Our Opinion

Iberostar Ensenachos is a resort suited for those who like larger properties and big resorts. The Iberostar provides top-notch luxury service and is the only 5 star in Cayo Santa Maria that accepts children. The resort is situated along one of Cuba's most beautiful beaches. The service from staff is extremely attentive and pleasant. For those wanting top-notch luxury and the most out of their all-inclusive experience, the Iberostar Ensenachos is the perfect destination.

This stunning resort, set on a spectacular white powdery sand beach that stretches over 2.6 kilometres, offers all the luxury one expects from a hotel of this class. Experience some of the finest facilities anywhere in dazzling surroundings!

Great hotel and staff

We have been visiting this hotel many times since 2006.This is our first time writing a review because we are surprised to see so many negative comments. We were at the resort right before hurricane Irma hit and we were evacuated Sept 6. But we came back at the beginning of December. All staff are working extremely hard to restore the hotel to its original conditions. First thing we noticed is that the bungalows and lobby are freshly renovated.Lobby and restaurants have updated furniture. The only thing that cannot be recovered as fast is the gardens. But they are putting a lot of effort and hard work into restoring them. In some sections the greenery is almost as beautiful as it was before.As for food, it was good. They always have fresh fish, meat, seafood. The only thing that they were short on is fruist. But it is understandable as lots of plantations were destroyed after the hurricane so we think that it will take them a season before it will go back to normal.As for the staff, we are extremely happy with their services. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Diego, customer service manager, who is always willing to help and goes out of his way to make everyone’s stay as pleasant as possible. A big thanks to Jose, food and bar manager, who does an amazing job at organizing and coordinating his department. He has great staff working for him. We really like Javier and Herrera, the waiters at the buffet, they always take care of us and have everything ready before we even ask. We usually come with our grand children and they absolutely love Javier and Harrera. Our grandchildren don’t really like eating outside but these waiters make it so enjoyable for them that even they eat! Our grand kids want to go to Cuba to see Javier!We love this hotel and planning our next visit for this May, once again!

Great beach!

Great family resort as we went with daughter and family; however, we stayed in the over 18 area. This area had its own pool which was quiet. The buffets were good and the a la cartes were excellent. Our daughter and family have been here a couple of times so we decided to join them. Our son-in-law booked the a la cartes: seafood (beach restaurant), Japanese were great. Long bus ride from the airport so we could see the cays and countryside. We went mid July 2017 so we saw large crabs walking around at night. The weather was good and great to cool off in the ocean. We took a paddle boat out one day, fantastic! The resort is well landscaped, large trees and each building has a centre court, some with a banana trees among the foliage. Only negative is that the resort bank never had one pesos to exchange from our larger bills, Had to go to the bars to get change. I wonder with all the tips given, why can't the staff go to the resort and exchange them which would allow for a constant supply. Also, the beach towels were always short in supply to be exchanged. We were lucky as our towels were not so wet as with guests with children, however, we were only able to exchange twice during the trip.

Iberostar Ensenachos

Our experience on Iberostar Ensenachos did not met our basic expectation as normally should be an international brand with standard. We have been there for the week of the New year 2018.We stayed for 6 nights, and first 3 night were terrible.Terrible because we had to spend the first 3 nights to know the resort.At check in we only received the keycard and some paper information like a 2** Hotel.From my experience at this category, a hotel 5***** , should be with better hospitality towards the costumers specially if we talk about a chain hotel like IBEROSTAR.Starting from the welcome into the reception, to dedicate 20min to a costumers and explains the resort properly not wasting 3 days of vocation discovering beach, restaurant, entertainment, hotel rules etc.About the F&B Outlet could be better organise and missing a lot of details, as 5*****.The animation group we discover on the 4th days after that we spoke with one of the Manager. We waited a lot of months for this staying with you but in the end we are sad about the global experience in IBEROSTAR.

Top 5 stars all inclusive resort

One of the best resort we have stayed. Very large room,clean. Personal very helpful. Good activities. Beaches services perfect as 5 stars resort. Food top quality with lot of choice ( lobsters, shrimps, all kind of fish ect...). We check out at 05 h AM, even have breakfast, coffee ready for us. Every days, cuban music at main hall with orchest, musicians top quality.

Cuba Iberostar Ensenachos

We went to Cuba for the first time. The Iberostar Ensenachos has a wonderful and helpful personal. Best service ever.We were located at the Grand Village....just stunning....very quiet and luxurious feeling....the personal give you an outstanding service. The beach is beautiful....and one part of it is private to the Grand Village guests.We love our stay and will surely come again.I highly recommend the Grand Village. Don't forget to have some cash for the tips unfortunately the hotel didn't accept to give you cash with your credit card . You have to go downtown to make some change. The people are poor and in need of some basic stuff. So if you can help them with that they will highly appreciate it. We didn't know that and next time we will organize ourselves to help.
