Just opened in January 2009, this lovely 237-room hotel is located in the historic capital city of Willemstad. Sporting an ambience both authentic island charm and European sophistication Renaissance is nestled amid the historic setting of the Rif Fort (an historical World Heritage site) and offers shopping, dining, a casino and nightlife. The resort's 32,000 square feet of private beach delivers oceanfront living in the midst of uptown energy!

Nice property, great location

Perfect location! Property has nice man made beach/infinity pool. Rooms are good size and well appointed. Staff if extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant food just okay but all in all, would definitely stay again.

Excellent in every way

As the title says, this hotel is excellent in every way. We stayed for 2 periods of time, from 13th to 16th of February and 20th to 22nd of February. Everytime we were upgraded for free to a better room. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom as well, they provide all the amenities you need, the room is very clean, nice furniture, well mantained and the staff is great! Free wi-fi all over the hotel, nice Starbucks and infinity pool at the 2nd floor, very close to a lot of restaurants and bars and a 5 to 10-minute walk to downtown area. As I said, this hotel is excellent in every way and for sure I will be staying again here, when visiting again Curaçao.

Excellent service, beautiful view and very clean! Amazing location!

We are a family with two children who stayed at the hotel with the all inclusive package for one week. The resort is absolutely suitable for families or couples. We prefer to do all-inclusive so we do not need to worry about paying for individual meals. There is no bracelet system here, you just sign a bill for each meal with your room number. SERVICE - The service was top-notch, one of the best we have experienced. It was personal and nice that somehow most staff knew who you were, either by name or room number, from the day we arrived. Special mention to Martesano, Herbert and Sherrett for their personalized and extra-pleasant service. My only complaint would be that the no-smoking policy on the resort should be enforced at the beach and pool and have signs posted. The constant breeze makes the smoke smell noticeable if you are downwind from smokers. Although there were only a handful of people who were ignorant in this regard, it should be enforced by the staff. Other than this minor issue, the hotel is exceptionally clean.LOCATION - not much to say on this, except that it is perfect. You are in the city, walking distance to the best shopping and the moving bridge, however, it is very quiet and beautiful on the sea side with the pool and you would never know you are in the city. The cruise ships that dock within site are in no way annoying, it is interesting to sea them and the other freighters that come in....they are all quiet. Even when the cruise ships were in, the city was not overwhelmingly busy. We walked into town most days, just because we could. The moving large pontoon bridge is very neat and it is fun to stand on it when it moves to let boats pass.FOOD - the food was excellent and we love good food. We split our time between the three restaurants for dinner: Nautilus (buffet or menu), Infinity Bar (by the water) and Xquisit (a la carte). The buffet always had fish, chicken and red meat variations, as well as a made-to-order pasta station. Xquisit had excellent food and felt fancier for a special night out. The beach bar view was also great. Lastly, Starbucks is also included in the all-inclusive plan. This is a nice high-calorie vacation treat and a good opportunity to try different drinks :) ROOMS - we had a standard hotel room with two queen beds and upgraded to ocean view on the top floor....which is worth the investment, even if you only enjoy it here and there each day...waking up to the sea and infinity pool and beach view is wonderful with a balcony, two chairs and table. The balcony also offers that extra bit of space to have quiet time when you wake up etc. The beds are so soft and comfortable.Overall, the experience was wonderful and highly recommended. Curacao is a nice island. Although it is not as lush as some others and the beaches are smaller, it is friendly and quaint with a super cute downtown area. Well worth the experience.

Fantastic R&R resort

We came here after hectic travelling around Colombia. It was just what we needed as it is in a superb location and has so many eateries and live music on hand. The hotel is large but we used the infinity pool area each day and found it to be relatively empty and perhaps this is because the hotel is a conference centre and has a casino so we thought that could be the reason. This peace and calm by the pool were a big plus for us and there was also a pool bar/Cafe and the staff would come around to get orders if you did not want to leave your lounger!Another plus was that we did not have to have the $25 (I think) breakfast as we were happy to go and pick up a coffee etc from Starbucks which is in the hotel.. en route to the pool.Make sure you book a sea view room as resort rooms look over shops and do not have balconies. We all said we would love to return!

Great Resort

Stayed here for 7 nights and was the perfect mix for us. Walking distance to tons of lots of great restaurants. I could not have picked a better location in Curaçao. The property is well maintained and as a lifetime platinum Marriott guy I have seen plenty of hotels. You get a great value here as well. Only negative I have is the smoking. The website claims it's a smoke free resort and if you ask the staff at the front desk they will say the same. However the beach/pool is a different story. They have ask trays out there, not sure how you have a smoke free resort with ashtrays ? The staff does nothing to stop the smoking either even cigars but very good with food and bev service. Also recommend the spa while on the beach. Good value and great service as well. We will be back and I will not even look for another resort with I book to Curaçao.
