I traveled with my wife in the beginning of April. We stayed for 10 days. The resort overall is good. We liked the food which for Cuba was pretty delicious. The buffet had so many choices. The meat and the fish on the grill were amazing. The pizza and pasta stations were good too. The seafood and the Italian restaurant are highly recommended (you need reservations) but we had great dining experience. For Cuba, I would say it was the best food as we have also been to Varadero, The drinks were good. The snack bar is open 24 hours which was really cool. The entertainment was fun every night; they have different shows for the whole week.. During the day at the pool there were many fun activities too. The beach and the ocean were the best we ever experienced and we traveled a lot in the Caribbean. Crystal clear shallow water and white sand beach and there were available chairs all the time. The con: the rooms really need to be updated. We were in the building 20 which is close to the beach and very quiet. However, everything in the room needs renovations; the tub was old and the door needs to be replaced (there were cracks on it). The worst thing was that there were small ants in the room and we were bitten many times (we still have scars from that). Conclusion: good resort but needs rooms renovations.
Arrived to the smiling faces welcoming us back Food was excellent went to the international, Italian and Cuban a la carte they were all excellent Food in the buffet and the Picua lunch and BBQ was all excellent !!Rooms were always cleaned with towel art left on the bed Drinks were always excellent Windy week so no water sports but that was ok All in all excellent
Cayo Coco was enjoyable. My room was great. (Only problem was the sliding door latch was broken.) Shower was nice and hot. Evening dancing entertainment was fun. It was great having a staff member outside cutting open coconuts to drink. Food and drink were if anything too much. Beach and grounds were nice and had a number of bird species. The hotel computers were a bit difficult to use because symbols had worn off the keyboard. Swimming pools were clean and not too crowded. I would return with my family.
hi all... just got back from yet another amazing time at the Tryp. this time i was there for 10 days.. they will soon be starting to renovate all of the rooms at the resort. i got to see a demo room. absolutely beautiful !! once all renovations are done, the resort will become the most desirable destinations in Cuba. The food has improved a lot over my last visit there and it was good then. there are some new faces and some old faces working there. i only have one complaint about my visit this time, my vacation had to end so soon. if you haven't been to this awesome resort, please don't miss out !!! would i call this a luxury hotel, well that would depend on what you think luxury means to me luxury means very high priced..so i would say no, at the Tryp you get your money's worth. it is a great family resort, absolutely the best in Cayo Coco
First time at Tryp Cayo Coco, definitely will not be our last. My best friend and I decided to go early April, we had the most incredible time. Cuba's beaches, of course are the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Tryp's was amazing, never had an issue with looking for a chair. The buffet was great, many options. We also never got hungry the 24/7 snack bar definitely helped - I mean who doesn't like Ham and Cheese? The rooms were average, comfy bed and a fridge but who comes to Cuba to stay in the room? The Staff. Wow. Never have I ever met such kind wonderful people. Always helpful, always friendly. Giovanni and Uber at the snack bar were always welcoming with giant smiles. The entertainment staff were fantastic, we felt so comfortable and welcomed. They wanted to include everyone in the fun, they had such high spirits and made everyone laugh. Noslen and Steve were perfect, got everyone dancing and having the time of their lives. They did such an incredible job making us feel happy and welcomed with open arms. The night shows were also great, the dancers are crazy good. Overall a trip is always what you make it though Tryp Cayo Coco helped make it the best time ever. Can't wait to go back!
