Great place nice beach good food Nice people very good ambience attention to detail just a great place to visit Nice scenery will come back again don't forget to check out cartagena Nice night clubs restaurants just a nice place to go party have a great time!
Beautiful resort and very large and spread out and using a walker to get around with was a little daunting at first. The resort is built into the side of a hill with lots of stairs and ramps. The grounds were well kept and lots of flowering bushes and plants, very pretty. There were three pools and they were warm ( about 95 degrees) that my wife loved. We stayed at the # 2 pool by our room in Bldg. six that was quiet and low music with a small bar. This pool was 5 feet deep with 1 foot and 2 foot areas. There were lots of umbrellas and lounges that were in great condition. Our room was large with 2 queen size beds and a large washroom with a rain shower with lots of hot water. The view was of the ocean and river. The check in and out were the most efficient that I have ever seen. There were several restaurants, 3 al-la-carts with a buffet and beach snack bar. We are not al-la-carts people but other people we met liked the food there. We ate at the buffet mostly and lunched at the beach snack bar with fish and chips for me and chicken and chips for my wife. Great snacks and the service was friendly and efficient. The buffet food was delicious and different themes each night. I will eat just about anything and like trying new dishes whereas my wife is very picky but still found something to eat. Each day we went to the beach as it was a beautiful with lots of palapas and lounges but get there early if you want to be close to the bar and volleyball court. There were vendors on the beach that immediately got my shopping wife's attention. People we met with teenagers said that there was plenty to do for their teens. The animators were energetic and had lots of people up and participating in beach aerobics, beach volleyball, pool water polo and dancing to mention a few.Getting around was a challenge but keeps you in shape with all the ramps with my walker. I would usually take my walker down but occasionally take the golf cart back up. Transport was easy just ask one of the staff to call and arrange for a ride. The spa was really nice for a steam bath, Turkish bath or massage. and the gym was well equipped All together it was one of our better vacations.
the arrival at the airport could have been better arranged, the hotel it self has nice grounds, but many stairs to master, people with mobility issues will have a problem.Language communication is a bit of a problem, most guests are from south america.,the room was a good size ,clean and ac worked well, bottled water was provided by the maid every day, safe for the room costed 3$ a day.,very nice big pools, the hotel check in was disorganized, most employees wanted to help, snorkeling and diving was so-so,not much to see under water, food was ok some of there items pretentious like beef wellington-was not good, special restaurants like the italian i had the risotto-it was just pre-cooked rice,i had chicken masala in the asian restaurant,it was not like indian food, the sea food restaurant was very bad,the weather was hot around noon to 4 pm,we went to the bird Avery it was a bit disappointing
Rooms clean, sizeable, baloconies, glass showers.Buffet food with omelette, ceviche and Pad Thai stations superior. Each meal a different station.Great lounge chairs on beach. Beach is about 51/2' deep, sandy a few rocks, barBeautiful trees flowers, and iguanas, chameleons and birds.Checking in a little disorganized.Service staff except in lobby are Spanish speaking.Lobby bar makes good drinks. Not premium but name brand liquor.Big pools well designec
