The air conditioner was a bit noisy

I stayed two nights recently. It's very good location and surrounding is nice, that's how it should be because you pay high price for it. But the air conditioning system was too noisy during the night, did not sleep very well due to that.

Great stay

4 nights in the middle of everything. Friendly staff, beautiful views from corner rooms with floor to ceiling windows. Comfortable bed and spacious rooms. Within 15 mins walking to everywhere, harbor, beach, Stanley park, and all kinds of shopping and restaurants. Plenty of homeless in the neighborhood, but that's in any downtown area and not aggressive. $35 taxi ride to airport. Can't go wrong with this hotel.

In the Heart of Downtown

Our family of 5 visited Vancouver for 5 days. We had a 2 room family suite, 2 bedrooms, no living room, bar space with mini refrigerator, and 1 bathroom which was perfect for us. The rooms were clean and spacious. Nice view of the city. We found the hotel to be centrally located for the places we were visiting. The hotel does sit across the street from a hospital, some reviews describe too much noise from ambulances. This was not our experience, our room faced the other direction and we did not experience any troublesome noise. The concierge was friendly and helpful. This hotel is "green", rooms are serviced every 3rd day or can be waved for a $ voucher or SPG points back to the consumer; rooms have a compost container and recycling. Only issue we had was that the room originally seemed to be "stocked" for 3 guests vs our 5 guests, 3 bath towels and only 2 rolls of toilet paper, so we needed to ask for assistance prior to the 3 day mark. We would stay at this hotel again.

Amazing staff and location!

WE booked 2 rooms to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday. I am a platinum spg member but realize upgrades etc,,, are tough at peak times.The front desk asst manager really went out of her way to make our celebration an amazing one, as she sent goodies up to the room with a card wishing my daughter a happy #16. Thanks Ozzy!

Average while paying too much

Thumbs up:- South tower beautiful view w/ balcony- Location of the hotel & staffThumbs down:- Outdated rooms - Outside noise even on the 26th floor , HTL across from emergency clinic with many emergency ambulance sirens through the night & day.- Club lounge w/poor setup , slow toaster and not much food variation, more like a plane food- North Tower Bar had nice staff but very uncomfortable seating. I guess they do not want to keep people at their bar- Check in counters located at a corner with long lines- 4 elevators with long waiting time to get people up and down- Air condition outdated and loud once it goes on.
