Didn't stay overnight, so I didn't rate it 5 stars. If the rooms were like the beach and the rest of the property, five stars would definitely have been in order.Did a relaxing beach chair, umbrella, and ten step walk into the gorgeous water type of day.Food, drink, spectacular sunny beach, and a pleasant atmosphere was my request, so if you are seeking that, don't hesitate.
This hotels has one of the best locations in Curacao. If you like to snorkel, this is perfect. Unfortunately it's quite deteriorated and requires renovation in a major way. Air conditioning is terrible, rooms and external apperiencie is bad.
LOVED THIS HOTEL AND LOCATION! We stayed the week of Spring Break (March 12-18). This is a very SAFE and LAID BACK ISLAND.I was a bit wary of reviewers saying the Hilton Curacao was run down, but the room was clean and pretty spacious -a/c worked great and rainfall shower head was wonderful. I told the staff we had four in our room (2 adults 2 teen girls) and they always made sure we had extra towels and accommodated us with a smile. Sven was great -- so was everybody else. I wish I would have written down some names but they all were so nice and accommodating. Nobody was rushing us, and the visitors all were happy Islanders for the week! They let us check out at noon the last day, let me borrow the phone to call our airline where there was a mishap and it was very safe and friendly. The Hilton was in the perfect spot -- we either drove west or east or north each day, and it was in the best spot,. Be sure to rent a car to enjoy the entire island, although we stayed on property two of our days. The sea view from our room was gorgeous. The beach, although in a small cove, was perfect and just a few steps down the way was another beautiful beach. The water is a bit rocky with coral but that's what makes the water so clear and full of fish. The Italian Restaurant Cielo (?) was great. So was the smaller Celeste bar for lunch. Some previous reviews said it was way too expensive, but for hotel restaurants they were no more expensive than anywhere else. The pool was expansive and beautiful for pictures.Another plus -- The drinking water! Curacao's tap water is delicious! You don't have to worry about bottled water wherever you go. This is a treat after taking many trips to Mexico or other countries where you are afraid to brush your teeth with tap water. Rental Car - We rented online (a Toyota RAV4) from JUST DRIVE Curacao located at the Airport for US $325 cash and it was great! Other typical rental agencies were considerably more for a lesser sized car.Hilton Curacao is near the Pirate Bay/Carambi area. We ate two meals at the nearby Pirate Bay restaurant, and the once at "Tomatoes" Pizza restaurant at PIrates Bay. All was delicious and right on the beach. Other restaurant we loved was Steak And Ribs in the RIF Fort near the Queen Ann Bridge and the Renaissance Hotel. Free parking at the hotel garage. WE ate there twice it was so delicious! We did Aquafari (underground scooters similar to a dive experience) and it was a unique and was right there at Pirate Bay too. Dolphin Academy Swim was the best experience! It is at the Sea Aquarium. You can tell that they really care about the dolphins. I chose to watch and video my husband and girls which many other places will not allow. It was the highlight of our trip.Beaches -- NO VENDORS ANYWHERE!!!! I cannot express how wonderful this was and why I would come back to Curacao in an instant!Cas Abao was our favorite of all the beaches. though they all were beautiful and unique. It had a restaurant and massage table and plenty of shady spots if you get there early enough. No loud music. Just happy people enjoying the day. Kenepa (Grote Knip) was another great beach. The smoothies there were divine with real fruit. We chose no milk in ours and it was delicious.Sea Turtles -- there is a beach by Playa Forti that you can snorkel with the sea turtles! My girls dove down and touched themPlaya Lagun - a small cove, with so many fish you can't count - beautifulMambo Beach -- my least favorite of the beaches, but it you like a man made beach with a lot of music and night life (similar to Destin but much smaller) this is the beach for you. It has a water playground that kids can jump and climb on too.Overall this was the most relaxing trip. We felt that we were in a Dutch country and loved all of the visitors from the Netherlands. The hotel, the culture, the citizens were all exactly what we were looking for.
-The staff was nice :) at least -The hotel looks like it forgot to leave the 60's-Food is too expensive for the quality, but risotto was good-Forget about activities haha, well they forgot they had activities because of all the old people here, most things look abandoned (look at pictures to see what i mean)-we waited for 48h for our laundry when it is same day service hahaha -my room was never really clean, maid service is not the best, was taking my shower with my flip flops on
My husband and I spent a week at the Hilton Curacao for our wedding anniversary and loved it. The hotel is a little older looking (kind of retro). The rooms are clean, but older décor. The beds are the awesome Hilton beds and supremely comfortable. The daily breakfast downstairs was awesome. The main areas of the hotel are well maintained and the grounds/beach area very pretty. The view from our room was gorgeous and we enjoyed our balcony overlooking the water. The thing that makes the Hilton standout though are the people that work there. Everyone was so nice and friendly and really went out of their way to welcome us and make our stay enjoyable. Thanks Hilton Curacao folks – we had a fantastic stay thanks to your hospitality. Looking forward to seeing you again next year!
