Hotel check in was smooth, we were glad to hear upon arrival that we had been upgraded to the superior room having only booked into a standard. The room itself was huge and positioned on the corner overlooking the quiet square with the Atomium also in view. The only negatives that I would point out with the room was the space was not utilised to the best of its ability. The room as mentioned was huge, it was missing a sofa of some sorts, the lighting could have been better and the bed possibly bigger. I'm a regular stayer in Novotel's through work and I believe the bed in Brussels is smaller compared with other Novotel's I've stayed in.The hotel its self was modern and had an excellent swimming, sauna and gym facility. It was a selling point to us when booking the hotel and it was used everyday during the stay. An excellent way to unwind. The hotel was central to most areas of Brussels and had good local restaurants and transport links. We had room only, so couldn't comment on the breakfast/ other food options. We did have a couple of drinks in the bar however. Excellent array of Belgium beers to choose from. these were drank with the welcome drink voucher. another perk of the accor membership. And finally, the main reason why I'm rating this hotel 5*! As a platinum member of Accor there are certain expectations, preferential treatment as it were. my expectations were beyond exceeded in terms of late check out. We had a very late flight leaving Brussels and requested late check out. We were offered the room until 5pm with no fuss made. This is and was excellent! It meant we didn't need to rush around vacating the room early and sitting around waiting all day for the flight. We could take our time, relax and go at our own pace. Thanks Novotel!
I visited with my wife and 1 year old son for 3 nights in November. We arrived on Eurostar, 4 stops on the underground and 2 min walk later we were at the hotel in no time. We arrived after 11pm but had no problems checking in to our room. There was no cot, but this was brought in less than 5 minutes. The hotel is ideally located near the metro station and right near the centre of the city with plenty of restaurants and attractions near by.Breakfast is really nice, plenty of good quality food and a wide variety. Fruit, toast, cereals, juices, breads, cooked breakfast, meats etc. All very good quality.Hotel is clean and modern and a pleasure to be in. We enjoyed the swimming pool but it is a bit small, only space for a handful of people and too small to actually swim in. Gym and changing rooms are also nice. Room was large with a lovely bathroom and cleaned every day. Kids area is just a gaming console so better for older children. Books and toys for younger children would have been good too for when it rains. The only downside was the room we were given was right opposite major building works, taking place 7am - 11pm which made it difficult for all of us to sleep, especially our 1 year old. When mentioned to reception they did offer to change rooms but we decided not to with just 1 night left.Overall this is an excellent hotel and we would defiantly return, thank you!
Spent a week at the hotel and it was a positive experience.Location was plus as it was an easy walk to the Gran Plaza and the nearby sites. Easy to get to via metro or train via the Brussels North or Brussels Central stations.
Everything was perfect, friendly staff, nice room, perfect location. The only thing that made me upset , was the staff of the housekeeping which keep knocking on my door while the tag of ( Do not disturb ) was hanged up, to check the mini bar. And in the afternoon another staff came inside my room while I was sleeping asking for room cleaning while the tag still on the door. That was really strange and should not happen in any hotel.
Nice touristic hotel with good value for money.Well located in the centre of the city, it just lack of parking facilities which are anyway in the neighbourhood. Our room was spacious and modern furnished.
