I'm writing this too say how happy I am with Brisas del Caribe. We stayed from January 16-31 !! The improvements they made to the suite (404) . New bed , furniture and bathroom fixtures !! The food has improved so much from the buffet too the La a carte restaurant !! I would like to thank everyone for helping us out in having an amazing time !! I hope to see everyone again soon !!
This was my family's 7th time staying at Brisas del Caribe. I travelled with my husband and our 11 year old son. Once again we had a fantastic time at this resort, going back to see old friends and meeting new ones in the process. For anyone thinking of going here please keep in mind that this resort is not perfect, it is older and there are some areas that show a little wear and tear, but for the most part it is a decent resort and each year they have noticeable improvements that are made. The hotel grounds and pool areas are always lovely and well maintained, lots of chairs around the pool to lounge around and never had an issue getting a towel from the wonderful Jose. The beach is stunning and every year i say and still hold true to Brisas has the BEST beach front compared to the other hotels along the strip. The rooms are ok, in the years we have been coming to this resort we always stay on the North side as it is closer to everything and more convienent when travelling with child. We have stayed on each floor ground floor, 2nd floor and 3rd floor, and never did we have an issue with any of our rooms over the years.( luck of the draw? maybe) This year however we were surpised at check in when they told us they gave us a suite on the 4th floor. This was by far the best room yet for us as it had 2 seperate sleeping areas, 2 bathrooms and a nice big balcony overlooking the pool and also giving us a nice view of the beach through the palm trees! Our housekeeper martha did an amazing job each day cleaning our room, keeping us stocked with a fresh bottle of water each day, clean towels and Toilet paper. When it comes to the food i always tell people it is ok. always something to enjoy. Breakfast at the buffet was always great, our lunches we always ate at the beach grill or over at the 24 hour snack bar on the south side, and in past years we always at our supper in the buffet restaurant but this year after only eating there 2 times for supper i found it to be way to chaotic so we managed to go to the ala carte restaurants for the duration of our trip. much nicer and more civilized and the service from the wait staff is amazing! Best restaurant by far is Illusions located on the south side! This year we were invited to the special dinner for the return guests, it was AMAZING and as an surprise they did the grand opening of their newest feature at the resort...the wine cellar! this is located on the south side just around the corner from the illusions restaurant. If you are a wine lover then for sure you need to check this out. The staff at this resort is wonderful and it has been an honor to get to know some of them over the years we appreciate seeing them and having fun with them, they always help make our vacation more fun and memorable! My family and I will certainly be back next January! Thank you for everything Brisas Del Caribe, this year once again you went above and beyond our expectaions! xoxoxox
The staff and people in Brisas del Caribe are fantastic... Food at the buffet is great... Hotel and beach are very funny... Bartenders are fun and polite... I would like to como back soon. It was a happy winter
Cautions - The first night they tried to put us in the bungalows at the back of the property by the main road. The in-room safes did not work, the road was noisy and it was quite a hike to the main beach. The next day we managed to change to the main building where the safes and plumbing all worked. There were no fridges, and no bottled water (both of theses we had been informed that we were getting.- every we read about the tourists from Russia seemed to come true. - beach towels? we never got them, always seemed to be a shortage so we finally bought our own and got a souvenir as well.Compliments & Kudos- the rooms in the main building were good.- the beach was amazing- the food was better than the last time we went to Varadero and this time (while we added some extra precautions) we had no "stomach issues" to speak of- the waiter named Yuniel was so good we tipped him. Then he became amazing! No end of Kudos for this guy. While to some people he may not come across as the most pleasant person, but when you asked for something - you got it - and quickly! A lot of the younger staff should learn from him!
Had a great time at this resort. Food was average, but the overall experience was great. The recreation staff were amazing, the beach was beautiful, the pool was large. Lots to do for everybody. The first room we were assigned wasn't good, and we asked for a different room right away which they provided, and we were extremely happy with the new room. It was my daughter's birthday and the entire resort went out of their way to help her celebrate. They held an afternoon party/celebration for her with cake, music and decorations. The staff at lunch sang to her at the meal. Such a memorable time!
