Royal Decameron Marazul

Our OpinionRoyal Decameron Marazul is a bit out of town but still close enough to go in for shopping and nightlife. Although, with one of the best disco clubs on the island and a 24 hour dock-side open bar, you may not even have to go into town for entertainment. Watch a moon rise over the Carribean while listening to Creole music amidst a tropical ocean backgdrop! This resort is great for divers as it offers transportation every day from the resort to the beautiful crystal water keys, Aquarium and Haynes Cay. The Sea Garden diving academy is really near to the hotel as well. A great resort!
The beautiful first-class Royal Decameron Marazul resort is far from the hustle and bustle of the town center, but only 10 minutes away from the airport. Hidden between the ocean and the jungle in the area of Orange Hill, this hotel has a spectacular beach surrounded by gardens, bars, sports areas, and all the essential luxuries. Absolutely delightful and one of the most sought-after resorts on the island, the Royal Decameron Marazul offers extraordinary quality at every day prices. It's a beauty!
Location: On a man-made beach, 15 minutes from downtown, restaurants, nightclubs and shopping, 15 minutes from the airport.
The hotel is excellent, it has a beautiful view of the sea, the breakfasts are great. The rooms are large and comfortable.Something to improve, check in at the desk should be a bit faster. Everything else is spectacular, it is located in a good area close to the city center.
We went to enjoyed our vacation.. Everything was very unexpected, the people in the "hotel" we're very rude, they don't have idea what a customer service is, THE AC doesn't work properly, they change our room and I don't know wish one was worse, I felt like a trough my money thru the toilet, the food wasn't good cook, they don't give you strew with the drinks because they want to preserve I don't know what, I came back sick because I had to put my mouth in every single glass, the personal at the restaurant doesn't pay attention to you, if you don't ask for something forget it they don't care about you, there was a few good mornings that I had receive, is incredible how bad our stay was, you have to wake up early to go a make reservation for the different restaurant because you can go to any Decameron but I really don't recommend any of them, (isleno maybe) but can u imagine have to leave your sweet dreams and go and run to make a reservation?because after 9 o 10 am there gone!
a little bit far away from the center of the city but has a quiet location with an amazing view, friendly staff and fast service, a lot of activities to do in the same place, a lot of drinks and food to chose
Once again, the DeCameron Mar Azul a great holiday weekend. Pity the weather was overcast and wet, but still a great atmosphere with the people and staff. Toured the island on a 4 X 4 "Mula". Great way to get around on the island. Visited most of the DeCameron hotels on the island to experience their hospitality. All very well placed and great service that you can expect from the group. Definitely worth a visit to the other hotels too. Perfect for families and friends of all ages. Beaches are beautiful and clean. Just seems the island is going a bit down to decay. Could be my imagination.
The customer service was fantastic at this hotel. From the reception, to the 'caja', to the reservations desk and the activities kiosk, all the employees were very friendly and nice. They have a small beach with kayaking, and other sports (wind surfing, water paddle bikes, and others), which were awesome and at no extra cost! Our room was by the pool and their activities center which gets very loud at night, but we were on vacation and so tired after our daily activities we did not care. The pool closed at 8 pm (I think) but the activity center was opened until like 11 pm.The hotel offered 4 trips for free to the aquarium, but I recommend to wake up early! We did and it was worth it! The aquarium may get crowded but you will love swimming with fish all around you... And the colors of the ocean are amazing! We paid for a 1 hour scuba lesson for our oldest son that was offered at the resort in their pool. It was his first time so it was nice to do it on site. The food was varied, with some hit and misses, but overall it was satisfying. The juices and soups were our favorite as were the omelettes during breakfast, which they make while you watch and wait. The ocean in San Andres has 7 colors and it is gorgeous! We went to a snorkeling tour offered by the resort and we swam with Manta Rays! The guys in charge of the tour were very nice! The resort may not be the fanciest, but the people and the amenities overall make it worth it.We liked this resort as well as San Andres so much, we are planning to go back!
