From the moment we arrived, our stay was wonderful and relaxing. Check-in was seamless. Room was super clean, comfortable and extremely spacious / huge bathroom, lots of hot water. Grounds are well maintained. Beach is right at the property and a 5 minute walk to town where you can stroll, shop, sightsee and try other food places. We ate at the resort restaurant every night - Wave Grill. Food was excellent, fresh and plentiful. We just about tried everything on the menu. The staff at the Wave was tops. I must give highest praises to Natalie, Madeline, Angie, Chystal and Jose. They were extremely attentive and friendly. They made us feel like we were regulars. They never stopped for a minute - always working, cleaning, serving etc. They are an asset to the resort and one of the main reasons I would return. Thanks to you all for your friendship and kindness.
We just spent two nights in this place because that was what we booked. We would have left after the first night. When we first checked in, I asked about a fridge in the room. Not available. But for an extra $5.00 we can "upgrade you". The hotel was empty. They should have offered us an upgrade free. My husband is diabetic and we needed to keep his medications cold. But no. So they put us in a "beach front" room, which it is not. It's pool side. The beach is simply non-existent. Then we went looking for the "amenities". There weren't any. There is no casino. The restaurant is awful... it's "typical" which might be fine for some but I was expecting something a little more upscale. The pool, which looks huge in the pictures, is not. It's small. And murky. And there's a "surf school" on the property that met just outside our room at 7:00 AM. At 10:00 PM we could still hear the music from the bar/restaurant and at 7:00 AM, besides the surf school, they turned the music on in the restaurant. Right in front of our room. We're on vacation!! Keep the sound down until at least 9:00 AM. I don't need to get up at the crack of dawn because of your music. And that's the bad stuff.The good stuff... not that much. A great room. Good air conditioning and the best Wifi have had in a hotel. The staff were awesome... very helpful except they couldn't help much with so many restrictions. I mean what other hotel gives you a piece of paper, printed both sides, with so many restrictions that it requires two pages.Will we be returning.... no. Not in this lifetime anyway. If their website was more up to date and told the truth, maybe I would consider it. But, this place is grossly overpriced for what it offers. So many better choices in in this town. Many.
After arriving early for our "all inclusive" five night stay, we checked out 4 nights early. We arrived before check in time(12 pm), but were told that our "all inclusive does not start till 2 pm.We were not going to be able to eat till dinner at 6:30. We asked about our snacks that were included and they said that it would not start till 4:30. After complaining about how none of this was considered "all inclusive" we were allowed to order a snack early. We were then told we could only order 1 item off the menu. Once finally getting some food from the one restaurant at the hotel, it was almost inedible. Chicken bones were still in the chicken and rice. After sticking out the first night, in hopes that the breakfast would be better, only to discover egg shells in the eggs. We felt very I welcomed by "resort" staff and others staying at the "resort". After deciding to check out early. There was no question as to why. They simply handed us our credit card statement and called us a cab.
Nice room; very friendly, helpful people; 3 swimming pools; next to the shore; open air restaurant and bar; gated resort with security; beautiful landscaping; and priced right. It's even within walking distance of downtown jaco.
Although not a new resort the room we booked was clean and the air conditioning perfect. Housekeeping kept the room clean and the sheets were changed every other day. We found the front desk staff professional and eager to help on any questions we had on the Jaco area. Security was spot on. The Restaurant and Bar personnel were absolutely fantastic making for a most enjoyable stay. Since it is no longer Morgan's Cove Resort and Casino and now called Beach Break renovations were obvious all around the complex. Yard keeping and maintenance were ongoing. We thoroughly enjoyed our Anniversary and would go back to Beach Break.

If selecting an all-inclusive resort option, the package will also include the all-inclusive features as outlined by each resort.
