Nice resort with iguanas walking everywhere, racoons walking in greens close to the beach, a lot of fishes in see. Clean rooms, clean pools, nice restaurants. Great food, tasty suchi in Asian restaurant, delicious pizza in Italian restaurant and good seafood restaurant. Frendly staff and helpful management . Beautiful beach and water. Professional entertainment . I stayed there with group of 12 friends, each of us have a great time. Thank you all staff to make for us memorable vacation. 😘We love Colombia
Stayed with my wife for three nights in December.Very good hotel, with great beach and close to playa blanca. You can walk there and it is a must during early morning before the boats with turists arrive.Minus was the food - regular but it is an all inclusive. One should not expect much...Recommend booking the thematic restaurants - there are three available só better to go there than dining at the main restaurant.
Just completed another great 2 weeks at Baru. Dirt road off the main highway to the resort is still a challenge. Check in was quick, although first room assigned was in building 3 too close to the lobby and main pool with lots of noise. Request for a room in building 2 was handled the next morning. This room however had air conditioning problems but again was moved to another room in building 3 but at the far end away from the lobby and was fine. Weather was perfect as usual. Meals were fine and always enough selection so never go hungry. Isla Putilla has been revamped and now the ferry takes you to the one side of the island and you enter by the vendors so you dont have to walk along the beach anymore, and as far a reservations go only really have to book at the dock when you go over. Met several staff we have gotten to know over the years who still work there. All staff at the buffet, lobby bar and pool bars were all excellent. Only real complaint is that knowing Canadians are coming this time of year is that there should always be at least one person at the reception who speak and understand english. Did a day trip into Cartegena which was great. Majority of people there were South American but still no problem getting chairs or umbrellas around the pools. A few one day sicknesses in our group but it passes quickly. Had 3 great meals at the Italian Restaurant, but was dissappointed with the Eurasian menu on New Years eve as it was a fixed menu. A few people complaining about all the stairs but it pays to review places before you go. We love the place and would go back again.
I went there to celebrate my birthday. I had a great time. They brought me breakfast in bed. They sing happy birthday at lunch with vallenato. The celebration continue at night time with the cake and signing. Every night they had a show. The capture every different music and dance the entertainment dept was to the top. Day and night so you were envolved in every activity. Islas del rosario is worth to see the ocean and how nice people are. The food delicious and the caring and concern from each and every member from that hotel is price less.
The price is absolutely ridiculous for the service and food you get (we payed around US$550/night for 2 adults). To be fair I have to say the hotel facilities are good and the service is average. The food is absolutely disgusting... This one is a NO go!
