Our Opinion
A famous hotel located right in the middle of the local scene in Vedado, the rooms are nice and updated and it has an open air disco on the top of the hotel.
A fun, hip hotel right in the heart of Havana. Incredible selection of entertainment, including a nightclub on the top floor with a retractable ceiling that allows you to take in a show under the stars.
Location: Downtown district of Vedado. 40 min from Havana airport.

Check in was curt, unhelpful and almost rude....any questions asked were dismissed and unanswered. The pool was "closed" so I didn't attempt a swim, yet 3 others in our group successfully swam....poor to non-existent communication. Our room was horrible - insect eaten furniture with wood chips all over the floor and not cleaned up, filthy pillows, dirty windows....awful. Breakfast was included and standard for Cuba.

Originally a Hilton Hotel prior to the revolution. Rooms are spacious but have not been maintained and up kept well

Location is in central Havana near the University. Need to take a taxi to the Old Town area. Lobby is large and grand but rooms are old and not up kept face quite old. View from high floors is amazing if you are facing the sea.

Number 1 Hotel

Beautiful hotel in Havana. Food is excellent compared to other hotels in Havana, or the World. I would certainly recommend this hotel to any traveler seeking for pleasure in Havana City. Food is excellent. Good Hotel

Hot water? Sometimes....

We stayed here in January '17 with a tour group. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the rooms large and clean with a very nice view of Havana and its harbor. We stayed on the 15th and the 21st floors (we left Havana and then returned at the end of our week + trip). The breakfast was extensive and very tasty. However, the elevators were extremely slow and we walked down (from the 15th floor) two mornings. Our first stay we had no problems with hot water; we had none the last two days of our visit. Since this was the first time I had been to Havana, I can't compare it with other hotels, but I understand that our experience is not uncommon.

This Hotel is slightly worse than Havanas other famous Hotel (Nacional).I was only here for one night (luckily) as part of a group of passengers that had gotten stuck in Havana because the Cubana Flight had mechanical issues..our stay was complimentary along with meal vouchers to the restaurants.Hats off to Cubana Airlines but the Hotel wont get a pass The room i was in was old and outdated.. I was told that the Hotel was in the process of renovating the rooms..unfortunately my room was not one of them..almost everything was old or broken, no hot water and the curtains/ blinds would not fully close. The cafe which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner should be missed!!The restaurants are not much better either.... and are expensive!!The location of the Hotel is's located next to Calle 23 (23rd Street) the main artery that runs from Vedado all the way down to the Malecon (Havana's Seafront Wall)Vedado is a very nice and clean surburb that lies in between Centro and Old Havana (Habana Vieja) which are both only a 5 minute Taxi ride away or 20 minutes on foot. There are plenty of Bars, Restaurants and Nightclubs in the area so one never gets bored. The Hotel pool is quite modern and seems to be a big hit with Foreign and Cuban Guests.I personally would not stay at his Hotel at the current asking price
