Bahia Del Sol
- What's Included
We really had a great time while staying at this low key relaxing hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was a little tricky to find so do your research on how to get to it. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful, especially the tropical areas around the rooms. The beach is very quiet with some shade from palm trees. The room itself has been newly remodeled in a very modern IKEA like decor. The staff was extremely professional and helpful. Hector at the reception desk was wonderful and spoke perfect English. The price included breakfast which I thought was quite good. You get to choose from about 8 different items. The food is beautifully presented and though not a great quantity, it was certainly adequate and tasty. We did not eat at the restaurant for lunch or dinner bencause there are several very good casual restaurants within a few blocks-El Castillo and The Shack were our favorites but there were several we didn't get to. Also there is a small grocery a couple of blocks away.
Expertly maintained hotel with a very good restaurant located on a fantastic beach. The staff were very professional and friendly. The resort has a nice pool and swim up bar along with a very good restaurant. It is a very safe and clean place right next to a large uncrowded beach.
the hotel was very nice. It was small which was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were nice, the check in was easy and they showed you to your room. free breakfast was great. The pool and sitting area between the pool and beach was very nice to relax. the beach was excellent, nice dark sand with no rocks on the beach or in the water. everything you needed was on site or nearby. we stayed for two days and had a car rented. we would recommend and would return for sure. if you are looking for a crowded large hotel with lots of people and activity then this is not for you.
My family was staying at a condo nearby and wanted to venture out to try some restaurants in the area so we heard good things about Bahia Del Sol and gave it a try. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. The drinks were also excellent (margaritas). We are finicky East Coast snobs and the food rivaled NYC quality. All four of us (husband, me, my two 18 yr olds) ordered different entrees and appetizers and they were all excellent. The one disappointment was that the restaurant was empty! We couldn't understand why! We were the ONLY table for most of the night. Later on another family sat down, but it was mystifying was the place was deserted. Perhaps the holiday rush is over and the place isn't as busy? Anyway, we left very satisfied and felt the place should have been packed due to the quality.
Excellent service from all. Skilled waiters and bartenders. Friendly, knowledgeable. Very service oriented. Rooms clean. Very friendly staff. Gabriel the GM personally welcomed us. There were stones in the drains at the shower - very strange and not sure this is not a haven for dirt and mosquitos. It was very odd. The rooms had just been renovated so we were the first to use itZ did not drain well. However the facilities are top notch, lovely. The service is excellent however a little disorganized at times. We choose to eat off premise. Would go back and highly recommend.
