Friendly Service and Great Facilities

Stayed with my family for a week in July and had a great time! The staff was so attentive and friendly, especially Indalecio, Andres, Elmer, Ester, and Claudia. Hacienda Kitchen buffet was the highlight of every morning! One complaint would be the music playing at the pool bar (there was a group that had their own music plugged in and they were playing loud and inappropriate songs...) Other than that, it was a fantastic experience! Will hopefully be back someday soon.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. Incredible resort - beautiful location - friendly service. The best of the best! We loved everything about our stay - from the ocean view, to the iguanas and macaws, to the variety of restaurants - an extremely relaxing time for our family of 7.We spent most of our time by the beautiful pools - everyone was so happy and friendly, but Indalecio went out of his way to stop and talk with us several times. He was very kind and answered many questions about the resort and Costa Rica in general. We will definitely be back if we are able to make it back to Costa Rica!!!

Luxury on the coast!

Stayed 4 days at Los Suenos. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were beautifully appointed and spacious. The grounds were sprawling and well-maintained. You could choose to be in the thick of things or as we did, rent the cabana at the far end for a lazy day in the shade facing the ocean. We even spotted 8 Scarlet Macaws on the adjacent property. The food at the pool bar was delicious, especially the grilled chicken Caesar salad and the fish tacos; always asked for Wendy, she was a delight! Must try the Miami Vice as well; a perfect concoction to sip away the heat. The resort's location was great...Jaco just minutes away and Manuel Antonio an hours drive. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

Relax , friendly and also good for families

Located on the beach in Los Suenous , Herradura nearby it is a great hotel with ok meeting facilities and very friendly staffWe also had a couple of dinners that went really well and we even were allowed to cook the hook after a successful fishing trip from the nearby marina( tuna and mahi-mahi ) This is the place if you like to go fishing sailfish !! I do charter a boat from Predator in the Marina , landed 13 sailfish with captain Javier and baitman Eber - best fishing trip ever Ocean view and hearing the waves crashing in is soothing ! Bar 8 overlooking pools and sea is good and friendly staff Well managed and great friendliness

Great resort but not a "beach vacation"

The reason for 4 instead of 5 Excellent is because it was not the "beach vacation" we were hoping for.The Staff: It is truly the friendliest staff. Every member of the staff greets you as they pass. Each one is helpful to any question we had. The staff truly has a "yes" mentality. There were 6 of us that came to celebrate my birthday. My husband called ahead and made reservations at the steak house for dinner. And we had a nice piece of chocolate cake and champagne in our room wishing me a Happy Birthday. At the restaurant, I asked if they had soy paper instead of seaweed paper for the sushi, the staff said they would check. When he returned they were seeing if they could find rice paper, but if I was ok if they used no paper. I have never had this offered before and was very pleased that I could enjoy the sushi and avoid the seaweed paper. I have no idea how they pulled it off, but it was delicious. Check In: Mobile Check in is different here (then anywhere else I have done it). If you do Mobile Check In, the bellman has your keys and information, walks you to your room, and does everything that you would normally do at the Front Desk, but in your room. Valet is only $6 and with the rain off and on, it was worth every penny of the $6 a day.Front Desk: My mom and sister's room was completely across the hotel but there was not a room closer to move to. We decided to return to the front desk and see if there would be a closer room the next day. Reyner at the front desk made our entire stay better, when after looking for a few minutes and stepping away to confirm, he was able to move them to the adjoining room to us the next day. We had a room with a balcony, and spent every morning having coffee looking at the water. The beach is visible and accessible from the hotel, but we didn't see anyone swimming. We walked out, (I would recommend bringing water shoes), but it wasn't the type of beach you would lay out by and swim in. The sand is brown so the water by the shore is brown, however if you swam out a little bit, you would be in the blue part of the water. You are "off property" at the beach. And, on our 3rd swim in the water, I was stung by a jellyfish. PS...ammonia and urine is not a treatment for that. Thankfully, an older lady saw me, and followed me and gave me some calamine lotion that she was currently using for her really bad jellyfish sting. Thankfully, I also travel with Cortizone cream and bath salts. I can't speak enough about how fun and friendly the staff is. Our last day laying out facing the beach, we started at 8am, until 4pm, and loved Louis, aka Michi. He was attentive, and friendly when we met him the first day, and he was awesome on our last day. Feel free to venture off the property and eat locally. Also, there is not a huge price difference between room service and restaurant. The local dish of shaded chicken and rice is very good and super affordable. Also, we had great luck sharing chicken quesadillas at lunch that held us off until dinner and kept the price low for eating on property for most meals. Breakfast - go to the deli that is open 24/7. They have a really good breakfast sandwich and ham and cheese croissant. was attentive, and friendly when we met him the first day, and he was awesome on our last day. I would avoid eating at the steak restaurant. It is not worth the cost. Go into town.
