I'm try not to be negative when writing reviews, however this place was a real let-down. Having travelled extensively all over the world, I was keeping an open mind about my 1st visit to Cuba and was mindful of the economic position of the Country etc. We stayed 3 nights here & were thoroughly underwhelmed. For 1 whole day we had no running water - the whole Hotel was without (but no offer was made for bottles of water to wash hands, or even to re-locate us at the Miramar sister Hotel next door), our shower was broken throughout despite flagging the issue with Reception & the staff were less than helpful. There were no porters on duty to help carry luggage on our arrival to the Hotel, or on departure. This was not an expectation and I was fully able to manage, however it is a basic service one should hope is offered by most establishments nowadays.Small bottles of water at the Bar were an eye-watering £2.00 compared to a large 1.5L from a local shop at £0.75!!The breakfast was indifferent and a member of staff had to go looking for milk one morning and it was still only 08.00.Location is out of town so expect to pay 15CUC (approx. £12.00) for a taxi into the city centre.Plusses - ummm..... The balcony area was nice, except that the discarded cigar and tissue paper which greeted us when we arrived, was still there when we left. Otherwise, glad we only had to stay for 3 nights!Sorry - harsh, but fair!
What a dreadful hotel- indifferent staff, no air conditioning, no water for 18 hours, no toilet paper, no milk left at breakfast (only 8am) I could go on.....very very dirty and disappointing-do not stay here!!
The hotel is overrated. Practically a regular 3* hotel. The restaurant is located in the next hotel, so it might be inconvenient at times of breakfast or dinner. Wifi is available for 2 CUC/hour, regular price. Is located quite far from the historic center.
Recommended!!! All services are very good. Everything neat and tidy. The staff are friendly and very professional. Food is delicious. They have a variety of very good drinks. Really lovely. Very comfortable.
Not the best place to stay as the air was next to non-existent and the beds were rock hard. Many in our group had a lot of bites after this hotel. I did not. However, this hotel was really showing some age. Toilet facilities were awesome (for Cuba!), the bathroom was well lit, hot water in shower was plentiful; however, the shower was weak. Unfortunately, most room safes in our group didn't work, breakfasts were good. Grocery store had water on the cheap..and ice cream too. Desk staff was helpful, but not out of their way helpful. Our entire groups keys didn't work the last night. They tried to say it was because we kept them next to a phone. They weren't convinced that someone coded them wrong -even though our group was in 12 different rooms. Elevators were nice. Cats all over the place though. NOTE: Some members of our group had broken beds, curtain rods falling off the walls, etc. I was most worried about the mold smell that I had read about. However, no one seemed to be in those rooms. Overall, it was a better experience than I thought…but, I think there are other hotels that could offer something better for a similar cost.
