Amazing stay and 36 hours in Vancouver!

Check In Check in, for the most part, was pretty simple. We arrived a little early so the friendly agent was kind enough to store our luggage, complete the check in process, and collect a telephone number for when the room was ready. She called us as promised within about an hour. One thing to note is the hotel is split into two towers both with check in desks. We unknowingly checked in at the opposite tower than our room. Not a big deal but it would’ve been helpful if the Sheraton could communicate ahead of time “check in at the South tower” if they anticipate your room will be in the South tower. One other small thing is that it would have been nice if they would have automatically taken our luggage to the room so that we didn’t need to wait for our luggage to be pulled from storage when retrieving our keys. Room and RateWe were in a two bedroom suite, room 2611. As I was traveling with another party, it made sense for us as we actually saved about $155 CAD with a two bedroom suite vs. two separate rooms. Since we were staying for two nights, we were able to take advantage of Starwood’s birth year promotion, which this hotel participates in subject to occupancy and availability. I would highly recommend looking into this if you are booking this hotel as it saved us $803 CAD (before tax) for our second night. Simply Google “SPG birth year rate” for more information. You will need to pay the full rate for night one if you wish to take advantage of the birth year promotional rate for nights two and three. The SPG confirmation and e-mail won’t adjust the rate for you at time of booking but, do not worry, it will be adjusted at time of check in once they confirm your ID. Our room was comfortable and certainly large enough where we didn’t feel like we were invading each other’s privacy. As advertised, the room was two bedrooms and included two full baths. One bedroom had a full bath attached; the other did not so the guest in that room had to use the hallway bath near the entry. While frustrating, this layout makes sense especially if you have another guest or visitor in your room that you plan to entertain as you likely wouldn’t want your guest to walk through your bedroom to access the restroom. The room also had a nice sized living space. As an SPG Gold, I was entitled club lounge access but, if you don’t hold status with SPG, the two bedroom rate includes club lounge access. The lounge serves a continental breakfast and both warm and cold hors d'oeuvres each evening (including weekends). The lounge also is adequately stocked with complimentary Starbucks Coffee, soft drinks, and bottled water. LocationAs a first timer to Vancouver, I wish this hotel was a little closer to the action (Gas Town, Yale Town, etc.), but the location itself wasn’t bad if you have the time to walk. As we were crunched for time (~36 hours in Vancouver), we wanted to maximize our time so we ended up taking taxis to and from the hotel to get where we wanted to go. Note Uber is not yet available in the city but, cabs were frequently waiting out front and all accepted credit card without an issue. The hotel is in walking distance (albeit a longer walk with luggage) to the Canada Line subway which serves the airport and Waterfront station next to Canada Place. Overall I would stay here again if the rate was right and the birth year promotion was available. No complaints about the room or service. Location and a longer walk to the sites wouldn’t deter me from choosing this property. I want to also thank the hotel who took notice that it was my birthday and provided a birthday amenity of macaroons and a bottle of white wine! Such a great touch!

Wonderful service

We spent one night in the North Tower. A minor medical emergency meant that my husband was hospitalised the following day. This threw our on- going travel plans into disarray. Even though we had checked out, the staff were very helpful. Special mention must go to Peter, who was compassionate and extremely helpful. Fortunately, we didn't need to stay the extra night that Peter kindly arranged for us. His assistance was much appreciated and will not be forgotten. We highly recommend Sheraton Wall Centre, Vancouver. Peter and Shireen Atkinson. Brisbane

Great hotel management team and centrally located. Perfect Canada Day weekend. Highly recommend.

Our stay at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Center was extremely comfortable and pretty much flawless. Under Ms. Stacey Mansfield's expert leadership, we witnessed an efficiently run property that delivered excellent customer service with the warmth, initiative, generosity, and friendliness that makes Vancouver such a special place. From our first interaction, the Sheraton Wall Centre's team was welcoming, thoughtful, and gracious. Despite a very busy and historic Canada Day weekend, the Sheraton Wall Centre's team (from management to team members) consistently delivered a high level of excellent customer service. We greatly appreciated Ms. Mansfield and her team's generous hospitality, thoughtful attention to detail, and expert management of her team's operations. We plan our trips down to every detail, and our trip to Vancouver was no exception. Before our arrival, Ms. Mansfield promptly responded to all our planning queries, no matter how big or small. This is a great help for us and a key indicator of the smoothness of our upcoming stay. Our Starwood status was well acknowledged. We were placed in a very spacious, comfortable, clean, suite with stunning views perfect at any time, but even more so for Canada Day weekend. Air conditioning and wifi connections are very important for us. Here, the air conditioning (at 17C) and wifi internet connection worked perfectly. Upon our late check in due to a flight delay, we were thoughtfully welcomed with hors d'oeurves and a warm message. These details make an enormous difference towards positive impressions of a hotel, its operations, and its city. The Sheraton team from the beginning to the end of our stay was universally friendly, capable, and efficient in resolving any questions. We deeply thank Ms. Mansfield, Ozzy Goksel (for the prompt, friendly, and efficient response to our question about the shower head), the very friendly and helpful house keeping associate, Andre from Valet parking for his warmth, friendliness, and courtesy to every guest we saw, the friendly and helpful housekeeper, and the friendly associate who checked us in. Sheraton Wall Centre is perfectly located. We were able to take the clean and fast train from the Vancouver airport to a few walking blocks from the hotel. It was perhaps a 5-7 minute pleasant walk from the subway station to the hotel. This hotel is within walking distance to great public transportation (bus and subway), museums, gardens, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, churches, and more. Thank you, Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. For these reasons and more, we would highly recommend the Sheraton Wall Centre to our friends and business associates. Based upon this visit, we will also return to Vancouver for future vacations (perfect as a central location from where we can explore other areas) and without question, stay at the Sheraton Wall Centre.

great location, excellent stay!

Just back from 2 nights in Vancouver. This is a great place to stay! Hotel is top notch, beds are super comfy, room is clean and nicely appointed. We were there on a deal, but still had a nice room with a view. We were in the North Tower. Service is excellent & friendly. Easy walk to the Art Gallery and Yaletown; a short taxi ride to Stanley Park. Just a block or two off Robson Street and all the shopping. Would definitely stay here again next time in Vancouver.

Centrally Located

Stayed here for two nights on a biz trip. I enjoyed the location, it's near Robson and close to many restos as well as a supermarket. Check in was swift and they upgraded me to a higher floor (thank you Gold status). The room was spacious and included a great, panoramic view of downtown Vancouver, flat screen tv, refrigerator, desk, king-size bed and standing shower. Free wifi is included. The design is contemporary and clean. There is a bar and restaurant on the lobby floor. The former has happy hour specials (with an extensive wine list) and the latter serves up tasty sandwich options including turkey BLT. Very friendly staff. There is an Sbux located in the South Tower. All in all, very comfortable stay and definitely recommend.
