room, so I have tried several times. No success. The attendants could not understand me enough to finish my order. I could not get the pizza after a few attempts and went to bed starving to death. On the next day, when I went to the reception to check out, I was told I was being charged 5 euros for the couple of local calls I tried to make to order the pizza. Politelly I explained what happen and I also told the locker in the room was not working, so they could compensate and make it even. I also told there wasn't any information about charges for local calls anywhere. They denied to cancel the charge at first and I had to wait for the manager or the person in charge at the moment. So this really rude lady called BARBARA came up and kept denying to cancel the charge and said I had to know about the charges. But how am I supposed to know especially if its not written anywhere? After a long argument she ended up canceling it. When I went outside to wait for my Uber, the few receptionists started laughing and talking loud bad things about me behind my back. Even though I was outside they were talking so loud that I could hear everything. I came back inside and Barbara was laughing at my face and making fun at the situation. I started to argue at all of them again saying how wrong was what they were doing to clients and I was even told "Go back to your country" by the black dude wearing glasses. That is by far the worst experience I had at hotels in my life, and all of this because of 5 EUROS. I would never recommend this hotel. Does not worth the price.
I arrived early (about 9:30 a.m.) so room, as expected, was not ready. Told it would be ready about 2 p.m. Desk clerk gave me a staff desk and internet access so I was not left with nothing to do. Room was ready a little after noon and the hotel was very busy for the two nights I was there. Room had good desk and internet and was well laid out. Easy 8 minute walk from North Station (8 Euro from the airport to this station) and if you want to eat cheap there are plenty of places at the train station and there is a market within a block of the hotel.
Great, big room, very clean and quiet. Breakfast at the hotel was a real treat. If you're traveling during summer, you can sit in a very cute garden terrace. Also, good location, we walked from the city centre. Not very happy with the whole wireless internet situation- wasn't very good, but overall had a good experience. Haven't encountered any of the problems mentioned by other reviewers.
The hotel is rated 4 star but i feel it is no where close to it at least in regards to the room i am staying in. Stayed on the first floor room no 1139, which was right opposite to a meeting room which they give to corporates, there is too much noise during the day because of the meetings that are held by different companies. The "Free" internet sucks in the room too slowIf you choose not to clean the room they will give you a 5 Euro voucher which you can redeem at the hotel bar. However what surprise me was that they do not change the bed sheet even when you tell them to clean the room and do not even come to check if you require necessary soap and other things. You might have to call and tell them to provide you. So my advise is tell them to clean the room everyday. For people traveling with kids there is a park behind the hotel which is like 200 meters walk and also has a grocessory store. However there is no microwave in the room to heat your food. The room has coffee maker and dont' expect channels with english language. Hotel is located near Brussels Nord station so you can walk like 7 mins and you shall arrive at the station which will help you to reach any tourist attraction or reach the place you want to go in a public transport.Overall the experience is not so good in regards to the price paid.
