Don't think I've stayed in a more charming place. Just darling! Staff was first rate, helped with taxis and reservations for tours and dining. Everyone was so nice. Location is very close to ferry landing and buses in Hamilton. Standard room was clean and spacious, very comfortable. Bed is very comfy. Room had windows on both sides, so we could see the pool/garden as well as toward Pitts Bay Road. We could see weather coming. Most rooms seem to have windows on both sides. Breakfasts were superb. Afternoon tea a treat. Weather was cool, but pool was heated. Would definitely return to Rosedon.

Home Away from Home

This hotel is just outside of downtown Hamilton across from the Princess Hotel. The hotel offers nicely appointed rooms that are kept clean. Breakfast is included and I loved to eat on the front porch where the birds (sparrows and Kiskadees) beg for some crumbs from your toast. They also have an honor bar, a delicious afternoon tea and rum swizzle party on Tuesday night. However, the best thing about this hotel is the service. Everybody makes you feel so welcome that it's like being at your home away from home.

fantastic time

it was fantastic I have travelled throughout the caribbean quite extensively and this is, by far, the most wonderful friendly hotel yet. Do not give this a miss. Wonderful everything. Bermuda, too, is the most beautiful of all the islands with grace and beauty at the forefront.

Full of Colonial Charm

I looked at a lot of hotels (and read a lot of TA reviews) before choosing the Rosedon. It did not disappoint. With an early March stay, the central Hamilton location provided great access to transportation, restaurants, and activities even in the off season. We took advantage of the bus/ferry system and that made reaching the outer edges of the island quite easy. The property and rooms have a colonial charm, but both nicely support business travel needs. Our room (83) was plenty large. We had 3 adults (2 in a king bed and 1 in a pull-out sofa). Space was not an issue. In addition to the sofa, the room had a desk as well as a separate table with 2 chairs. There was a nice-sized refrigerator. The bathroom vanity was large and it looked like the bathroom had been recently renovated. Shower pressure was good and hot water was never an issue (even with 3 in the room). The Rosedon has a good continental breakfast, and they can also cook to order. There are many very nice places on the property to eat breakfast. They are well configured to deliver it anywhere. There is a very nice afternoon tea each day from 4:00 to 5:30. They have pastries and sandwiches…much like a proper English tea. As others have written, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The back courtyard, which surrounds their heated pool, is secluded and lush. Keep an eye out for “Owen” the property’s orange tabby cat who roams the backyard “jungle”…he has a bad front and back paw, but apparently that was a birth defect…he’s very sweet and his bum paws doesn’t slow him down.

Wonderful Hospitality

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. All the staff are very friendly which adds to the charm and wonderful hospitality of this hotel. The location is ideal as I can walk to most things. They are currently doing renovations and it looks great. They are adding a restaurant which is good as it is the one thing that is missing. They had sent me an email a few weeks before my stay to let me know of the renovations and also called me the week before. They even offered to book me at another hotel if I wanted to due to the renovations. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and because I was there for business to ensure my business needs were met. I can't wait to return to Bermuda and the Rosedon. See you in December!
