Our Opinion
An OK resort situated within the Varadero strip. The rooms need a bit of maintenance and upgrading. However, they are cleaned and stocked daily. The food is nothing to rave about, but the resort offers plenty of choices. The resort is notable for having incredibly exceptional staff. If you have any concerns or needs, a resort team member will always be nearby to help accommodate your requests. Really great beach location. Be advised however, that bad weather conditions often lead to beach closures. Plenty of amenities available, such as a gym facility. This is an OK resort in Varadero. However, for the price you pay, it's best to go elsewhere.
Please note that hotel standards in Cuba tend to be lower than in other Sun Destinations. Unless travelers are familiar with the resort or Cuban hotels, we typically recommend that travelers book a minimum 4 star resort when traveling to Cuba.

A long time favorite of Canadians, Brisas del Caribe is set along a stunning stretch of white sand beach in fabulous Varadero. Included are a great kids' program, 24-hour lobby bar and 24-hour snack bar. The rooms in the south section of the hotel are great for families, with room for two adults and two kids. Brisas del Caribe is an excellent value beach-front hotel.

Location: Beachfront, 30 minutes from Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport, 10 minutes to downtown Varadero.

At the evening it is a cuban music, cuban and national dance. On the eria of hotel is different kind of swimming pool, kids and massage pool. Your Trip is What You Make of It

I stayed here several years ago (August 2010), and returned briefly to see what may have changed. While it seems the same, I recall that this resort is what you make of it. The staff were very lovely, the food was fine, and you never went hungry. I stayed at a luxury resort this year and I must say while I had a wonderful time as well, there are things I missed from Brisas too. There is a large sense of community at Brisas, and the beach area is one of the best for sure. It has a place in my heart, as it was the first resort I stayed at in Varadero. Overall, you will not have a bad time here, and the staff make sure of this. Beach BBQ was awesome!

Brisas was good :)

Well I've took some time to read the reviews to see other people opinions before we went in our holiday. Now, after we are back home I understand why you must go there with low expectations regarding accommodation in Cuba (in particular) so I must say it was an awesome experience. Brisas del Caribe is a nice resort and compare with other hotels in Cuba it's not a big difference because you don't have to go with high expectations referring to those who are looking for luxury. It is a very friendly and open hotel, it is true that is not a fancy one but the people from there make you feel like you already know them or they know you if you try to talk with them. The room was simple and tidy, clean and thanks to the housekeeping lady we had a surprise every day ( towels changed and made us nice arrangements on our bed with them) the food was average but still I'm not agree with those who said that is disgusting ( its absolutely untrue) the service was good, they work hard to please all tastes, I must mention Jorge, he is the best breakfast chef, he is funny and always joking. Jacqueline from the coffe bar was very nice with us always kind and smiling. At the pool bar is working Ricardo and Juan, they were very happy to serve us all the time. If we will have the chance to go to Cuba we will choose Brisas del Caribe again for sure. Thank you!

Amazing Cuba

We just came back from our holiday in Cuba.I don't really have words to describe the feeling that you have while you are there, for me was just like heaven :) Regarding the hotel don't have really high expectation because in Cuba you will not find that :) the room and the food is average but you will find something to eat :) The staff is polite and very helpful. Juan and Ricardo from the pool bar Jorge the from the breakfast the omelette chef :) very funny guy. Jaqueline from the coffee bar was very nice lady with us and not the last Cennin from the public relation that was very nice and gave us invitations to the all A la Carte restaurants in the resort. The entertainment team is very good, you will never be bored. The beach and the gardens are very beautiful.

Amazing Time!

Sure this is not the most updated resort and neither are the few other resorts I have been too. Water leaking in some hallways, funky smell in some places, aging rooms, flat pillows and I could write a list of little annoying things that bother some other folks but I went there to enjoy my vacation and I left with nothing but positive enjoyable memories and everything else is what you make it out to be. I will be going back to see the wonderful folks there that made my trip amazing. For 10 pesos it's a short taxi ride into Varadero in one of those old taxi cars (if lucky you get a cool convertible one). The food is not the best but it's Cuba and I don't go there for the food, don't drink the water from the tap, bring some charco pills just in case and all is good. I had no problems at all, I was never hungry. The beach is just awesome and if you like to walk the beach then you can do so on this one for a long ways. A couple of times they ran out of clean towels in the morning so I had to reuse mine but it did not bother what, re-use it for one more day. The one thing I want to stress on is that the staff there is top notch! The staff made all the bothersome little things nothing to complain about. I could mention a lot of names that made my trip enjoyable and memorable but I am afraid to leave out some. Some spoke english, some not so much and some not at all but we always found some way to communicate and there was always a smile when trying to. I will be going back and it's to see the wonderful people I met there, the beach and to make more new enjoyable memories and experiences the next time :-) I miss them all already!! Thanks for a great week Brisas del Caribe :-)
