In our 30 trips to Cuba this is the best by far. A live band played for lunch and dinner often. There were showgirl dancers every night solo singing and male dancers also. They were fabulous and after was dancing for everyone. Fresh fish for lunch and dinner with fresh mango papaya pineapple and guava often at lunch and dinner. Omelettes for breakfast. There were enough other selections so you wont starve. The chicken is organic in cuba so is everything else grown or raised. Great Beach and outdoor bar and pool. I cant say enough good things about this place Rooms are clean with a/c and fridge that work. T.V a safe hair dryer.
Every time I go to Cuba I get more disappointed about the beaches at east of habana..I remember when I was a kid that was beautiful, now is a piece of coast and grass growing with no control and total abandonment. The hotel use to be beatiful but now is a 2 star hotel with no conditions at all ,sincerely is like a hotel to stay a day if you are looking to spend a few hours in somewhere, now for vacation please make your self a favor and look for something outside of Habana ,,it will much better, and regarding east beaches you get there in a car if you want to , no need for the Atlantic o Hotel,!
The hotel is old so if expecting a resort of the last years you will not find that here. The staff was friendly. We saw lots of people cleaning and taking care of the grounds. The room we had was in need of repair and updates. Ask for a refreshed room and pay the extra money! Dance lessons were very good. The food was adequate in the main dining area, fresh eggs, fruit and toast works any day. The reserved dinning and BBQ each day were a plus. The beach to either side each morning was disgusting with trash..workers worked hard to clean it up each day. The beach here was good. The one real negative at this Hotel was what appeared to be younger women conducting business with the Single middle age men at the hotel..we tried to ignore the obvious as it did not involve us.....however it was hard the day we left when an employee was obviously letting one of the young females know she was using the wrong exit to leave the buidling and things became a bit heated.
We stayed here for 3 nights on an organside holiday. We werent expecting 5 star due to the embargo which when visiting Cuba you have to bear in mind. The hotel was good but was let down by the quality of food and the number of flies in the dining room. The bar staff were excellent and the beaches were ace. Bedrooms were good size and comfortable.
Hotel is what you will get in Cuba on the beach. I had a great time meeting people everyone was friendly water was beautiful. The people there don't use a garbage can so in the morning there was garbage on the beach mainly beer cans bottles. They were cleaned up by local's as they prepared chairs and umbrellas for the day. Food at the hotel was fair but you could walk a few miters down the road and find cheap local food that was good. The staff was friendly and help full. Meet Adonis and Roberto from the hotel and they were great to show me around a bit. I would go back but most Americans need to know that Cuba is not like the hotel we are use to.
