We stayed at the PP Hotel from Nov to Dec 1st for 10days, this was enough. We have been to Cuba before some 4 yrs ago and loved it (Varadero).Bad points of the hotel first :- The whole Hotel needs updating. The day entertainment at the beach and around the pool was VERY bad (reps did not get people involved, some events did not happen, no one informed), the night entertainment was VERY poor. The night guards around the grounds come up to your patio and ask for beers, the crew from the beach pester you to go to the bar for them and get them some beers. Booking the restaurants (needs to be done first day your there or you will have to wait 4-5 days to get a 7pm-7.30pm table), but when your at the restaurant it's empty .....Good points :- Food was VERY good all over the resort, the staff in the buffet restaurant were great, rooms were very clean (a bit dated), the grounds were kept clean and tidy, buggy sevice was good during the day and early evening. The Green Path Trip was brilliant, got to see the real Cuban living (must go see Peter Pinapple farm, great pinacolad). The catamaran trip is great and you must go on the safari for $9.Overall good holiday but would not go back due to the lack of things to do, very good if you just want to sit around the pool or the beach and do nothing.
This was my first long haul all inclusive holiday and I am now worried Playa Pesquero set the bar too high for expectations on future holidays. There is soooo much to do activity wise and excursion wise. Excursions can be a little pricey but they are definitely worth it! We went to Paradise Island which really was just that! We also met with the dolphins which was a truely unforgettable experience. There are so many activities throughout the day, on the beach and around the pool area. The evening entertainment was good but have seen better. Some evenings were great and some were a bit of a let down however this doesn't really matter as there are the various other bars around the grounds, including the kareoke bar! All staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. I was actually sad to leave after building friendships with some of the staff. George (maintenance/pool guy) was brilliant. On two occasions we had mentioned things in conversation, such as having ran out of after sun and wondering where we could buy floats for the pool, and on both occasions George returned with what we had been looking for, at no charge at all. He was so lovely and I wish him all the best! Restaurants were great, towards the end of the fornight the buffet did become very repetitive but it was tasty all the same. The a la carte restaurants were lovely, the italian being my favourite.Rooms and grounds overall were spotless and cleaned daily to a high level. Mini fridge in room was restocked daily also, along with towels. The maid always left new art with the towels in the room and on my birthday decorated the room nicely with the balloons my friends had brought with them!Overall I absolutely loved this hotel and can't wait to return!
I am looking for an email address to email for weddings at the HOtel. I got engaged here and I think it would be amazing to get married here too! Could someone help me to get in contact? I have emailed one but no reply. could someone help me?? Thankyou
My wife & I visited PP last jun/jul 15, we had a wonderful time, plenty of fresh cooked food, always spaces around the pools, beach was spotless, ocean is like a warm bath.I booked a surprise meal on the beach in the pavilion over looking the ocean, watching the sun go down whilst having our meal...wonderful...PP has had a little of bad press off late, but I can only speak as I find & we found the place absolutely fantastic.we done a couple of trips, both very very good, especially the dolphins..I would defiantly go back....
Had a superb two week holiday in this wonderful hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and we were really well looked after. The food was delicious and varied. The Hotel was spotless and they really did seem to have thought of everything. Loved every bit of it. Beach great and beautifully clean. Pizzas in the beach bar well worth a try.
